Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:15am Jeff Golick:

Hellos to @duke, @listener james, @doctorjazz, and all who lurk and listen!
Avatar 9:20am duke:

I'm guessing this is not the Fever Peggy Lee
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:22am Jeff Golick:

You are correct, @duke. A brave new Peggy Lee.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:26am doctorjazz:

Nice sounds from Peggy Lee-I got the last album (at least I think it was he last), the one with the Dylan "All I Really Want To Do" cover (which I heard on D.O., natch).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:29am Jeff Golick:

That's a good one, @doc, but I think there's been at least one more...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:45am doctorjazz:

Ahh, one of my fave's (2 of my faves?), Richard and Linda!
Avatar 9:46am Sem:

Good morning, Jeff, and the Out crowd.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:46am Jeff Golick:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:39am Stanley:

  11:08am Dean:

Checking in to say good morning, but alas, I can't listen in this a.m. I'm in the midst of destination: ERRANDS.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:10am Jeff Golick:

Thanks for the drive-by, @Dean. Happy erranding!
Avatar 11:15am coelacanth∅:

Doug are you looking for a vinyl copy only? (of "words")
  11:15am rw:

Jeff, it's up to you not to heed the social media!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:18am Jeff Golick:

@rw: exactly.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:21am listener james from westwood:

I feel like it's mainly Marley that needs to shake off the bro posers. Late-80s/early-90s white college kids rarely scratched beyond his greatest hits. Except one of my junior year roommates, who had numerous Eek-a-mouse albums!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:26am chresti:

marley was the gateway drug for many
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:27am chresti:

my first taste was double barrel
Avatar 11:29am coelacanth∅:

i did not know reggae was a fratboy thing. the few frat parties i went to, most of them invited by my frat-sweetheart sister, they played grateful dead, shitty j.giels (as oposed to the good early stuff), and, in an effort to impress my sister's "punk" brother, crappy &/or played-out clash and ramones songs.
  11:38am rw:

Maybe it's just early but now I'm trying to imagine a frat party where you replace the Bob Marley with free jazz.
  11:39am rw:

And does this comments board count as social media?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:41am Jeff Golick:

@rw: Nope. (Not to me anyway.)
Avatar 11:43am coelacanth∅:

i've known a few college kids in the past 10-12 years who liked free/out jazz...i guess it's possible (though they definitely didn't seem like fratboy material)
Avatar 11:43am Sem:

Grateful for the show this morning, Jeff, as I listen whilst grappling with deck shading devices ill-suited to the purpose with tools maladapted to the task. Free jazz easier to grasp than the drop-out-from-English-as-a-4th-language writer of the instructions. See you and the Out next time.
Avatar 11:45am coelacanth∅:

good luck Sem!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:45am Jeff Golick:

So glad to provide the sounddtrack for...that, @Sem!
  11:48am rw:

Oh, man. Sounds fun, Sem. Hope it's nice once you get it together!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:51am doctorjazz:

Been enjoying the show ,Jeff, thanks
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:52am Jeff Golick:

Thanks, as ever, @doctorjazz!
Avatar 11:55am coelacanth∅:

this is amazing!
  11:55am rw:

This Fake ID song is cracking me up for so many reasons.
Avatar 11:57am coelacanth∅:

it's so bad it's beautiful!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:57am doctorjazz:

(my college and just out of college girls sure don't go for free jazz... Went to see Sex Mob with the older one, figured they were pretty safe, but Nels Cline and John Madeski guested, they went wild, and my daughter was pretty miserable ..)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:58am doctorjazz:

Nels' Philly show last week, Lovers, was great!
  12:00pm rw:

coel, well put!

drjazz, you're a good dad.

JG, have we hit the end of the Out? I need to make some coffee. Thank you! Happy Sunday everyone!
