Avatar 10:12pm Kris Holmes:

Avatar 10:18pm Kris Holmes:

Wow, apparently they cut Bo Diddley's London Sessions in Chicago & just overdubbed a couple of London additions later to justify the title. I feel cheated!
Avatar 10:20pm Little Danny:

Hahaha. Classic record company hijinks
Avatar 10:25pm Little Danny:

would be curious to read a list of your top five James Brown 45s
Avatar 10:25pm Little Danny:

"There Was a Time" will always be numero uno

Sad that George is retiring and I might not get to see P-Funk anymore...
Avatar 10:31pm Little Danny:

Commit to this stupid exercise with me, Kris. "Cold Sweat" too.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:32pm chresti:

Find an old Texas bluesman to ask for pomade tips. They been wearing it since before air conditioning.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:47pm Uncle Michael:

I know someone that has his number...and the rights to the first two or three Fab Thunderbirds albums...and Stevie Ray's first union card.
Avatar 10:47pm Kris Holmes:

Avatar 10:48pm Kris Holmes:

the first couple of albums are the only ones anyway
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:50pm Uncle Michael:

Stevie was crashing at his apartment, my friend having goten him his first gig in the area. Stevie was cleaning out his wallet late one night and left it on the coffee table. He was pretty much unknown. My friend didn't put it in the trash for some reason. Now it's in a lucite case in his recording studio.
Avatar 10:52pm Kris Holmes:

that's a great story
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:54pm chresti:

another treatment for melting hair might be a personal fire extinguisher or a frozen comb
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:55pm chresti:

Did your freind tell him he had his wallet?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:55pm Uncle Michael:

I held it when I visited him a little over a year ago. He's been in L.A. for decades. He's utterly unknown...flys under the radar...and played me tapes of Dave Davies jamming in his studio and shit. He got a referral to play with Jerry Lee in Tahoe as a fill-in and had to decline a regular gig. He just opened a club in the Valley and plays there with friends. He's got Jorge Calderon in his regular band.
