"I listened yesterday. It's no reflection on you but I could'nt see where you were going or what you were going for. This early seventies thing did'nt get noticed the first time and you talk about friends of like Dealney and Bonnie who had records out like we're supposed to remember who they are. Then you play this long winded free jazz stuff that really grates on my nerves. And that noise without a beat and sounds like someones being pinched. Then you play a reggae song, I think you called it Dub, to what, be cool? You seem to really fetishize the whole folk thing too which is obnoxious to us who don't even care. I liked it when you played that punk song though. I like Joe Belock a lot." (Visit homepage.)

Karen:

I’ve been wondering, is this remixed every week?
Avatar 👻 Swag For Life Member 9:25am
Ken From Hyde Park:

@Karen - I was just composing a comment with the same question. It feels to me like some of the parts in the middle are different. One of life's mysteries.
  9:33am
Karen:

@Ken, yes, there’re parts that sound very similar and parts that sound new. And the song is generally so complex that it’s hard to remember it entirely from week to week. But my fish and I enjoy it as we debate how different each week is.

JA: play a dub song and call it reggae. They'll never expect it.

This song is one of the ones where the lag between radio broadcast and device streaming enhances the music and vibe. :)

Missed last weeks pickup due to test, have many ordinance-breaking garbage bags for next week. Its a mess.
Regarding the pressure washer-a Simpson with a side mounted pump and Honda motor sound pretty good.

  11:34am
goyim in the am:

M.a.l. Is both a brilliant innovative guitarist and a bitter, angry crank; in a recent interview I heard on German radio, he claimed credit for Bowie‘s work with out guitarists, claiming Fripp, Belew, and Gabrels were all carefully instructed to copy his early 70s stuff. Great player with an axe to grind.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:37am
steveo:

Avatar 11:39am

Goyim i think the flaw in the story is that Ohr took the time to send a response, rather they likely would have ignored if there was an actual theft of ideas

@goyim - what radio station was that on? We're talking about Daniel Malempre, right?
