Sunny sunshine vibes and greetings from Los Angeles... :)

Evening Jeff, all.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:10am Your Ace From Exchange Place:

Hello hello!
  12:10am saucerful:

Hello, hello. Nice start! This weekend I watched a 1968 Haight-Ashbury doc I’d never seen before: Revolution. It’s got music by Country Joe & the Fish, Quicksilver Messenger Service, Steve Miller Band, and Mother Earth…including some live footage. There’s a scene at Morningstar commune, and also a performance of psych-out light show and nude dancing (by Ann Halprin dancers, including her daughter Daria who later acted in Antonioni’s Zabriskie Point). If ya wanna watch it (after Avant Ghetto, natch), it's here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W54wktcewz4

Morning Jeff and hello everyone. Perfect way to roll out the end of a beautiful spring day here in the NW

Hey Jeff and fellow AG'ers...
Avatar 12:20am Jeff Conklin:

Morning, all. Thanks for the heads up, saucerful.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:24am Franco Twinkie:

Thanks for tip, Saucerful. I've got it on a real crummy dvd that's all but unwatchable that I found at the flea market. Next hot day I want to stay inside...
Avatar 12:24am Johnny Sal:

Just caught Wet Tuna at Milwaukee Psych Fest a couple nights ago. Great band to see live!
Avatar 12:27am Jeff Conklin:

@Johnny: Hell yeah. That fest looked fun. Wish I coulda been there!
Avatar 12:34am Eiderdown:

That double cassette version of the Wet Tuna album is a MONSTER
Avatar 12:35am Jeff Conklin:

@eiderdown: Yeah It's a must have

Shredding in outer (and inner) space
Avatar 12:39am Eiderdown:

Bit of an Obscured By Clouds vibe with that slide guitar
  12:50am zenkoan:

Jeff, have you heard this group's collaboration with Timothy Leary called Seven Up? My curiosity is piqued.
Avatar 12:51am Jeff Conklin:

@Zenkoan: Yes, its good.
  12:57am saucerful:

I always wondered how that collab happened...I mean, I know Leary was hiding out in Switzerland, but it seems crazy he hooked up with Ash Ra Tempel!
  1:04am J:

Gila = "hee-lah"
  1:06am J:

You're wrong then but OK!
  1:06am J:

Reference: "Gila monster" I'm guessing it's related. Easy to pronounce even haha
  1:07am J:

*now I wanna here you say "quesadilla" on the air...
  1:07am Agent Peter:

Makes it hard to enjoy Donna Jean.
  1:19am saucerful:

Pretty awesome they played "He's Gone" in DC at the height of Watergate...

Hey! Checking in to say hello and then back out again to continue working. Thanks for the tunage. Wet or otherwise. All sounding good this evening.
  1:23am Agent Peter:

I'm tired of traveling, I want to stop at McDonald's...

Was a top version of Loose Lucy at this show, in all seriousness.
Avatar 1:25am Jeff Conklin:

Thanks, rw.
  1:32am dave:

Damn, this is the way to listen to this show! What a recording! Fantastic, thanks Jeff

Avatar 1:34am Jeff Conklin:

Absolutely love that Truckin jam with the HCS teases and that transition into Playin is so.....
  1:34am saucerful:

Yeah, really cool transition...almost raga-ish
  1:35am Agent Peter:

'73 was an era of brilliant transitions almost every night.
Avatar 1:35am mb:

Good morning Jeff all those getting the free jazz free.
  1:37am dave:

Totally agree, incredible

Anna Halprin close to her 98th birthday.
  1:53am saucerful:

Wow, I had no idea she was that old! What an amazing woman.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:57am brycepunk1:

Really enjoyed the Dead set there. Thank you!
  2:18am Stefan:

Good Morning Jeff and listeners. I used to listen regularily to a German (WDR) radio programme "Schwingungen" named in honour of the Ash Ra Temple record of the first set tonight. Well, of course, "they" cancelled the programme decades ago and started a steady decline in quality and so on, you know the gist. Thanks for your show Jeff!
  2:30am T-Bone:

I love this song. It could be an hour long, and still not long enough.
  2:34am Mark R.:

Wow, haven't heard Cockburn in too long, thanks for reminding me how great he is!
  2:50am MattWuet:

I mark the seasons by the backing nature recordings Jeff plays...the beautiful babble of spring...Cheers and thanks, Jeff.
Avatar 2:56am Jeff Conklin:

Thanks for listening everyone. Take care...

I was at the RFK show, 6/9/73, just remembering...
