Loves those ticks and pops TDN!

Really good version of this song. Who is this? Three Dog Night?
Avatar 3:07pm Sid:

That's what I'm thinking - 3 Dog Night
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:08pm abutthegreat:

It's a Band song, though right?
  3:10pm prudy:

Chest Fever
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:10pm abutthegreat:

Chest fever
Avatar 3:16pm Sid:

Chest Fever was the B-side of 3DN's "One" single. Sounded like an off center 7" pressing
  3:21pm scott:

@sid, don't get too vicious.
Avatar 3:25pm Sid:

I'm just Sid Malicious. I'm a pussycat really. :)
  3:37pm Al:

Three Dog Night was king of the cover bands.
  3:48pm scott:

'One', TDN's debut was excellent, but I think 'Harmony' was my favorite album.
Avatar 3:55pm Sid:

TDN were great at picking up & coming songwriters for 7 years there. Shame they succumbed to disco and a shame they were never able to get together with Chuck Negron on the revival circuit again.
  4:01pm scott:

Creative mimicry was in their skill set. Randy Newman in 'Mama told Me' , Otis in 'Try a Little Tenderness', and even Leo Sayer in 'Show Must Go On', among others.
  4:27pm scott:

HUGElarge does a good cover of 'Too Late to Kiss You Now'.
Avatar 4:27pm Mailman Tom:

I went to the record fair yesterday and picked up a few more Ace Rock 'n' Roll compilations. Wonderful stuff, along with informative liner notes. Plenty of bang for the buck!
  4:34pm dano59:

Ace is aces. I've been digging the Omni tortured country LPs
  4:36pm dano59:

Bill's marathon premium comps are rock n roll musts too
  4:38pm scott:

In Oak Cliff Texas folks shoot at the sky, and two of those bullets made holes in my roof.
Avatar 4:43pm Mailman Tom:

How about a German accent, Bill?
Avatar 4:46pm Sid:

FMac's "Oh Well" originally released as a US 7" in '69. Part I the A-Side, Part II on the B. Rereleased in '72.
Avatar 4:48pm Sid:

Still waiting for my marathon bling to make it south of the M-D line. Drooling in anticipation, actually.
  4:49pm Daybreak the Teacher.:

Holy crow, what a show!

Glad I have finally randomly turned WFMU on, in this two hour window on a Sunday.

I’m relatively new to the station and hot damn this is a good program. Until next Sunday I’ll be digging through the archives of the giant smile on my face.

I work in high school which some would call a teenage wasteland, but as with this show: the teenagers are the best part.
Avatar 4:51pm Sid:

Ooh, Daybreak, not gonna touch that one. But yeah, the show rules!
  4:53pm Daybreak the Teacher.:

Those boots are ready to walk out the door in a with a blaze of fire behind!
  4:54pm Daybreak the Teacher.:

Thanks said. Teaching teenagers ain’t for everybody, but, as with most jobs it’s the very self-important other adults that make the job a challenge.
  4:54pm Daybreak the Teacher.:

Sid not said
  4:58pm Daybreak the Teacher.:

Hi Cara Bill! I’m a swag for life man!
  4:59pm Daybreak the Teacher.:

A day of errors, which does not include listening to the show:

care, not Cara
  4:59pm Ochre Ogre:

Daybreak the Teacher- Welcome to the show & the WFMU family!!
Avatar 5:00pm Sid:

Being a teacher is a very important calling - fighting the indoctrination these days is tough!
  5:00pm Daybreak the Teacher.:

Thanks ogre!
  5:00pm Al:

@Daybreak: I second what Ochre Ogre says!
  8:05pm Al:

My intro to TW was I was painting a room in my house, and I wanted to listen to music because music always makes any job go faster. I didn't want to listen to commercial radio or my own CDs. I had heard of WFMU but never heard the station, being out of range. I tuned in via the internet, and TW was on. That was back when my internet connection was dial-up. I'm still listening.
Avatar 2:40pm David Shortell:

I freaked at the 30:20 point, when Bill said Reverend Beat-Man played in Long Branch the previous night. How did I miss such a great show right here on the Jersey Shore?
I looked it up though and they actually played in Long Beach, CA.
  11:16pm bk:

The crude flier packed with the cd must have had a typo.
Swag For Life Member 6:51pm Peapeagirl:

I needed it Bill... Great show...
Welcome, Daybreak the Teacher! I'm a boot & shoe collector & proud of it! A Nancy Sinatra lover from the day, we had so few role models.
My plan was the FMU fair on Sat but the cable people could only come on Saturday, the exact time I had planned to leave. Pissed I missed Reverend Beat-Man also. What a great song! I need to pay more attention to what I love most.
  9:12pm Brainwash:

What a treat to hear Chest Fever by 3DN as I listened to that album, I think called Golden Biscuits, all the time when I was 12 40+ years ago. I didn't find out it was a Band song until 20 years later.
