Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:38am maestroso in Tokyo:

Good morning Bob! Big supporter of this station and long-time listener of your show. As I may have mentioned, your record collection is epic.
Avatar 9:39am Jack:

I won a live Small Faces album from FMU many years ago (it might have been from Bob) Early Faces with Steve Marriott '68? It's a great album; sounds exactly like a live Led Zeppelin album.

I bought a little air plant yesterday, thought it would be fun to try something new. I'll have to write a reminder note to soak it every week.
Avatar 9:49am Lixiviated Life:

Bobby B. you are the oasis. Wish I could just stay here.
  9:50am choggie:

i water my plants like 3 times a day.....I figure, they are like dogs or cats but only last a year so you gotta be extra-special nice to em'....since they're gonna die sooon while you eat off 'em and what-not
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:50am queems:

@melinda those can live a long time! for some reason, most of my air plants end up rotting out from the center eventually. but i've had some of mine for 3-5 years

Request for help.
Can anyone tell me what the deal is with LastFM.com ?
Do I need to download a special player app?
Will it tell the Russians the last time I had a healthy bowl movement?
Is this a free music thing?
or what?
  9:55am choggie:

Plants live a thousand lifetimes in a matter of months....their job is to replicate DNA and survive. It's their JERB!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:58am annie:

all the plants i have are destined to become short and squat, all bonsai. i just bought some sapling plants: Japanese black pine, two different oaks, a cluster of 3 crape myrtle, a trio of redbud; and i already have a nice jade, a chinese privet in a small glass dish, a sad upright fushia(sp), .... and i gave away all the plants that MUST have sun. the window these are in faces northwest.. a grow-light is in order
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:59am queems:

@annie my mom just got a couple small clip-on grow lights and so far she loves them
  10:03am monk:

good morning Dad if you're reading this
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:04am annie:

hhmm. i'll have to see what's out there, i bet a nice selection. those of you who know me on FB will see the pics..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:08am melinda:

That sounds like a cool project Annie, looking forward to the pics. My common areas don't get the sun I would need for some of the plants I want, so I'm growing more pothos (or as I learned from one site "Devil's Ivy").
  10:09am WilliamfromDumont:

What? No love for Revelation Revolution '69?!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:15am annie:

i'm actually going to post a shot of my view with a morning-light aspect..then you'll see what i am working with for light
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:21am Greg from ZONE 5:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:22am Linda Lee:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:22am Linda Lee:

rocket to fame right there :-D
  10:23am exile-on-hicks-st:

@Lix Life Last.fm has changed a bit - they used to stream music, but now stream via Spotify. It seems that it’s a layer for people who are into ‘data’ about their mainstream music-listening habits. I don’t get the sense that the typical ‘FMU’er is the target demographic.
  10:26am exile-on-hicks-st:

E.g- they have a “music discovery” tool that lets you dial two circles of a venn diagram the dials cycle thru common genres and periods of time. If you put something like ‘1940’s’ and ‘electronic’ together there are zero results and you’re told you are ahead of your time.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:28am Henry in Hopatcong:

Great tunes!
  10:30am WilliamfromDumont:

Revolution. Soundtrack great. Movie not so much.
Avatar 10:32am Lixiviated Life:

It doesn't seem like it's something I'd want to sign up for.
You just saved me a lot of frustration.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:32am Linda Lee:

you've done it Bob! i was outside the door bringing in firewood & started looking around for the peepers. confused :-D
Avatar 10:34am Lixiviated Life:

got to sign off.

  10:47am WilliamfromDumont:

Sad to hear about Buell. There was a fantastic recording with Taylor and Archie Shepp from the early sixties. Can't remember the name.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:49am thriftstoreleather:

This Cecil Taylor is great!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:58am Linda Lee:

rarely consider & feel thankful for my hearing ~ but Cecil Taylor helps me remember!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:01am Linda Lee:
