  12:01am V Priceless:

Heya Bill! Congrats on the big 5-0-0!
  12:05am rw:

Five hundred? Shows? Years? Hello Bill Mac! Thanks for filling in tonight! Everything alright with NN?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:06am fleep:

A Scott McDowell fill-in followed by a Bill Mac fill-in, what a fine night
Avatar 12:07am Bill Mac:

Morning Gents and thanks. Sometimes it does feel like I been here forever, in a good way. Nick is good, i think he just needs a breather before the marathon.
  12:07am Will:

Aphrodite's Child! Sounds sorta like Amon Duul.
  12:09am rw:

Ha! I was thinking the Aphrodite's Child sounded sorta like Magma.
Avatar 12:10am Bill Mac:

Hi Will, yeah AC was fronted by Vangelis. First time I heard his name was when Yes needed a replacement for Rick Wakeman. I recall seeing 666 floatnig around on various inner sleeve advertisements back in the 70s. Intrigued but never heard any of it until coming here.
Avatar 12:11am Bill Mac:

I got some Magma for tonite if'n yr interested.
  12:12am rw:

And so far Zzzzzzero Hour sounds sorta like Nick's show. We'll be here and ready for whatever you'd like to throw down!
Avatar 12:12am coelacanth∅:

greetings Bill and MacZzzzzzeros
Avatar 12:14am Bill Mac:

Awesome, haven't done edgy in a while. What up CC!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:23am Stanley:

One minute it's shitty sleepless tossing turnip, the next it's Bill's 500th show live. Hi Bill, Man.
Avatar 12:25am Bill Mac:

Hah Hah! Didn't expect to see any representation from the Isles today. Great to see you Stanner...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:29am Stanley:

It'd be intersting to see if any others tune in. Anyway, probably best to write off the rest of the night and enjoy the show.
Avatar 12:30am Bill Mac:

That's what I'm doing. I thought of planning something, but the moment I start thinking is when things begin to go south.
  12:31am Dean:

Alkatraz? Neutrons? More Man?
  12:38am Dean:

And yet he hit the big time in the states when he collaborated with Jon Anderson on that "Heaven and Hell" album!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:39am Rich in NC:

Hey Bill Mac
Avatar 12:39am Bill Mac:

Not to mention Chariots of Fire.
Avatar 12:40am Bill Mac:

Hey hey Rich, thanks for staying up!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:40am Rich in NC:

  12:42am Andy in Berlin:

  12:48am rw:

  12:49am Andy in Berlin:

@Bill - bleary-eyed but otherwise ok. And yourself?
Avatar 12:49am Bill Mac:

Took me long enough to get here that's fer sher...
Avatar 12:49am Bill Mac:

@Andy A little bleary-eyed myself but glad to be here.
  12:51am KP:

Well just guessing but I think I’m closer to Philly now
Avatar 12:52am Bill Mac:

@KP Just a little to the left...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:52am Stanley:

500 shows is exactly two solid months of your life in the studio. Time well spent.
Avatar 12:55am Bill Mac:

Agreed! Speaking of which, how long have you been loafing about here? I think you've been listening at least 10 years.
  12:59am mauri:

Heyyyyy Bill and gang! skiing holiday starts now!
Avatar 1:00am Bill Mac:

You Mauri! I think skiing is done here for the season.... boo!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:04am Stanley:

I think I first started listening in 2002, long before we had the comments board. Funny, this evening I was thinking about how in all this time I haven't made a visit. Might put that right this year.
Avatar 1:05am coelacanth∅:

winter ain't over. more snow coming.
Avatar 1:06am Jeff Moore:

Hey, Bill! I just noticed you're here.
Avatar 1:10am coelacanth∅:

that's a lot of chocrit
Avatar 1:10am Bill Mac:

Hi Jeff, nice to be here in the morning, but already showing signs of wear...
Avatar 1:13am Bill Mac:

@CC Har-dee.... I didn't catch it right away...
Avatar 1:13am Jeff Moore:

I understand. If I were doing your gig I'd be suffering the mental fatigue of anticipating the long haul back south after getting through the late show slot.
  1:15am mauri:

Im having a holiday week. Im named after m a numminen. my voice is different. phew.
Avatar 1:17am Bill Mac:

It's all gravy from this point forward.... 3 am traffic out of here isn't so bad, but I do have to caffeinate myself before i leave.
Avatar 1:18am Bill Mac:

@Mauri I'd ask you to explain but I won't... glad you voice is different than his is though!
  1:19am Andy in Berlin:

off to the gym. have a great one, everybody!
Avatar 1:19am Bill Mac:

@You too Andy!!!
  1:21am rw:

Ten of those hoses strung together would make... oh, never mind. Enjoying the show.
Avatar 1:23am Bill Mac:

Thank you for the partial math exercise rw.

Answer after 2:00 am... stay tuned!!!!
  1:31am mauri:

I now read rhe email. Candles and cakes and balloons companied by a fanfare for the 500th!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:34am Stanley:

mmm......it's that album again
Avatar 1:35am Bill Mac:

Saw the instrumental, couldn't pass it up...
  1:35am Dean:

I had that thought, too, Stanley. On rotation, I suppose.
Avatar 1:36am Bill Mac:

Trying to keep me honest, eh?
  1:36am rw:

The instrumental sounds amazing though! Hadn't heard that one yet.
Avatar 1:38am Bill Mac:

Lucas has been performing Beefheart material with other people for years now. all good stuff
  1:38am Dean:

Avatar 1:53am Bill Mac:

@rw Thanks man! See you at #501!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:54am Stanley:

Just wondering, Bill, whether you've ever played any Bill Harkleroad
Avatar 1:55am Bill Mac:

I thought I played something from Bozo a ways back. I'll need to dig his solo stuff out.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:58am Stanley:

I can't remember what it was like. Happy if you could pick out a good one to share.
Avatar 2:20am coelacanth∅:

hey Bill my time has come before yours. (i actually have to get up in a few hours for a long and stressful day, making an imperceivable dent toward cleaning my father's house)
Thanks! take care
Avatar 2:22am Bill Mac:

Cool man, thanks for the listen. Enjoy the weekend if you dare!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:22am Fran:

Hi Bill and all - a very flying visit to say Happy 500 - you have now matched the number of Status Quo alleged final farewell tour shows and the number of people worldwide that will own up to still owning and playing Foreigner IV! Looking forward to 501 very soon.
Avatar 2:25am Bill Mac:

Wow this IS an important milestone! Not Toto-important mind you, but i'm in pretty lofty company. Thanks a heap Fran!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:33am Stanley:

Thanks for the Zoot
Avatar 2:34am Bill Mac:

I forgot how good it was. He's a great player
  2:35am David Greenwood:

just learned about WFMU by watching the documentary on Netflix and seriously upset that I've wasted my whole life not listening to the best radio station in the whole world that I never knew about. you have the honor of being the first live DJ for me and it's your 500th. I will be ruminating on the significance of that for the rest of my life in which I will only be listening to WFMU.
Avatar 2:36am fred:

Hello Bill. Congrats on the milestone
Avatar 2:39am Bill Mac:

Hey Ho Fred, thanks, I understand you're celebrating a milestone of youre own. Happy B-day man!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:40am Fran:

Hi Stanley!
Avatar 2:44am fred:

Not me, my birthday is in April
Avatar 2:44am Bill Mac:

@David I'm honored, thanks, and fear not, you're here now, and there are archives where you can catch up on the stations past. Time to get saved!!!
Avatar 2:45am Bill Mac:

Ahhh I was misinformed! In that case, I have a another milestone, but it's in May... rather not discuss that one!!
  2:50am Stanley:

Hi Fran. Good to see you.
Avatar 2:56am Bill Mac:

Well folks, here we are - an even 500.... I'll see you for the second round soon!

Thanks for staying up late or getting up early to listen!
Avatar 2:57am fred:

Thanks Bill
  2:57am Stanley:

Well this has been a treat, keeping me company in the deep dark sleepless night. Friday in the office so it's just me, Stan, Clay and Doug. Back home for some Uncle Hinky, a quick trip to the pub then it's back for beers at home with Viccy and Sheila. Friday's are so worth waiting for. Talking of which, see you next Friday, Bill. It's been great spending your five hundredth with you and friends. Stay safe all till next time.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:01am pfanch:

happy 500 GREAT SHOW!
Avatar 4:25am Brian in UK:

Bill, wow it's only a number but a BIG one. Sorry to miss the show, we went to a gig last night in Cambridge, got back late and realised now. Hope you did not leave the cake out in the rain!
