Listener comments!

  3:03am BEAVO:

Great start! Cha-cha-cha is the father of the man!
Avatar 3:05am markr:

Thanks, Beavo--sorry for the crackle. This one's been played a lot!
  3:09am Vincent Nifigance:

It's come around again. Good morning everyone.
Avatar 3:12am markr:

Morning, Vincent. A petit taste of French music, oui?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:14am ! I X Key !:

  3:15am BEAVO:

crackles make it real
Avatar 3:16am markr:

Oh, it's real, alright. I brought in my own copy, then I compared it to the station copy, and they were equally crackly.
  3:16am BEAVO:

It took me years in the 70s and 80s to finally find out what album House in the Country was on.
  3:17am BEAVO:

I thought it was the Kinks for a while wrong song same title
Avatar 3:19am markr:

I've had songs like that. There was one Badfinger song in particular that I heard when I was about 12, that I finally heard a few years ago, and it wasn't as great as I had remembered!
  3:20am BEAVO:

Nice Ibert
  3:21am BEAVO:

Al Kooper talk about being in the right place at the right time with just enough talent.
  3:22am BEAVO:

Kooper’s book backstage passes and Backstabbing bastards is a good read
  3:29am BEAVO:

Not only did he bullshit his way onto one of the biggest records in history he actually created the outstanding signature part of that record the organ part. An instrument he didn’t really play.
  3:35am BEAVO:

I have a Jussi Bjorling bootleg from Atl in 1956
  3:40am BEAVO:

Recall reading somewhere Bjorling was a large Swede that could hold his own in a drinking situation.
  3:41am BEAVO:

I’m gonna chill now and enjoy the music
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:47am Guido from Cologne:

Good morning Mark!
Love this Ora Cogan song!
Got one of her earlier albums.
Considering checking the new one.
Avatar 4:16am Sem:

Good morning, Mark, those who Circle this time of day.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:31am pacific standard simon:

Ever heard Robyn Hitchcock's double CD Dylan tribute, Mark?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:33am pacific standard simon:

1;30 on Bainbridge Island...
  4:33am Matt W:

11:30 am in Finland! :-) Almost lunchtime...Great set for Monday morning at work!
Avatar 4:36am markr:

Morning and much love to you, Debt Collector.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:36am pacific standard simon:

There are times when I wished that I lived east of Greenwich Mean Time. Most of my favorite WFMU shows are live when I am asleep.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:38am pacific standard simon:

Matt, eat some herring for me.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:40am pacific standard simon:

The Shat is the man.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:41am Guido from Cologne:

is this true
Avatar 4:43am markr:

I haven't heard Hitchcock do Dylan, Simon--sounds intriguing.

Angel Olsen! :-)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:52am pacific standard simon:

It's called Robyn Sings. One disc is Robyn doing his favorite Dylan songs, and the other is a re-creation of the famous '66 Albert Hall concert.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:54am pacific standard simon:

Well worth seeking out, or I can fix you up if it's not available.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:54am Guido from Cologne:

Robyn Hitchcock doing Sgt. Pepper songs solo with accustic guitar ... and other pocket symphonies ... it's awesome!
Avatar 4:56am markr:

Sounds cool, Simon. Welcome, Sean.

Avatar 5:06am markr:

Good morning, Dave. Dave, have you met Debt Collector from Burlington?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:08am pacific standard simon:

Pretty much anything by Robyn Hitchcock is awesome. I saw him in the early '90s with Alex Chilton opening. OMG. Then again when The Soft Boys re-united in 2001, at The Fillmore, with the Young Fresh Fellows opening, and Roy Loney sang "Teenage Head". Thomas Dolby did an encore with the Soft Boys, which I missed, because my FORMER spouse wanted to leave.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:14am pacific standard simon:

My advice is, if you can still get tickets at Monty Hall, DO IT.
Avatar 5:15am markr:

Both shows are sold out, sadly. :(
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:18am pacific standard simon:

Not my problem anymore, then. Dear Robyn, please come to Bainbridge Island!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:22am Guido from Cologne:

Robyn visits Cologne repeatedly.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:23am pacific standard simon:

Frank Ferrante, who does An Evening With Groucho Marx, comes here regularly.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:28am Guido from Cologne:

This is a slow version of a song I remember Ty does here.
Or is it from "sleeper"?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:29am pacific standard simon:

ROBYN! You need to come here and see us! Fuck Seattle!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:30am Guido from Cologne:

Unfortunately the Cologne venue "Gebäude 9" do overloud mixes with groups like ty Segall, that it really spoils the music. Not even punch in the rythem. Just mash. Send all deaf engineers to therapy and give them another job.
Avatar 5:50am Sem:

Oh, Leonard.
  5:53am Krys O.:

Never noticed how the bass line was ripped off for Every Breath You Take.
Avatar 5:55am Sem:

Thanks, Mark, non-stop deliciousness since I joined in @ Stuck Inside of Mobile...see you next time.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:56am Guido from Cologne:

thank you and CU
Avatar 5:57am markr:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:57am Guido from Cologne:
