hey irwin and everyone. i agree, keyofz.com is an inspiring web presence
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:02pm Listener Bob in PGH:

OMG, why is Rick Saccone contacting you? Have you lived in PA at some point in your adult life?
Avatar 3:02pm Jack:

Well, that much is true. I came for the music, but stayed for the cynicism.

Gotta go find one o' those...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:04pm Uncle Michael:

Irwin, may I pleasse have some music to roll matzoh balls by? This is not spam.
  3:06pm brainiac:

Is it Hot In The Airport, or is it just me?
  3:06pm Laura L:

spamBlocker can't detect all those as Known spam instead of just Suspect Email, huh.
Avatar 3:06pm βrian:

Yeah, spam in matzoh balls wouldn't seem right somehow.

This Wickham track is great! Sounds like it mighta taken some inspiration from Harold McNair's "The Hipster."

From what I've learned from the Techtonic program, using an anonymous search engine like duckduckgo reduces spam from Russian hotties and other various scam web sites.

Ken from HP, have you tried the Duck Duck Go browser add on? That Techtonic show (1/29, for those interested) has got me thinking too.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:24pm BronwynB:

hey jack :D
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:25pm Listener Bob in PGH:

I use the Duck Duck Go browser add-on. It's pretty good. Occasionally the search results are weird but it's usually fine. The android browser is fine except it doesn't deal well with media.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:46pm Parq:

Brave Combo did a Latin version of "Hey There, You With the Stars in Your Eyes", admitting in the liner notes that they copped the arrangement from Peggy.
  3:46pm flashbazbo:

This is a dead song Irwin. I'm dreaming too
Avatar 3:48pm Jack:

I've never liked the Dead's (wimpy) version but I like this.

Avatar 4:08pm Irwin:

Unca Mike: You are correct. I really like Weir's version, but haven't heard one by the GD that hits me in the sweet spot.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:10pm redkayak:

Hahaha one for @Brian
  4:13pm oks:

no more Joe Frank ??
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:16pm Uncle Michael:

I would argue that Weir's version is the Grateful Dead studio version. Potato, potato.
Avatar 4:17pm Irwin:

No more Joe, unfortunately. It's a delicate issue.
  4:22pm oks:

oh no...death,wife,money...it is really unfortunate. Love Joe Frank
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:23pm Parq:

Aw, man. I couldn't listen to the tribute show and I was planning to get to the archive soon. He who hesitates, I guess.
  4:27pm s.b:

Irwin, could you play Art Blakely - Moanin' for this moron's 49'th (that's me) birthday?.
Avatar 4:27pm Irwin:

I planned to continue airing Joe shows in perpetuity or until my death, whichever came first. But something unforeseen preempted such scheduling.
  4:28pm Tony Seymour:

Yo from Oahu
Avatar 4:28pm Jersey Cowboy:

Wait - Irwin may live in perpetuity?
  4:30pm Dean:

Rule against perpetuity - keep the hand of the dead from reaching up from the grave...

You sure none of The Road is scripted? I'm sure The Surveillance Camera Players have affiliates in Russia.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:38pm Parq:

To borrow a trope from the XKCD comic, my hobby is saying "rule against perpetuities" in a crowded room and looking for the people who break out in a sweat, thereby picking out the law students.
Avatar 4:43pm Jersey Cowboy:

Thought it'd be the trust fund kids getting nervous and sweating...

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:01pm Parq:

Irwin at 4:55, quel dommage. I would have loved it if you guys had actually set up a label for her. Just think of the appearances she could have made at whatever has replaced CMJ.
Avatar 5:03pm Linda Lee:

sorry i missed so much show today!
  5:04pm P:

Did Amanda have a song where she sang, "hey you...sour grapes, this is something you can't hate?" Or am I thinking of another song?
Avatar 5:05pm Linda Lee:

highly recommend Radio Ravioli if you haven't heard it. magical!
  5:05pm Listener Robert:

Hmph. I love kids. I even coach them in football. The Power Child would've been OK as irritainment if Irwin hadn't gone on such a jag of them several yrs. ago.

Avatar 5:06pm Seanbelly:

Amanda will smash the unbelievers, and destroy Don Felder's dead fish handshake hold over Tuesday mornings.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:08pm Ken From Hyde Park:

I don't suppose Amanda has kids of her own yet, does she?
Avatar 5:09pm Irwin:

The last I heard from Amanda (ca. 2011), she was getting married, had no kids at that point.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:11pm Parq:

.. as the nice places often are. .. odd though .. cannery row ... expensive ..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:51pm Asheville Jon:

of course, i could see the monterey fairgrounds from the house i lived in, so that was always amazing when music happened there, and brought that whole aspect of history to life too
