“call me maybe” came out in 2012! that’s memorable!
Avatar 12:48pm northguineahills:

I can give you a day-by-day account of 2011, but I'm weird w/ memory.
Avatar 12:49pm DeemerDave:

@northguineahills same. i remember everything
Avatar 12:50pm JakeGould:

I quit a job that was stressing me out in 2011.

I also saw Lush in 1991 with Smashing Orange at the Marquee in Chelsea and in 1992 at the Ritz with Poster Children. I mainly wanted to see Lush in both cases.
  12:50pm queems:

such a good song!
Avatar 12:50pm JakeGould:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:57pm Parq:

I live in a world where Fred Schneider covers "Fluffy" -- I'm just going to sit here for a minute and take that in.
Avatar 12:58pm Dominick:

Loving this version
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:11pm Ken From Hyde Park:

I noticed an internet headline this week that mentioned turmeric helps keep one's memory sharp. Also, what is turmeric?

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:16pm Krys O.:

I saw Ellen Foley at the Bitter End around 1985. Great show and I was a fan since Three Girls Three.
  1:17pm fletchernyc:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:18pm Joligee:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:18pm Booz:

Ellen Foley so epic
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:19pm PBastille:

Didn't Ellen date Mr. Loaf and appear in a vid or two of his?
Avatar 1:19pm Dominick:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:21pm Tome:

Avatar 1:21pm Pseu Braun:

dated mick jones of the clash who later morphed into mick foley of wrestling fame
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:22pm Krys O.:

LOL, Pseu!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:23pm Krys O.:

I don't think Mrs. Loaf would be happy about these rumors.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:24pm PBastille:

That's right, just looked it up. And she sang on Paradise by the Dashboard Lights, but Karla DeVito lip-synced the video
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:32pm Bobby Whirlwind:

"Learn to Love" sounds like a duet from a Disney movie
  1:37pm miles:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:40pm PBastille:

Not an Ellen Foley encyclopedia. Just looked at her website.
  1:40pm melinda:

Yeah, Night Court is what I remember.
  1:40pm melinda:

I loved Night Court.
  1:41pm fletchernyc:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:41pm PBastille:

From her website: Now when she sings a ballad of heartbreak, she likes to joke that she has plenty of experience to draw from. “You don’t know pain until you’ve been replaced in a role by Markie Post,” she says.
  1:41pm queems:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:41pm Bobby Whirlwind:

Lot of chair-smashing going on lately
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:42pm Booz:

Quite a range, Ms Foley, playing off Mr Loaf and John Larroquette in the same lifetime.
  1:44pm whattawino:

Recently watched Ellen Foley in Married To The Mob. Smallish role but a fun movie!
Avatar 1:46pm βrian:

Lists will kill freeform radio.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:49pm Parq:

Saw Ellen Foley *and* Meat Loaf, with Richard Belzer to boot, in a touring version of the National Lampoon cabaret show in Boston in '76. Always makes me smile to see Belzer in that cop show.
  2:00pm jess:

love The Ruttles!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:00pm Parq:

Dang, Innes sounds so much like Lennon that, at first, I thought this was a mash-up of "Walrus" and some Lennon song I didn't know.
  2:00pm melinda:

I did think this was the Beatles until I heard "piggy in the middle" and remembered. Haha.
  2:01pm Websie:

It's the 40th anniversary of the Rutles' NBC film. (Appearances on the BBC and SNL before then.)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:01pm Krys O.:

Neil Innes said, "To Rutle is a verb."
  2:03pm melinda:

Parq I think Homicide was one of the best TV shows.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:03pm Krys O.:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:32pm Kat in Chicago:

Chair-ing is caring
  2:33pm melinda:

@dale I thought the early seasons of Night Court had a nice Barney Miller vibe.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:35pm Stevel:

Thought Bobby Jealousy was A Giant Dog, for a moment. That moment has passed.
Avatar 2:36pm TDK60:

Today is the kind of day when I need to throw a chair.
Avatar 2:39pm Wild Neil:

PEACE All. Pseu, it is so cool you play Brian Jonestown Massacre related stuff!
Avatar 2:40pm Wild Neil:

Quick! What cover songs should our local talk radio guy with long hair play in his band? Something not too unknown, yet good. From 60's to early 00's?
Avatar 2:40pm TDK60:

  2:40pm melinda:

This vocalist reminds me of John Cale
  2:40pm helpful internet person:
