hello Scott and all. It's nice to finally enjoy the show in real time w/o any background noise.
Avatar Mon. 1/15/18 3:44pm northguineahills:

If I was going to speculate wildly, then I'd say Carla Morrison is from the State of Hidalgo, as Morrison is mostly, outside of London (and other places due to migration), is mostly found in SW England, including Cornwall. At the turn of the 20th c., there was a mass immigration of Cornish miners to Hidalgo to operate the tin mines there. /wild speculation off //mi amo Pachuca

Avatar Mon. 1/15/18 4:29pm Mister Dobalina:

@Scott..Sorry for the delay on getting back..cleaning up the messy apt. I had mixed feelings about the doc, but glad to hear the back story to what has been going on with the station. I did walk away with even more respect for the DJ's that put all the effort and time in to trying to make things work. Maybe I didn't say all that, 'right' but I enjoyed watching for sure!

  Mon. 1/15/18 4:51pm Mister Dobalina:

Oh thanks for mentioning Terry Riley because that reminded of Terry Reid, who should be coming around nYc in the next couple of months, as he usually does.
Avatar Mon. 1/15/18 4:51pm Ike:

Any earworm that dares to attack me gets the Poppy Nogood treatment inside my brain. As long as I really focus, it *never* fails to destroy the earworm utterly!
Avatar Mon. 1/15/18 4:52pm Mister Dobalina:

Ike, are those Twinkies or fish sticks flying over your cat head?
Avatar Mon. 1/15/18 4:53pm common:

Avatar Mon. 1/15/18 4:54pm coelacanth∅:

spy devices disguised as regular ol' flying pickles
Avatar Mon. 1/15/18 4:54pm Ike:

@MD, cucumbers, because of the meme/rumor that cats are terrified of cukes. Although this cat head seems more awestruck than frightened.
Avatar Mon. 1/15/18 4:56pm Matt from Springfield:

No. Good.
  Mon. 1/15/18 4:57pm khd:

i think the edibles are kicking in..
Avatar Mon. 1/15/18 4:57pm Mister Dobalina:

Avatar Mon. 1/15/18 5:00pm northguineahills:

  Mon. 1/15/18 5:34pm Lyle:

Eugeniusz Rudnik. Ruddy, we called him. He was a piece of work. I met him when I was with Hurricane Smith's band, and believe me, this was way after "Oh Babe What Would You Say," so Hurricane wasn't exacty riding high. We were in Pembina, ND, as I recall. Ruddy was with The New Vaudeville Band and they were milking the last bit of glory out of "Winchester Cathedral" at that time. As I recall, the gig was a benefit for a church in Minot that was trying to get outfitted with new pews. We were playing outside in November on the back of a flatbed truck. As you might imagine, it was colder than cold. This was in the days before plastic mouthpieces. I recall that Ruddy liked his Tuborg Gold, and he must have had seven or eight cans of it when he decided to bum rush the stage during our encore. This did not sit well with the local Monsignor who actually body tackled Ruddy and took him to the ground in front of the crowd, who then erupted in pleased applause! Looking back, it was the perfect show-stopper and ending. I never saw Ruddy after that. He did his thing evidently, and I soon left Hurricane Smith and hooked up with John Gary, who was squeezing the last ounce of life out of his "Yellow Bird" single. Ah, the life of a musician on the road. I enjoy your program, Mr. Williams. Keep up the fine work.

Mon. 1/15/18 5:46pm david from ks:

,,,,I am now appreciating all DJs Who have demonstrated to Myself that their was a life of beautiful music after I lost the initiative that started in 1985 concluded in 1992 to keep traveling to Kansas City, MO. and other locals when the opportunity arose (vacations) on a monthly basis and set up long play rec. recording equipment in the cheapest motels just to hear the hopeful sounds of volunteer community radio. The first computer I purchased in 2004 was a long distance radio with clear sound period. My best friend had given me a small CD soundbite sample of WFMU from his nephew`s machine after a string of my requests and I knew the station that was to fill that void. Thanks so much DJ S.W. (Long time Playing D.J.) for Your help and donated time for the greater good and to WFMU for one of the last "free spaces via the comment board available to anyone.,,Much Respect and Thanks for the music broadcast from the vessel that is the "Centre of Cultural Music Most High". d.n.a.
