Oh Fab, we're glad...you're here to help us forget the world for three hours!
Avatar 3:07pm Wild Neil:

Peace all. I GOTTA play this for my 14 year old boy. It will blow-his-mind.

Who liked "Loopers"? This song makes me think of the gold strapped to the about to die dudes.
  3:10pm Brendan:

Hi Fabio and friends. Really digging this , especially the stuff around 20 kHz . My dog is getting some good vibes too - who knows what she's grooving to.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:13pm Scraps:

aaaaahhhhhh..... bleep
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:13pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Fitting. Today marks The Failure of the Internet, as far as it being a free and open entity.
Internet access where you pay more for better speed? No problem!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:15pm Scraps:

Ken, I’m surprised that it lasted that long. Money talks; eventually it will get around the internet, too
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:16pm Scraps:

And yeah, I’m depressed
Avatar 3:24pm Chris from DC:

Some favorite Daniel Menche here. Helping take the edge off just a little bit.
  3:24pm Brendan:

Depressed. Soon to be oppressed and repressed. Give those clowns an inch and they’ll take a mile. 3 more yrs then hopefully we can repeal their repeal.
Avatar 3:25pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Chris (fDC) i'm also very into "body melt". it's in my bedtime music playlist most nights.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:33pm steveo:

Avatar 3:34pm Chris from DC:

Slumber has the same effect, another real fave, highly recommended.
  3:35pm nic:

great idea love it !!!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:38pm DreamCricket:

FAB, What are you talking about?
Avatar 3:39pm coelacanth∅:

creatures of cadence; bleeding heavens; quanta of light...all in my sleep playlists.
...progeny(sp?) of flies, not! some of the sounds are too real!
Avatar 3:39pm coelacanth∅:

i think i've never heard "slumber".
Avatar 3:44pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Haven't played it in ages but I also endorse Slumber. Menche's bandcamp is a very deep sea indeed.
  3:44pm Brendan:

Reminds of Bowie saying ‘fame’
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:46pm mrdonutsu:

That almost sounds like Gibby...
  3:47pm Brendan:

A face can say a lot. Especially the mouth part.
Avatar 3:47pm Chris from DC:

Coel, Slumber is to my knowledge his most recent.
Avatar 3:53pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Avatar 3:53pm coelacanth∅:

oh, Thanks. i haven't visited his bandcamp page in a few years. i can't afford any of his albums now so it's frustrating.
Avatar 4:04pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

  4:08pm nic:

loved it all!!!
Avatar 4:09pm Chris from DC:

Yamazaki was absolutely riveting when she played down here recently.
Avatar 4:09pm northguineahills:

I have buns! (no longer live in Billyburg)
Avatar 4:10pm coelacanth∅:

i don't think they'd let me in that place.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:12pm mrdonutsu:

Not at all wanting to distract from Fabio, but these just came across my FB feed and I think a lot of you might appreciate (after all is said and done here): www.youtube.com...
Avatar 4:13pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

my own personal beard does not indicate "hipness," rather it indicates the special character of one who is "too goddamned tired to live in this world any more." [see also: NOW STINKS].

Also: too old to be cool anymore. Thus, totally safe. OOH, this audio...

  4:14pm SeanG:

thanks so much mrdonutsu! when i walk into Target there's no music at all, it's like a morgue

Avatar 4:16pm northguineahills:

oh, the manbun, it all makes sense, (I rarely saw the man bun in Billyburg).
Avatar 4:17pm northguineahills:

Does having a beard b/c you only shave every 10-14 days count? (My beard grows in really quickly).
Avatar 4:17pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Logan Circle is DC's Williamsburg. And hoo-boy, do we got buns.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:17pm mrdonutsu:

I'm 9 years old again, walking past the ICEE machine and the deli case of canned hams, pulled inexorably forward towards the flashing blue light...
Avatar 4:18pm coelacanth∅:

my hair maybe slightly too long for a fashionable manbun (not that i'd do that...a woman did that to me in the late 80s. ugh, i want to destroy all images of me from then)
Avatar 4:20pm coelacanth∅:

ngh, it could work, if you trim it all tidy-like.
  4:20pm SeanG:

manbuns strain the follicles i've heard
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:21pm ɨkɛ:

c∅: I doubted it too, but as it turns out, even the middle-aged straight-edgy tilted-square likes of me can infiltrate said area and eyeball the vile trust-fund upper crust of the post-hipster milieu. In fact it's probably more tourists than anything now. Not that there's much reason to go except for concerts or Fabio's wee record shoppe.
Avatar 4:22pm northguineahills:

@coel, no chance at that!
Avatar 4:25pm TDK60:

I have failed at shaving. Saw Menche last year was it? Intense.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:25pm ɨkɛ:

(That was re: 4:10.)
  4:26pm Dean:

I was at an event a few weeks ago in Berkeley or environs wearing a WFMU t-shirt. Another person there saw the shirt, walked over, and reported that he had just received an update, Facebook or some such, from Fabio about the record shop.
Avatar 4:27pm coelacanth∅:

i actually do shave/trim- but not around whatever it is that's fashionable these days...just around my lame-ass chops, and only every 5 days or so. i don't know what i look like to others.
Avatar 4:29pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Faces are overrated. You may quote me.
Avatar 4:29pm Chris from DC:

I could put this Masaya Kato on a loop and listen a good long while.
Avatar 4:30pm coelacanth∅:

i've stopped receiving solicitations from Fabio. maybe because i haven't been in there in about 170 years.
'sorry Fabio.
Avatar 4:33pm coelacanth∅:

Rev. that works for me

Avatar 4:51pm dale:

i was at a discount store and looking through the dvds i saw a 5 movie comp of spaghetti westerns, 3 starring klaus kinski and i let it pass - four bucks but you can't have it all.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:57pm Ricky:

Just revisited a fav spaghetti... Mannaja: A Man Called Blade (1977). It's got a great title song, not to be missed.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:17pm Passaic River Blues:

Avatar 5:19pm Fabio:

Avatar 5:26pm dale:

i saw you coming over the horizon steveo, but it's 21 degrees out so i didn't hang around for full flight.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:28pm common:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:30pm Ken From Hyde Park:

A nice flyover like last night. Didn't see Geminids this morning due to extreme cloud cover.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:36pm Carmichael:

Oh yeah, meteor shower this weekend! What theme music for that? Tomita? Holst? Richard Youngs?
Avatar 5:36pm dale:
