Avatar 3:03pm Sem:

Hiya, Irwin, Chusidians, the Chusidian-friendly.
  3:06pm Dean:

...not to mention the Chusidian-curious.

My mom loathes Curious George. "Disgusting little monkey!"
Avatar 3:08pm Listening Out There:

Ether you like it or you don't...
Avatar 3:10pm Jack:

I still have a bottle of Metofane from years ago.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:11pm Dominick:

Just finding out about this Sopwith Camel release
Very nice
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:13pm Michael 98145:

Diethyl ether is quite effective starting fluid
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:15pm crateslinger:

good for knocking out Lou Costello too.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:17pm crateslinger:

should one desire to kidnap Lou Costello
  3:18pm berbo:

When he awoke, he called up his good friend Hunter.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:19pm pantz:

Nothing more depraved, eh @berbo?
Avatar 3:25pm Wild Neil:

PEACE All. I learned in Tony's Machine Shop at NMSU that you could weld clear acrylic with ether very quickly and easily. It was fun to go get it at the chemistry lab.
  3:26pm phillip in the bronx:

hey we just hit 29 degrees. with a 15mph wind. so it feels like 9 degrees outside
  3:26pm Tony Seymour:

Beats all this lame island disco.

  3:32pm LandOfJƏrƏmy:

This Belinda Carlisle album was one of the first cassettes I owned. I like this version...
Avatar 3:36pm Listening Out There:

It's the late Larry Coryell. Who's drumming?
Avatar 3:37pm AnAnonymousParty:

Take your hands off my ether, you damn filthy ape!
Avatar 3:40pm Irwin:

Paul Wertico and Marc Egan on the session.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:40pm Dominick:

Great version
  3:41pm Dean:

Wertico was in Laurence Hobgood's Union, a piano trio I kinda like. Was also one of the drummer's on the sublimely bizarre record featuring Pat Metheny and Derek Bailey.
Avatar 3:42pm AnAnonymousParty:

Guitar players named Larry are ok me when their last names begin with 'C'.
  3:42pm Dean:

Whew. Good thing Segovia's first name wasn't Larry!
Avatar 3:48pm Listening Out There:

@AnAnonymousParty: Even Larry Carlton?
Avatar 3:49pm Jeff Moore:

I understand that clearing your PRAM gets more and more difficult as the years go on.
Avatar 3:50pm AnAnonymousParty:

Larry Carlton is near the top of my list of guitar players, and not because of alphabetical placement.
Avatar 3:52pm Irwin:

Jeff, don't we know it!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:52pm Ken From Hyde Park:

My mom brought home all kinds of Curious George books from the library when we were kids. I'm certain I've seen this one with the ether.
Avatar 3:54pm Irwin:

Curious George was a major influence in my wayward youth. He taught me a LOT.
Avatar 3:55pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...1st on my list: Don't confuse Larry Carlton w/ Larry Coryell...
Avatar 3:57pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...*that* Larry: wfmu.org...
  3:58pm Dean:

Adore H&tN, but must run, dammit.

Avatar 4:06pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

@Jack: Well - I got no interwebz @ home for a long while - & my old Mac won't give me current Passwords to use them here @ the Library ferinstance...so it could be a month er 2 fore I reads it...If not indiscreet or a drag on the amount of oxygen available in these Comments - fire away...already too much me for poor Irwin today!...
Avatar 4:06pm AnAnonymousParty:

Years ago, like mid 80's, I saw both Larry C's on the same night at Westport playhouse in St. Louis. Great show. Big contrast between the two.
Avatar 4:09pm Jack:

@RRN63 -No biggie, just a note saying hi. U OK otherwise?
Avatar 4:13pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

@Jack: Cheers! ...Meh. : / :) ... I'll be glad to see the Rooster Year in the rearview after too much longer, I think - as it's Rabbit's opposite...
Avatar 4:16pm AnAnonymousParty:

  5:49pm Dean:

That Jessica Williams record was made at a home across campus from where I sit. I've attended one concert there, Myra Melford & Satoko Fujii in duet. Pretty stunning. See photos here: http://www.berkeleyside.com/2012/04/20/landmark-bernard-maybeck-home-lists-for-sale-in-berkeley/

THE GEMINID METEOR SHOWER: Tonight, Earth will pass through a stream of gravelly debris from rock comet 3200 Phaethon, source of the annual Geminid
meteor shower. Sky watchers far from city lights could see dozens of meteors
per hour. The best time to look, no matter where you live, is during the
dark hours before sunrise on Thursday, Dec. 14th, when the constellation
Gemini is high overhead. There's more: As the shower peaks, Jupiter and the
crescent Moon will be having a close encounter in the eastern pre-dawn sky.
