Neither north nor south, but midtown. Hello, David and all.
Avatar 4:06pm Sem Chumbo:

Hello, and good evening, David. NGH, Dr. J, howdy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:06pm Webhamster Henry:

When you have the time, and if you are still in a northern mood, there's Glenn Gould's The Idea of North:
Avatar 4:07pm northguineahills:

or... north, from appalachia (neither north nor south) that moved to the south, then to the far east, back to the south then to the north, and now finally back south again.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:08pm Webhamster Henry:

Take Off! To the Great White North!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:09pm David D:

Greetings doctorjazz, Parq, Sem, Henry!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:18pm doctorjazz:

Yay for Diz Birthday! Happy to hear some more Diz bebop!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:20pm David D:

NGH: I might need to consult you on planning more complex routes!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:23pm Parq:

Good job passing the fundraiser halfway mark, David. Any plans to come to the US for the Marathon fundraiser next year?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:26pm David D:

Thanks, Parq! And funny you should ask, it has in fact been an idea I've been exploring.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:38pm doctorjazz:

Passed the half way mark, guess that's good (it is 24 days into the month). Boy, the Spring Marathon went so much better.
Avatar 4:44pm northguineahills:

My favorite Basque musician is Mattin.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:49pm David D:

Doc: Yes, we're still at 42% overall - have some catching up to do!
Avatar 4:53pm northguineahills:

I shall be able to do some more heavy lifting come March. Still establishing myself. Excited to get a bunch of dj premiums (and tees)

Grillin' Willie rocks, and makes me want to break out my grill and have a veggie-Q! (and I'm technically an omnivore)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:30pm redkayak:

Yes, indeed >>> what @NGH said......
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:31pm David D:

Veggiewurst for everyone!
Avatar 5:36pm northguineahills:

Outside of ELO and the Dizzy set, this is all new to me!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:38pm doctorjazz:

Very cool stuff!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:41pm David D:

Thanks guys! And glad to hear it, NGH, that is what I love about listening to all the stuff on the stream and station - always hearing new things.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:50pm Parq:

David D @ 4:26 -- oh, your fans among the volunteers would surely like to meet you in person! Past visits by remote air personalities (Kevin N., Uncle Michael, Vicky, Hearty) have been great occasions.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:50pm doctorjazz:

this Up North track is right up my alley!
Got to head up north (and a bit west) meself soon...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:55pm David D:

Thanks, Parq! It is beginning to look like a good possibility in fact.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:56pm David D:

And thanks Doc for heading north here as well. Do you actually have a long commute?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:56pm Parq:

There's a guy in Scotland -- Tom, I think his name is -- who takes a two week vacation every year and basically lives at the marathon.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:57pm David D:

Well once you make the long journey, it would make sense to make the most of it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:01pm doctorjazz:

Depends on Traffic in the NY area-when I come here on Saturday mornings, it's about 35 minutes. Most days it's 50 minutes to an hour. Kinda long, I know of longer ones.
Thanks David, maybe catch you in the car.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:02pm David D:

Thanks for listening and have a safe drive!
Avatar 6:20pm northguineahills:

It's a lovely 24C/74F here in FL, finally getting some winter weather! (I have the doors of the office open!)
Avatar 6:22pm still b/p:

Gators and those invasive pythons WILL find an open door.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:26pm Parq:

Invasive Pythons would be a good name for a band. Just saying.
Avatar 6:28pm northguineahills:

Plenty of Gators in Gainesville (the state highway that goes through Paynes Prairie State Park is still closed due to flooding from Irma, and the Gators love the shallow water on the road), you have to go further south to where my study areas are in the Everglades to find the pythons). Any body of water a hectare or larger will have multiple gators. Even some small sinkholes have some. (thankfully, it's too cold for the mosquito's right now, they need more warmth then the ones up north).
Avatar 6:30pm still b/p:

@ Parq - there was Reptilian Mission of Burma, right...?
  6:31pm Dean:

Saw this book on display in the library yesterday, @northguineahills: http://www.upenn.edu/pennpress/book/15716.html

Wish I had time to read it. Looks fascinating.
Avatar 6:34pm northguineahills:

Que chido! I got to get that for my company's library, Dean, thanks!
  6:34pm Dean:

Oh, cool! Yeah, I guess that's right up your firm's alley.
  6:35pm Doctorjazz:

Ahhh... (pulled over to post)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:39pm David D:

There have been recent wolf sightings in this part of the world, and a great deal of controversy involving the issue.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:41pm Parq:

We've had a couple of coyotes make it into Manhattan. The jokes write themselves.
Avatar 6:45pm geezerette:

Late hello, David D. & all.
Loving this wonderful Gillespie set!!!
Avatar 6:46pm northguineahills:

It's more into how geography shaped the settlement patterns, but closely enough related. It look pricey, but my boss has a University library card, and it should be there until we purchase one (we have other not strictly related books in our library (a quarter of our company library is at my home)

I saw a coyote roadkill this week. 20 years ago, there were no coyotes this far south.

Manteca was the first Dizzy LP I got.

Thanks David and everyone, I need to leave in a few minutes!
Avatar 6:46pm geezerette:

SWINGS so hard.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:47pm David D:

Hello geezerette - yes it does!
