Go Scotty!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:52am jkeigh:

I used to get up late for school all the time because I stayed up to watch CH. 11 from 11-1:30 at night play the Odd Couple followed by the Honeymooners then Star Trek and finally the Twilight Zone. Those shows are ingrained in my brain.
Avatar 3:57am Number Six:

Back when Star Trek used to be good...

Avatar 4:28am Number Six:

Is anyone else listening on 91.1? I've been getting intermittent interference from another station since early Friday.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:30am jkeigh:

Only in my car Number Six. I only get interference when I drive a few miles west into Roxbury. Wharton is fine unless I'm under a lot of power lines
Avatar 4:35am CarolCrow:

Hey Number Six, what town(s) are you listening from?
Avatar 4:35am Number Six:

I'm at home near Rahway. The last time I got something like this a pirate started up in Linden.
Avatar 4:37am Jay/London:

good morning Carol and all
Avatar 4:39am CarolCrow:

@ Number Six: Huh. Sorry about that. I will let everyone here know. Hopefully it can be rectified soon. Thanks for letting me know.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:11am annie:

yes, been up half an hour or so... had to get the coffee hot... and this pop-up just does not work, so i'm using tune-in, such a handy thing
Avatar 5:13am Pen:

wow this shadowy mouth whispering with drums is cool
Avatar 5:16am CarolCrow:

@ annie: yes...very handy :)
Avatar 5:16am CarolCrow:

@Pen: agreed:)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:17am annie:

i have to get down to why the pop-up is obstinate..
  5:22am Other Chris:

Thank you for this show, Carol. It has been quite helpful in getting through a stressful night shift.
Avatar 5:24am CarolCrow:

Hey Other Chris: I am so happy to help! Thank you for listening :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:30am Mr. Pumpy:

annie...if you use iTunes, go to the 'Advanced' tab and click on the first item, 'open stream'. Then all you need to do is past this bad-boy in: stream0.wfmu.org...
Avatar 5:31am Pen:

space static take me away
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:31am Mr. Pumpy:

I have a playlist called 'Radio' with all of my favorite channels steaming via this method. Provided the channel has a URL as such, which WFMU does. This, coffee, and Bluetooth headphones...and I'm in heaven.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:45am annie:

thanks for the tip, mr pumpy. i once used itunes for radio, long ago, it was very handy. when they upgraded to a new system i dropped them and never looked back. i loved using winamp, it was my favorite player... i really miss it. now i'm satisfied with tunein.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:46am jkeigh:

winamp still exists Annie. That's what I'm using now
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:49am annie:

oh, not for mac....i've tried
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:49am annie:

unless theu've added a player for mac..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:50am jkeigh:

Sorry, I live in a PC world. I forget sometimes....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:52am annie:

it's ok... i was very disappointed with the change, i did take a few weeks trying to use back doors and such to access it... it's just not mac-friendly, very likely due to the itunes strength.. i was able to move files with ease, but it just hated when i installed directly.. froze up, wouldn't load.. you know,... damn apple...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:55am annie:

so glad i could catch the show this morning carol!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:56am jkeigh:

I always hear MAC users constant praise so it's refreshing to hear a little criticism now and then. Especially with all of the PC issues that are out there.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:56am jkeigh:

Anyhow. thanks for a great show Carol. TIme to go to work (which is uncommon for me on a Saturday)
Avatar 5:56am Number Six:

Thanks for another great, if all too brief show, Carol! Catch you next week! :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:57am Mr. Pumpy:

annie - I never went past iTunes 10 for similar reasons. My laptop shit the bed recently and I had to get a new one and find the old version of iTunes I had been using. I’m running version 10.7 and it is great. Here is a link to download all sorts of old versions of iTunes. That is where I found my download. I managed to salvage my music and iTunes library file and everything came back up exactly the same on my new computer after a few easy steps. www.oldapps.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:57am Ken From Hyde Park:

Thanks for the jams this morning, Carol. Have a nice week.
Avatar 5:57am Pen:

yeah that was really great. sad that it's over. thanks Carol.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:57am Mr. Pumpy:

I always deny the periodic iTunes upgrade as I can't stand the changes.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:59am annie:

mac is fine, it's OS is superior to pcs, but the music thing is the stickler.. and i've tried other players, too.. apple just hogs the system. yes!!! i would deny access for the intunes upgrade, too.. but... then.. i've had a couple crap-outs so when i bought the next system, it was already installed, i gave up my attachement to control over that.. i had to..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:02am Mr. Pumpy:

You can uninstall and put in an older version. I have Mac and PC both. I like Apple products, but they are insidious with their software products. It is infuriating.
Avatar 6:07am CarolCrow:

Thanks everyone for listening! Much gratitude to you all:) Have a great week!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:09am Mr. Pumpy:

You too!
