What a great Cat Stevens song.
  12:14pm frenchee:

what are these tears doing rolling down my face? Changin' day to day indeed
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:14pm Fox:

Hello beautiful radio people.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:15pm MD:

  12:15pm frenchee:

nowadays I mostly think of Wes Anderson films when I hear Cat Stevens
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:15pm doctorjazz:

The rehab of Cat!
  12:16pm melinda:

Cat rehab, haha
  12:17pm Websie:

That's because W.A. saw HAROLD & MAUDE, frenchee.
  12:18pm melinda:

@frenchee for me it depends on the song
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:19pm Krys O.:

Panda Bear!!!! Thanks, Pseu.
Avatar 12:19pm themutante:

Panda Bear, very nice!
  12:20pm frenchee:

@Websie, so did I! But I've watched the Anderson films more recently.
  12:21pm Websie:

Noel Harrison was an Olympic skier, who knew?
Avatar 12:23pm Pseu Braun:

hey Websie! and ALL!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:24pm Parq:

From Cat to Panda -- dig it! Does anyone else find Panda Bear reminiscent of Brian Wilson?
  12:26pm melinda:

@parq now that you mention it I hear a similarity in some of the instrumentation
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:27pm Parq:

Melinda, the vocal mix too, no?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:27pm Krys O.:

Panda Bear is Beach Boys via The Godz
  12:33pm Stevel:

Hooked again!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:36pm Tome:

nice you back Pseu ! "breath of fresh air" once again....
Avatar 12:37pm PsychopathJimFields:

Hello Pseu Braun!!!
I got all excited when I heard Pure and Easy. Haven't heard that one in ages!
  12:38pm melinda:

@parq yeah that too
Avatar 12:42pm V Priceless:

heya Pseu!
Avatar 12:48pm rbrt:

perfect playlist formatting
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:48pm Kat in Chicago:

Oh yes, when Linda Rondstadt went new wave for a minute. I had this LP.
  12:49pm Will:

Pseu has what I call "The Joe McGasko Touch" because anything she plays sounds good even if you thought you didn't like it!
Avatar 12:51pm Pseu Braun:

uhm, Will I'd reverse that analogy, no offense to Joe.
Avatar 12:51pm spodiodi:

Rock n Roll
  12:56pm Dennis Diken:

diggin' the show Pseu!
Avatar 12:58pm Pseu Braun:

hey Dennis!
Avatar 12:58pm V Priceless:

@ DD - thanx for posting the link to that Association track 'Autumn Afternoon' the other day - never heard that one before! Very cool!
  1:00pm Dennis Diken:

V - yeah, super great track, ainnit?
  1:03pm The Slugger:

You've already made a big improvement on this work day. Nice Manfred Mann.
  1:05pm LaVa LaTweme:

Avatar 1:07pm V Priceless:

@DD: makes me wonder how much other unreleased Association material Warner Bros. has sitting in their vaults. I always suspected, at the very least, there's got to be another live recording collecting dust somewhere...
  1:09pm frenchee:

this Photon Band is very mellow/cool
I thought at first it might be IRA THE K singing but Internetz tells me no. also the AWWRIGHT doesn't sound Kaplanish
Avatar 1:10pm northguineahills:

I had the same thoughts, frenchee.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:11pm doctorjazz:

This Somersault track has a bit of the feel of The Who, rubbery rhythm.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:12pm doctorjazz:

Listen to the drummer...
  1:12pm frenchee:

Pseu leads us happy hookers on a magical mystery tour.....
  1:15pm Dennis Diken:

V - I'm thinking Now Sounds is scraping the vaults pretty well. is their entire Monterey Pop set released? I saw one tune and it was fabulous. they totally rule!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:15pm doctorjazz:

This Major Labels track is very cool...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:16pm doctorjazz:

(don't see it on Amazon or anywhere else in a quick Google search.)
Avatar 1:16pm James in ATL:

Great set Pseu! So happy you are here in this time slot!
Avatar 1:20pm Pseu Braun:

thnxx james!
  1:21pm Tamar:

Pseu, it's great to have you back!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:22pm Krys O.:

Ditto! Perfect for office listening.
  1:22pm Earthling:

great track, but artist - track combo is completely ungooglable
  1:25pm Earthling:

..too many people googling for how to be constantly eternally happy
Avatar 1:25pm cee:

link to video please!
Avatar 1:26pm V Priceless:

@ DD - I wonder if the entire Monterey Pop set exists - either in Pennebaker's vaults or elsewhere - yeah, that lone version of 'Along Comes Mary' with Brian doing the 'Association machine' rap is fabulous - I'm sure their set must have been fierce - kicking-off the festival with 'Enter The Young', no less! How can that not have been recorded in some capacity?
Avatar 1:27pm Roberto:

I used to play golf with Bill Macy. Assuming you're talking about 95-year-old Bill Macy of Maude fame.
  1:29pm melinda:

Maybe Bill is insecure about his pronunciation
  1:29pm Earthling:

Thanks Pseu, google auto-corrected happyness to happiness

Avatar 1:31pm Jeff:

Famous? I could get famous just by typing in this little box?

I never knew it was that easy.
  1:31pm melinda:

My dad likes to pronounce Ronstadt the German way.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:32pm fleep:

Human fondue.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:33pm Krys O.:

My dad used melted paraffin on his hands for his RA. Sounds soothing.
  1:34pm melinda:

A good marathon premium might be little tins of WFMU hand salve, with a signature scent.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:34pm (Murakami Whywolf))):

Now everybody says the New Wave is super
Just ask Linda Ronstadt or even Alice Cooper
---"Still Billy Joel to Me", "Weird" Al Yankivic.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:36pm (((Murakami Whywolf):

'Hand' salve...just the thing for onanistic shut-ins.

  1:39pm Mike tp:

just woke will connect on archive!!!and really glad you're delivering great music Pseu!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:41pm (((Murakami Whywolf):

'There's an old spinning wheel in the parlour'

His rendition of that was effectively sad...especially now I'm older than he was when he sang it on "Maude".
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:41pm Kat in Chicago:

Scott Miller...
Avatar 1:42pm Wild Neil:

I think I saw a Who at Woodstock "import" one time back in the 80's....

Heya Pseu and The Hooked. Is this the same Julie Driscoll who became Julie Tippett and was part of Brian Auger Trinity?
Avatar 1:50pm geezerette:

  1:57pm Schnipp:

Thank you for this set Pseu! I had to Shazam every song the moment I heard it. Power pop for the recently divorced. Hahahaha. God bless FMU!

what a great song
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:03pm KevinfromBayRidge:

Hey Pseu & Hookers. Okay, I'm here to cash in my Fame token. Do I get 15 mins? Fab show, young lady!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:05pm Nate K.:

I genuinely think the Rentals are on of the more overrated bands of their era.
  2:12pm The Slugger:

Outstanding set. Haven't heard the Shoes in a long time. Awesome
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:16pm Michael 98145:

Heh. -The Tenure Itch- for all you academics starting Fall Quarters.
  2:17pm Jim H in ATL:

'The Tenure Itch' — one of my all-time favorite songs. Pseu, you're the best!
  2:19pm Santos L Halper:

Ahh, the Return of the Hook, finally. Will be looking forward to Pseusdays, catching what hooks I can while at work.

Avatar 2:44pm geezerette:

Avatar 2:49pm Cheyenne:

I used to confuse the Rentals, the Replacements, and the Residents for years.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:49pm Michael 98145:

Avatar 2:50pm Jeff:

Jeez, is "My Girl Forever" a kinda creepy ditty about LDS celestial marriage?
Avatar 2:50pm geezerette:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:51pm Michael 98145:

so -that- is what the dudes in the white shirts are looking for ?!?
Avatar 2:53pm geezerette:

That is one of the beliefs. Really!
Avatar 2:53pm Jeff:

When you played "Friends of P", my mind did one of those memory flips where I was suddenly realizing that a song I'd completely forgotten ever existed was really familiar and I could hum along.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:54pm Michael 98145:

billboard points !!
Avatar 2:55pm Jeff:

So this is what Rihanna sounds like!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:55pm Kat in Chicago:

@Jeff if we hear "My Girl Forever" on Micah's show later today, the answer is yes
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:55pm doctorjazz:

Hey Geez!
Show almost over, thanks Pseu, enjoyed it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:56pm Tardigrade:

@Jeff, that happens to me every time I walk out of a grocery store. I usually don't even realize i heard the song til I question why the hell I'm singing it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:57pm rsj:

i hope it's a bieb mashup
Avatar 2:57pm Jeff:

@Kat: Ha! I think he usually goes with smaller sects, though.
Avatar 2:57pm V Priceless:

thanx Pseu!
Avatar 2:58pm Polyus:

I was watching tv with my 89 year old mother last year, when a news story on her came on. I said "Oh there's that naughty Rihanna". My mom said "she is naughty, isn't she? such a cute gal though." I was stunned she even knew who that was, but she was also pretty excited about Beyonce having twins.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:58pm rsj:

wait, no bieber?
Avatar 2:59pm geezerette:

Pseu! Thanks!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:59pm chris:

Pthanks Pseu!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:59pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Anyone been monitoring Bieber's social media accounts? Has he posted selfies with the billboard? Thanks, Pseu!
