Amen, my friend!
Avatar 12:09am

Hello all, just came home from a Chris Forsyth show where I met up with a friend I hadn't seen in person in like 15 years! She was in town to see her friend who is singing in Dire Wolves now. I missed their set though.

Hey Elf, long time, no see
Avatar 12:21am

The Dire Wolf folks were cool as hell to meet though...they said their best show on the tour was the Brooklyn one.

the Canterbury wood-elf:

Avatar 12:26am

a '72 Birdsong... bliss : )
Avatar 12:26am
Jeff Conklin:

Awesome, Elf, hope youre well.

The Dire set the other night was indeed outstanding, totally different band then when i saw them the first time years ago, nice to meet them
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:32am

Love hearing the Dead this early in the set!

Much of life is impossible to recover from the ravages of time but thankfully WFMU programs do not suffer such a fate. Hi, J Dream.

** glad to see I'm not the only Elf in here this evening...

I'm listening to your show quietly in the dark while I put my kids to bed and I'm thinking "Man, this is getting zoned out..." then I realize it's Raising Holy Sparks :)

Thank you!
Clint in Reno:

Sounding good out here in the high desert.
Avatar 1:23am
Jeff Conklin:

I need to go back to the desert
Avatar 1:27am

I got this album from hearing it on this show, thanks for putting it out @Eiderdown! I've been listening to it a lot lately.

Thanks for the support Adam! Glad yer digging it...so much to digest but so worth the time. Sounds great on the radio too :)

Turns out you CAN get a massage over the 'net : )

Because of this "chill out zoner" portion of the Avant Ghetto, my kids are now asleep. Thank you Sir Jeff!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:49am

Hello.. I fell asleep at noon and just woke up.. WTF?? Well lighting a Fat J and enjoying music now. Will I be up until Wake and Bake hours. Shrugs. Hello Thanks for the music Jeff. Enjoying it a ton.

thanks for the cosmic sounds, Jeff
peace, all
Mark R:

Maybe I wasn't paying close enough commentary, but didn't Neil record "I Don't Want to Talk About It," too?

I was gonna say this would of been a great song for Neil to sing with them
b k:

Was this before or after Rod Stewarts' version of"I Don't Want To Talk About It"?
Avatar 2:12am

Danny from Crazy Horse wrote that song!
Mark R:

I was just googling this, b k--Rod's was after.
Avatar 2:13am

That Crazy Horse s/t album is great all the way through, it is so good.
Mark R:

It was the A-side of a single with "The First Cut Is the Deepest" on the B-side.
b k:

Both songs on that single are great, a good deal back when 45's were 99 cents!
Mark R:

"I Don't Want to Talk About It" was included as a bonus track on the reissue of "Atlantic Crossing." "First Cut" was on the album "A Night on the Town."
Avatar 2:48am

I want to call all this music "downer dad rock"
Avatar 2:49am
Jeff Conklin:

Faster to turn off the radio than type out such a comment isn't it?
Avatar 2:50am

Naw. I like it.
Avatar 2:55am

Rather than blasting CCR or Bob Seger. Perfect for the hours
Avatar 2:57am
Jeff Conklin:

Thanks for tuning in, all. Have a great week.

Another great show. I agree that the Crazy Horse LPs are up and down, but "Look at All the Things" is also a great song.
