A sonic collage both unpredictable and fluid. Think cosmic synth, heavy acid rock psych, international pop, and the latest in experimental bedroom projects.

Good Morning, Zoe, coelacanth∅ & Number Six (who I presume is not a number but a Human Being)
Avatar Sun. 9/17/17 3:27am greyscale:

greetings Zoe and fellow Z-B'sters! Happy New Time slot!
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sun. 9/17/17 3:27am Stanley:

Just my luck, just in time for Yoko
Avatar Swag For Life Member Sun. 9/17/17 3:31am coelacanth∅:

well, i'm number 3,533,967,742 - and i thought i was old...
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sun. 9/17/17 3:36am Stanley:

Come in number 3,533,967,742. Your time is up.
Avatar Sun. 9/17/17 3:37am Number Six:

I'm not a number! I'm a free man!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Sun. 9/17/17 3:40am coelacanth∅:

oh, darn...me and my bi-ig mouth.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Sun. 9/17/17 3:46am coelacanth∅:

if i were driving in my car right now, which is commonly what's happening at this time of a sunday, i pretty definitely would be listening to wfmu; but wouldn't be able to call you to tell you i'm driving in my car, and listening to wfmu.
Avatar Sun. 9/17/17 3:54am Switchblade Batman:

OMG, I remember that movie
Avatar Sun. 9/17/17 3:56am Number Six:

@Stanley: a friend of mine used to run the Forbidden Planet store in NYC. Yoko was one of his regular customers.
Avatar Sun. 9/17/17 4:03am dfb:

hey just want to say im here and digging the tunes
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sun. 9/17/17 4:13am Stanley:

@Number Six: I have to admit I'm not a big fan of Yoko. In some ways she represents a side of New York arts culture I'm not comfortable with but I let her be, though (and go make a cup of tea when she comes on).
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sun. 9/17/17 4:17am Stanley:

Oh, and then there's all that schreeching.
Avatar Sun. 9/17/17 4:24am dfb:

i like her, yoko screaming part - i have big issues with the fluxus art movement
. it reeks of shoddy and lazy thinking
Avatar Sun. 9/17/17 4:26am dfb:

btw the patrick cowley number rocks
Avatar Sun. 9/17/17 4:27am Number Six:

@Stanley: Agreed! If she hadn't married Lennon I doubt she would even be a footnote in musical history.
Avatar Sun. 9/17/17 4:27am greyscale:

yea... I'm liking this Patrick Cowley track, too...
Avatar Sun. 9/17/17 4:29am Number Six:

Def YES on the Cowley!
Avatar Sun. 9/17/17 4:30am greyscale:

Let's not forget that John Lennon married Yoko Ono too... She came at a particularly dark time in his life and gave him inspiration to continue making/experimenting with music....
  Sun. 9/17/17 4:34am fifti:

cheers from Warsaw, Poland. great radio!
Avatar Sun. 9/17/17 4:37am dfb:

not a lennon fan so her marrying him is meaningless to me -- some of her yelling and screaming is totally find --it the concept behind her concepts i find generally weak-- very new york art scene like -- light lifting
Avatar Sun. 9/17/17 4:38am Number Six:

@greyscale: true.
Avatar Sun. 9/17/17 4:40am greyscale:

that Peak tune sounded like slo-mo tangerine dream.... Tangerine Dream/Vape
Avatar Sun. 9/17/17 4:45am Number Six:

Okay. TD ! I have been appeased!
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sun. 9/17/17 4:46am Stanley:

(Back after a bit of breakfast)
WFMU is such a broad church, I'm happy, especially this sunday morning. Great show, Zoe.
Avatar Sun. 9/17/17 4:58am greyscale:

This "Time Actor" is very timely at this time...
Sun. 9/17/17 5:03am goyim in the am:

Oh man -- you can sing "Last Christmas" over this perfectly.
Avatar Sun. 9/17/17 5:05am Number Six:

@dfb: what I meant was that I don't think Yoko would have gotten anywhere near the level of exposure if not for Lennon and would not have had the lengthy career that she's had.
  Sun. 9/17/17 5:08am geoff mcq:

I like this music. Makes me wanna find a nice girl and go on a killin spree.
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sun. 9/17/17 5:10am fred:

Good morning Zoe and listeners
Avatar Sun. 9/17/17 5:11am dfb:

@six -- could be --- i'm more (or less) interested in her art-- why one would want to be in the same room as a beatle is mystery to me. they dont strike me as bright boys
Avatar Sun. 9/17/17 5:12am greyscale:

ha! "Good Vibrations" from the "Badlands"
Avatar Sun. 9/17/17 5:12am dfb:

Avatar Sun. 9/17/17 5:12am greyscale:

I bet Genesis knows all about that....
Avatar Sun. 9/17/17 5:24am greyscale:

@dfb... I agree with you in regards to fluxus being visually (at best) Dada Light... However, I think that many of the musicians that were loosely affiliated with them did make some major music... I'm thinking mainly of people like Tony Conrad, Henry Flynt, and Yoko Ono.
Avatar Sun. 9/17/17 5:27am dfb:

@grey - i did try to say i like her singing. sorry if i'm unclear - i get like this on sunday morning

Zoe, I had heard a little of your show in its previous slot, but I was too busy to pay as much attention. I really like what you're doing, this show goes all over the place in the best way possible
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sun. 9/17/17 5:56am Ken From Hyde Park:

Thanks for running this new time slot, Zoe. This is good music for an early Sunday.
