Hey Joe! I'm being an obnoxious #@@hole today and promoting my favorite Youtube band/phenomena to all the WFMU DJs/commentators... they're called Univore, a duo out of Chicago. Their most famous song is "Champagne Taste" but I like Angela, Indulgences, Vendetta, Ghost of Me, Scorpions & Brazil, I've been trying to run into you, & electric car I've been trying to run into you... but pretty much everything they do is good. A lot of their videos rely heavily on visuals tho. Anyway... check em' at your leisure or don't, out & pat yourself on the back you are a true Armenian Hero... WFMU is a rock and it always rocks this rock that we call home... dig your playlist so far!

good work engineering people
Avatar 1:06pm Todd-o-phonic Todd:

Hahaha. Yeah, the version that Lowe and Edmunds did solo at the time of the Everly Brothers covers is superior to this one IMO.
Avatar 1:07pm Todd-o-phonic Todd:

You decide: www.youtube.com...
  1:07pm Amy:

Todd, what's the asterisk for?
Avatar 1:09pm Todd-o-phonic Todd:

@Amy: Me and Joe attended a show earlier this summer that purported to be the 50th Anniversary of Tommy James and The Shondells but they started playing together in 1960 and started using The Shondells moniker in '64. So the math did not add up under any circumstance.
  1:16pm Barack Mugwump:

Me and Joe? Try Joe and I.
  1:17pm Bill in W.O.:

Nice set, Joe. Sad to hear DE is retiring, but what a body of work. Sadly, only saw him once, solo with no band, but still great.
1:17pm David in ATL from NJ:

Thanks for the Dave Edmunds tribute, Joe. A talent for sure.

I was lucky enough to see the Dave Edmunds Rock and Roll Review from I don't know when.

Avatar 1:25pm Hoboken Jack:

Hello Joe, TOPT, Dennis, Charlie are you out there?? First chance to check in but fantastic show!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:26pm Carmichael:

According to the always-reliable internet, James starting using the Shondells name in 1960. They immediately broke up, and he made a new Shondells in 67. Maybe that's the claim.
  1:26pm Tim 07030:

Hi Joe! Sorry I can't make it for the party Saturday, but one can't turn down a chance to go camping with the Mekons! I shall raise a few pints to you from afar.

  2:10pm Bill in W.O.:

@medson yup. I just identify the date with the song, the upcoming TCM party is July 29, away my mind went. Poor Marie.
  2:12pm medson:

@Bill in WO I thought you were circling back to Dave Edmunds. Either way good reference :)
  2:16pm Bill in W.O.:

@Amy, solid, under-recognized record for some reason. But not today! A follow-up is in overdue order. And I'll shaddup now.
  2:25pm Amy:
