Avatar 6:05am Brian in UK:

Hey Annie how is the bicycle working out?
Avatar 6:06am Bill Mac:

Hey all! Yep the dirt track is a trademark of the Drummer Stream I'm afraid. Mr Davison is out today, back next week I believe
  6:07am desnog:

I miss the old Zzzzzzero Hour in the slot before this one, I have to admit.
Avatar 6:07am Tidepoolbay:

Moondog! I have this album!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:08am annie:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:08am Stanley:

By the power of teleportation, I'm now here in the more sedate surroundings of the studio stream. Hey Bill and all.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:09am Stanley:

Brian, end of an earole?
Avatar 6:10am Bill Mac:

@desnog I do - sometimes. Trying to sleep on Friday night is impossible most of the time and I do like Saturday mornings now.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:15am Guido from Cologne:

Good morning Bill!
Welcome back to Saturday!
Avatar 6:19am Bill Mac:

Hey all, did I just wake up from a two year snooze?
Happy Saturday! Happy belated Bastille Day!
Avatar 6:20am Howard F:

Good morning friends
Avatar 6:22am Bill Mac:

Hi Howard!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:24am Stanley:

Nice easy going start, Bill. Suits my mood this morning.
Avatar 6:26am Bill Mac:

Jeffrey sent me a Saturday morning vibe. I can't do his show though...
Avatar 6:30am Howard F:

Is this Fripp on guitar? Has a Frippian vibe. Cool, at any rate.
Avatar 6:31am Bill Mac:

No, someone names Hans Ruedinger Pukke
Avatar 6:32am Howard F:

Ah, thanks.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:37am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Monster Zzzzzero ! Good times.
Avatar 6:37am dale:

dug that rod mckuen
Avatar 6:39am Brian in UK:

Karen Carpenter had a lovely if unsentimental voice.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:40am Stanley:

I've got a bit of a shrunken head, this morning.
Avatar 6:43am Brian in UK:

Bill I guess there is no chance of MacArthur Park by Richard Harris appearing today.
Avatar 6:47am Bill Mac:

Avatar 6:48am Tidepoolbay:

Richard Harris! Yes!
Avatar 6:48am Brian in UK:

Love you. I'm sixteen again.
Avatar 6:48am Bill Mac:

You guys crack me up.
Avatar 6:48am duke:

This cake is all soggy
Avatar 6:49am Tidepoolbay:

Soggy Tears of joy!
Avatar 6:49am Bill Mac:

I was wondering if this song is about your current retirement.
  6:49am V Priceless:

Great! Heya Bill
Avatar 6:50am Tidepoolbay:

Oh I have this album too!
Avatar 6:50am Brian in UK:

Going to the swimming pool in the summer.

Maybe, Bill. Soggy cake day tomorrow.
Avatar 6:50am Bill Mac:

VP! I can go to the Post Office now!
Avatar 6:52am Brian in UK:

Francis Bebey's Pygmy Love Song is a belter too.
Avatar 6:52am Bill Mac:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:52am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...oh what a tangled JimmyWebb we weave...
  6:53am V Priceless:

ha! And make a sandwich! Can only imagine what The Association would have done with this!
Avatar 6:53am Bill Mac:

Funny, this song has been crossing paths with me over the last couple months
Avatar 6:54am Bill Mac:

I seem to remember SCTV doing a spoof on this when it was on.
Avatar 6:55am dale:

richard harris makes me think of camelot which makes me think of vanessa redgrave which is good.
Avatar 6:55am Tidepoolbay:

Second City Television!
Avatar 6:55am duke:

SCTV Macarthur Park
Avatar 6:55am Brian in UK:

You've made an old man happy, Bill!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:55am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...Association is a great association...
Avatar 6:56am Bill Mac:

Thanks Duke!
@Brian Apparently I made a lot of old men happy
Avatar 6:57am Tidepoolbay:

Thanks Duke!
  6:59am V Priceless:

Webb wrote it for them, but they bailed because it was too long and they didn't want to battle over which band members tunes would have to be sacrificed in order to fit it on the LP. I guess no one considered double LPs in '68!
Avatar 7:01am Bill Mac:

Gilbert Gottfried had Jimmy Webb on his podcsat a few month back. Of course Jimmy had to duet with Gilbert.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:02am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Way kewl VP!...'making a lot of old men happy' tho' - not associations I wanna make...
Avatar 7:08am Bill Mac:

Nah.... I'll go stand in the corner now...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:13am Guido from Cologne:

... hahahaha ....
Heino + Petula (singing German) .
Anothe masterwork from Vicki!
Avatar 7:16am Bill Mac:

I didn't realize that was Heino!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:17am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Happy 70th to the incomparable Roky Erickson.
Avatar 7:18am Bill Mac:

Wow today?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:18am Guido from Cologne:

Comment on Can's "Turtles"-track at DISCOGS:

WARNING: Do NOT listen to "Turtles Have Short Legs" in your car at anything near high volume, if you are driving at highway speed. The irresistible rhythms will overcome your self-control. Your head will start thrashing back and forth as if it had a mind of its own; your body will flail around like a marionette on strings; and you will find yourself shouting "AND WE GO MARCHING ON!!!" over and over again at the top of your lungs... all while you're sitting behind the wheel and working the pedals. This will cause your car to jerk back and forth and swerve around unpredictably in close proximity to other vehicles. How do we know this? Don't ask.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:19am Guido from Cologne:

Heino "Bier Bier Bier" :
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:20am Guido from Cologne:

Downtown in German by Petula:
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:21am Guido from Cologne:

"Tears Are Going Home":
IMHO the only track one really needs by LAVA.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:23am Guido from Cologne:

Roky Erickson:
"in doubt consult your dealer."
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:29am Stanley:

I'm back. And just in time for the calypso slot.
Avatar 7:30am Bill Mac:

On cue! I can picture you mamboing into the study...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:31am Stanley:

Bahamian grooves. Nice.
Do you have 'Burma Road' by Ronnie Butler, by chance?
Some Joseph Spence is always welcome.
(Drat, missed my chance)
Avatar 7:45am Brian in UK:

Stanley, sounds good maybe some steel pans. Robert Greenidge (good Trinidadian name) or Winston Spree.
Avatar 7:46am Brian in UK:

Whatever happened to Professor Membrane?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:49am Stanley:

I love 'Burma Road', towards the end the song degenerates into a list of foods he loves to eat. Joseph Spence was a big fan of chinese food.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:51am Stanley:

I believe he's still doing the usual seperation and filtration service.
Avatar 7:53am Brian in UK:

A thankless task. Thanks Prof.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:54am Stanley:

Oh no Yoko!
She's getting an inordinate amount of airplay, recently.
(I'll leave the room before the weird screaming starts)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:56am Stanley:

Haha Joseph, doing his best, as always.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:57am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...werid screaming - is that any way to behave @ a Rawk'n'Roll concert...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:58am Stanley:

Lovely, thanks Bill.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:59am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...not to say werid spelling...
Always great fun - whenever the Zzzero Hour falls.
Avatar 8:04am Bill Mac:

Can't do it without you all
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:07am Ken From Hyde Park:

Good morning, Bill. Thanks for steering the planet today. Do you prefer coffee, tea or maybe covfefe?
Avatar 8:08am Bill Mac:

One sip and you don't have to account for anything!
Avatar 8:08am Brian in UK:

That last song sounded like it was trying to burst into a Flamin' Groovies toon.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:20am Guido from Cologne:

"Mr. Lucky" used to be one of Frank O'Toole's bed musics.
So i was afraid the mike wasn't up while the deejay is talking.
Avatar 8:21am Bill Mac:

I felt the urge to talk over it but I fought it
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:22am Guido from Cologne:

... hahahaha ...

"Milk Cow Blues" ripped off by The Chocolate Watch Band as "Don't Need Your Lovin'" single.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:26am Stanley:

I think this is the album Sheila B had something to do with.
Avatar 8:27am Bill Mac:

Very good... she gets a co-credit for comp & notes
Avatar 8:30am Brian in UK:

Bill, this is like a time warp. Got to cut out and take Spencer to the woods. People coming to look at the house. It has never been cleaner. Do not know if I can keep this up.
Try and catch you on the Underground on Tuesday.
Avatar 8:33am Brian in UK:

Did you say a piece of cake. Not soggy. Off.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:34am Stanley:

Bye Brian
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:38am Stanley:

Although I love the idea of Bob Marley being in the title, it's actually 'Marylebone', in West London. Now very affluent, then a bit sleazy and cheap.
  8:39am KP:

Oops. Forgot to set alarm
Avatar 8:40am Bill Mac:

Heyo KP!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:41am Guido from Cologne:

one of one of the best single flip sides ever!
I would die for getting more of the jamming in the fade-out!
  8:41am V Priceless:

Softs! Missing Ayers here
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:48am Stanley:

The Ace label is cleaning up today.
Avatar 8:49am Bill Mac:

I'm telling you! Great stuff from them
  8:49am melinda:

Avatar 8:50am Bill Mac:

Hi Mel! just in time!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:51am Stanley:

This Wolf is damn fine.
  8:52am melinda:

I have difficulty tuning in early.
Avatar 8:56am Bill Mac:

I don't blame you! Hey folks this is it! I'll see you on Tuesday with any amount of luck! Enjoy the weekend!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:56am Stanley:

Tom Jones there, one from his atheist period.
  8:57am V Priceless:

Thanks Bill! Fun show!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:57am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

What's true, pussycat?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:58am Stanley:

Yikes, nearly two in the afternoon and I'm still not dressed.
But hey, a classic Zero Hour show, up with the best.
Thanks and see ya, Bill (and Maxine)
