does a deeper, wider section (aka "swimming hole") of a kill (aka creek?) count for a lake?

Never been to a good lake huh? Sad. But you have to take a shower when you get out of the ocean. How is that "better"?
Avatar 10:07pm coelacanth∅:

when i lived about equal distance from lakes & ponds and the ocean, i slightly preferred lakes & ponds - but i liked them all.
Avatar 10:08pm coelacanth∅:

  10:09pm Dion Chalksee:

Oceans are like overrated pop music- the Atlantic is akin to Justin Timberlake- huge and everybody knows it. Lakes on the other hand are like underground music- some are huge like Superior, but only known by smart people like The Clash while others are tiny and obscure. Afterbirth for example is Tawas Lake.

  10:17pm Dion Chalksee:

You get sand in all sorts of crevices if you're making love on a sandy lake beach
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:17pm Dave in SoDak:

Oceans have flesh-eating fish and mammals, so I'm for Lakes.

true, Dion but ANY sandy beach... best to stick with doing it on a muddy river bank.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:20pm Richard S:

There's a greater variety of lakes than there is of oceans.
  10:22pm Dion Chalksee:

Oceans don't have beaches, just rocks and cliffs.

Avatar 10:38pm coelacanth∅:

a lake has water coming in and water going out. (right?) so wouldn't a swimming hole along a kill be technically a lake?
  10:38pm Dion Chalksee:
