  3:07pm JakeGould:

Late lunch. No rain. Hi Scott!
Avatar 3:07pm geezerette:

the guitar sounds sooo much better than the chitlings.
  3:08pm bloopy:

hey there scott and scottiettes
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:09pm Parq:

Always pleased by tracks like this that reflect (IMO, anyway) a 60s influence and yet don't sound at all dated.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:10pm Scott Williams:

Hey there everybody, so glad you're here! Might be considering your requests again more than usual today
Avatar 3:11pm geezerette:

Parq, same here.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:12pm Guido from Cologne:

hello Scott!
Avatar 3:14pm northguineahills:

Huh, didn't recognize the band last night....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:14pm fred:

Good afternoon Scott and listeners
Avatar 3:14pm BabyBear:

Did anyone recognize the guy from Dirty Beaches on Twin Peaks last night?
Avatar 3:14pm steve:

Avatar 3:17pm V Priceless:

deep purple - into the fire! : )
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:18pm Scott Williams:

@BabyBear, yep! that was DB's Alex on sax at the roadhouse
  3:19pm BennettCap:

Anything by Les Paul and Mary Ford would be nice to hear, if you're taking requests.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:19pm JP from KC:

I was just thinking, I haven't heard any Space Lady over the airwaves lately...
Avatar 3:19pm BabyBear:

@Scott W. was that band on stage a real band? Saw that is was credited as Trouble and included Lynch's son
Avatar 3:22pm geezerette:

Liking all the grit.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:23pm fred:

Trouble appeared in Twin Peaks?!?!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:23pm Scott Williams:

@BabyBear, not sure!

  3:25pm Fiction/Non-Fiction:

El Paso" sung by ghosts.
Avatar 3:28pm geezerette:

which it was...
Avatar 3:28pm Will from Seattle:

the sonic equivalent of visiting a Texas ghosttown
Avatar 3:29pm BabyBear:

@Fred Yes, playing the song "Snake Eyes". I wasn't sure if it was something that the put together just for the show. Lynch didn't give it the same treatment that other bands have had on the show so far. Seemed more like a score than a highlighted song.
  3:30pm BennettCap:

@geezerette Yes, he's haunting a hill overlooking El Paso.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:30pm Michael 98145:

if yer askin me, i'd like to hear "I'm Mad" by Willie Mabon. thanks much.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:31pm Parq:

Sadly, this El Paso still sounds better than the last time I picked up a bass.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:31pm fred:

@BabyBear: Don't interpret my failed joke as confirming this was a real band: I was talking about Trouble the DJ. When you have to explain a joke...
Avatar 3:32pm Bas NL:

Hi Scott! Any Jew's harp music at hand? I had a great night of Jew's harp last Saturday...
Avatar 3:32pm V Priceless:

@ fred - and here I thought you meant the hard rock band Trouble
  3:34pm JakeGould:

El Paso? More like El Trippo!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:35pm fred:

@Bas: Ken might have left some Olga Podluzhnaya within reach
Avatar 3:35pm northguineahills:

The previous bands were real bands.....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:36pm Bronwyn Bishop:

hey scott and everyone!
Avatar 3:38pm Fox (Rā-chul):

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:40pm Scott Williams:

Hey Bronwyn & Rachael!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:40pm Scott Williams:

I need ya'll to pick your fave song with the number 12 in the title- do it now, thanks!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:41pm Bronwyn Bishop:

Little Twelve Toes from Multiplication Rock (it scared me when I was a kid and then I played it on my first ever FMU show...very close to my heart...great great song for being from a cartoon...)
  3:42pm Mark Williams:

Fish #12 by Colin Newman.

  3:51pm mnba78:

braxton has a composition 122, but that's cheating, no?
  3:51pm JakeGould:

You hate fidget spinners? They’re cool! Don’t hate.
  3:52pm mnba78:

remember May 12, Scattered Order
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:53pm fred:

@mnba78: Isn't 12-bit blues the track for which you have to build a cardboard record player?
  3:53pm zopa:

nick lowe. 12 step program

Avatar 3:55pm Jeff:

Mark Williams is the winner!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:56pm Mark the Sardine:

I, for one, am interested to hear your take on fidget spinners. Also I appreciate this Fish 12 track.
Avatar 3:56pm Chris from DC:

Is Two Minutes to Midnight workable?
Avatar 3:57pm Jeff:

Ooh, then you could totally kill two birds with "11 More Months and 10 Days" by the Sons of the Pioneers...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:58pm Scott Williams:

Congrats Mark Williams! Luck all of you I couldn't find that Grateful Dead song, so no Eleven
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:58pm Scott Williams:

btw, still stockpiling the tremelo requests, thanks

The Cosmic Trigger is triggering me.
Avatar 4:00pm Chris from DC:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:00pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Spin me around in the fidget verse!
  4:01pm 50/beatle:

  4:03pm JakeGould:

Mic a fidget spinner and add tremolo to it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:03pm Parq:

These didn't go to 11?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:05pm fred:

There's a track I spent years looking for but it hadn't been released yet. Sigur Ros used to close their shows with it. It eventually became the 8th track on their () album, so I always think of it as (8). I think it has a real title by now, so it doesn't count
Avatar 4:09pm Mayuko:

Hellos, Scott!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:11pm Scott Williams:

Hola Mayuko!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:12pm Carmichael:

Heya Scott and listeners. Here's something that I bet has never been said on the FMU boards: I'm going down to the main jail to give a Public Works presentation.
Avatar 4:15pm geezerette:

Wow Carmichael,that'll be an experience!
Avatar 4:16pm northguineahills:

It's theronium!
  4:16pm flashbazbo:

Scott. Please play the twelves by Kokomo Arnold. You won't regret it
  4:33pm Eric:

I could listen to this album all day every day.

(Except too much Richard Thompson and you get too freakin' sad.)
  4:41pm JakeGould:

Woo! Thanks for liking fidget spinners, Scott! I have seen children, adults and even junkies and vagrants enjoy fidget spinners!!!
  4:42pm Dean:

Elementary schools are freaking out about fidget spinners. No violence in shopping malls, but apparently there have been playground injuries.
  4:43pm JakeGould:

They even have bluetooth fidget spinners now. Imagine spinning one to the sounds of Darude’s “Sandstorm” spinning and all that? Cost like $12 to $15 but might be a worthy investment for some.
  4:43pm JakeGould:

@Dean: “Elementary schools are freaking out about [anything in youth culture].”
  4:43pm Greg from ZONE 5:

I have an old Silvertone amp that has a tremolo KNOB on it. So, so boss.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:43pm Guido from Cologne:

the smoke - my friend jack - tremolo guitar
Avatar 4:44pm Chris from DC:

Cramps - Human Fly
Avatar 4:44pm steve:

i dont have a good demo in front on me but one of my students last semester built a tremelo whose speed was controlled by the guitar's volume envelope, so it would speed up or slow down in real time based on how loud or soft you play. pretty cool.
  4:44pm Dean:

@JakeGould: For sure. Makes me nuts.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:44pm Scott Williams:

@Z5 Greg, daaaaaamnnn.....
Avatar 4:45pm Bas NL:

Tremolo.. How about 'How Soon Is Now' by The Smiths?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:46pm Guido from Cologne:

s omething by the chantays - can't recollect the most tremolo heavy selection
Avatar 4:46pm geezerette:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:46pm Greg from ZONE 5:

@Scott: I'll bring it by once I get it repaired.

Also: www.youtube.com...
  4:46pm JakeGould:

@Dean: When you see schools like that always remember this… American schools are based on a German model of teaching designed to train and create factory workers. Don’t fall out of line! Fidget spinners will cause the death of you and your co-workers!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:47pm foofs:

I do like me a nice fantasia. Ralph Vaughan Williams used to knock out some good 'uns.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:47pm Greg from ZONE 5:

Oh and also also Matt F's amazing "Mein Amph" premium from 2016.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:48pm Guido from Cologne:

sandy bull's live recording from SF Matrix 1966 or so is 90% tremolo and 10% instrument
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:48pm Parq:

I dunno this Sandy Bull, but this tremolo instro is blasting me sky high.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:49pm Michael 98145:

what Parq said
  4:49pm Dean:

@JakeGould: It goes beyond that, though. My friends and I got away with a lot of heavy duty shit in elementary school, even through high school. Nowadays, administrations and teachers tolerate very little. I think it's more about liability, the fear of suit from ... other parents!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:50pm Guido from Cologne:

Guess his Vanguard debut is among the best.
Some of it I would consider "psych jazz" way long there was so called psychedelic rock.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:53pm Michael 98145:

( there were fewer lawyers when we were young ... )
  4:54pm zopa:

ike turner, cuban get away?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:54pm Scott Williams:

@Z5 Greg - YES to Matt Fiveash's killer premium from 2016!
  4:55pm McGreivey:

ooo great unexpected shaky reverb guitar segue.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:55pm Guido from Cologne:

most ridiculous TV-appaerance imaginable.
Michael karoli with whig and shades.
Avatar 4:56pm Faye:

I was like, I need to put on some music. & then I was like, what's on WFMU? & then I was like, oh it's Scott, & he's playing Can. Hell yes. HI SCOTT
Avatar 4:56pm Mr. Lowry:

@JakeGould Or more accurately Prussia if memory serves.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:57pm Scott Williams:

Do parenthetical #12's count? Realizing I'm too late for this, of course, but my #12 song suggestion would be "Axonda (12 Stages Greatest Prophesy in Centuries)" by Bobby Brown (the tripped out Hawaiian surfer one man band).
