Excellent string of jams, my friend. And Faust is always well received in my headspace...
  1:09am Eiderdown:

Is this Ash Ra from the High & Mighty Priestess boot? I've been tempted...
  1:10am Eiderdown:

I have it all digitally but it'd be so nice on vinyl
Avatar 1:10am Jeff Conklin:

I bought this CD-R from Kim's back in the day, so I'm not sure. Here it is: www.discogs.com...

The last time I thought NYC was really cool was when I saw Tony Conrad walking down my street in neon green pants. #RIP

Agree! in 2016, already a year?!
...is this why your page is green?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:23am Guido from Cologne:

Good morning Jeff!
Avatar 1:23am Jeff Conklin:

Welcome, Mary. No, that's not why my page is green. I just like this color. Not so into neon though, worked better for TC ;)
Avatar 1:25am Jeff Conklin:

Hey, Guido
Avatar 1:30am Eiderdown:

Jeff- this was the newer 3xLP version I was talking about...
Avatar 1:31am Eiderdown:

The artwork is meh but the these live tracks are so killer
  1:31am mary:

& when Tony work the pants with the green T shirt.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:32am Guido from Cologne:

"freak'n'Roll", is'nt it?
  1:34am mary:

great show.
I'll check out archive ...and listen live now that I know.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:38am upsetter5001:

This live Ash Ra Temple is fantastic!
Avatar 1:40am Eiderdown:

Guido, not positive but it's either a stretched out version of Freak N Roll or it comes from very similar set of jams
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:47am upsetter5001:

@Eiderdown so this not live?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:52am Guido from Cologne:

Cologne version of "Freak'n'Roll" frankly.
Weisshaus is an old Cinema in Cologne.
In the 70ies a lot of concerts took place there.
Nowadays it serves as a cinema again.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:56am Guido from Cologne:

weisshaus translates to "white haus", for what reason ever. facade is pained white, ok. www.weisshaus-kino.de
  1:56am zenkoan:

Outstanding Dead jam. Is Bootsville an actual label, or is that DJ-speak for bootleg recording? ; )
Avatar 1:59am Jeff Conklin:

@zenkoan: Not a label
Avatar 1:59am Eiderdown:

@upsetter5001...yeah, it's live I'm pretty sure!
Avatar 2:01am Eiderdown:

This Dead jam is a pretty pristine live recording. Yow
Avatar 2:02am Eiderdown:

Maybe there are better out there but I'm used to some pretty muddy live sounds
  2:02am Elle Tor's Husband:

Say! These fellas can play!
Avatar 2:17am Jeff Conklin:

@Eiderdown: Yeah that tape sounds great, but there are hundreds upon hundreds of great recordings.
Avatar 2:18am Eiderdown:

Ha, I bet. I just havent gone that far down that road (yet)
Always appreciate you selecting the choice live GD cuts...too much for this novice to wade into
  2:21am Ochre Ogre:

Mornin Jeff, friend of mine told me just last wk of the Dead sound check at W Glen. I was there, don't remember much do to intake of too many substances. I do remember it certainly was MASSIVE!!
Avatar 2:24am Eiderdown:

Who is this "Alexander"? Sounds real nice...
Avatar 2:28am Jeff Conklin:

@Ochre: Hahahaha. Do you remember anything?
Avatar 2:29am Jeff Conklin:

@Eiderdown: Dude fro New Haven. Great player!
  2:42am Ochre Ogre:

Oh yeah some, hearing The band and The Dead too far away to see well. Got down front in the mud after downpours the night the Allman Bros played. And incredibly ran into some friends one day!
  2:45am Mark R:

That Watkins Glen soundcheck with the jam you played tonight is available for streaming on concertvault.com. I belief that jam bridged between "Me and My Uncle" and "Wharf Rat."
Avatar 2:47am BEAVO:

Great version of this on Hot Tuna's Live Double Dose.
Avatar 2:51am BEAVO:

The Watkins Glen sound check. is on the So Many Roads box set.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:52am Guido from Cologne:

Is the ochs/Taussing LP with download code.
I was used to Tompkins Square ofdfering both vinyl and CD.
Seems not to be the case here.
Avatar 2:53am Jeff Conklin:

Hi. The Watkins Glen soundcheck is here, where everything is: archive.org...

Or its on a 20 year old Maxell tape at your house.
Avatar 2:53am Jeff Conklin:

@Guido: I have no idea if theres a download with the vinyl.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:56am Aitch:

Thanks JC, nice
Avatar 2:56am BEAVO:

GDM will get around to releasing it on a cd box set eventually. Maybe in your lifetime.
  2:57am Ochre Ogre:

Ha, awesome thanks man!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:58am Guido from Cologne:

thanks & CU!
