Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:10pm Scott Williams:

Howdy, pals! @Cliff, I'd love to get Jeff down here for that trick, but welcome anyone else to give it a go!
Avatar 3:10pm Jeff:

This is the part of Scott's show where he plays great music.
Avatar 3:10pm Jeff:

So is this.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:12pm Michael 98145:

- this is the strange part -
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:12pm Scott Williams:

...and this is the part where the equipment mutinies!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:12pm Cliff (temporarily not) in Prague:

This is the part where I leave a witty comment in response.

This thing is causing chronic realization.

  3:15pm Mark Williams:

very little info on this. Was a cassette, yes Scott? It's not available on Kitty Play's site anymore.

An asterisk is added, indicating that the song being played is new.

Oh we forgot step 1, where we cop a page from the Jim Price playbook!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:26pm Guido from Cologne:

How great is this?
Avatar 3:26pm coelacanth∅:

...i would drink more beer if it all sounded like this.
Avatar 3:26pm Wild Neil:

PEACE all. Sunwatchers sounds a bit like 75 dollar bill. Or African rock music.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:26pm Scott Williams:

Next: incongruously placed pop song that refers literally to something earlier in the set!
Avatar 3:27pm Wild Neil:

An ironic comment of my own that is "meta".
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:30pm Cliff (temporarily not) in Prague:

This is the part where I.... oh, forget it :P Hi Parq!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:31pm Scott Williams:

That was the part where I fixed the RCA cable so that one device comes out in BOTH channels

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:42pm Michael 98145:

- i really like this show but when i listen i find it makes me nervous -
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:44pm Scott Williams:

@Michael 98145, yep here's the meta/self-referential bit!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:44pm Ike:

Please no spoilers, but was the premiere good? Haven't seen it yet. All I've heard is that it's a nice dose of Lynch dread and terror. Looking forward to some long drawn-out scenes where Lynch trolls the audience with hilarious stuff like the old guy in the season 2 premiere who hobbled around talking about milk and didn't even notice that Coop was bleeding out on the floor. (One of my fave scenes.)

Avatar 3:47pm northguineahills:

Crap, I need to figure out how to get Showtime now...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:47pm Scott Williams:

@Ike - Fatty Jubbo asked "is it weird like Eraserhead or unwatchable like Inland Empire?" -- Yes. Definitely worth watching, either way
Avatar 3:47pm Polyus:

@ Ike - what I will say is that it feels much less like a continuation of the old series than it does a continuation of what Lynch has been up to in recent years, i.e. Inland Empire, Mullholland Drive, even Lost Highway.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:47pm Scott Williams:

@ngh, it ain't easy!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:49pm Ike:

Possibly an unpopular opinion among Lynch fans but I wasn't crazy about Inland Empire at ALL, but loved Mulholland (wish that had gone to series, since it was partly a pilot originally) and Lost Highway. I hope it ain't too Inland-y.
  3:49pm zopa:

what is in Donahue's basement?!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:51pm Ike:

For those who want to go legit to see it, I hear that you can add Showtime to an Amazon Prime subscription. Or Hulu, perhaps. It's cheaper than cable that way, but not cheap.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:52pm Cliff (temporarily not) in Prague:

I actually sat through Inland Empire in a movie theater. I still don't know what the heck it was about.
Avatar 3:54pm fred:

Not being able to see Twin Peaks is really annoying. I really liked Inland Empire, the last fiction movie I saw, when it came out
  3:56pm Aaron Mertes:

get the Kodi add on app for amazon firestick and watch it for free! No more cable. Quit paying for commercials!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:56pm ChrisB.:

I watched Twin Peaks last night, and will watch it over again tonight. Dense, funny, scary, puzzling.
Avatar 3:58pm coelacanth∅:

are we? how do we know anything you've told us is...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:59pm ⓘⓚⓔ:

Me too @Cliff. Seemed like it might work better as a series of Youtube videos for better absorption.

hello dear pals
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:05pm tomasz.:

i should prolly watch the original Twin Peaks at some point, huh
Avatar 4:06pm KP:

It's unwatchable but dont take your eyes off it
  4:06pm JakeGould:

It feels very video in texture.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:06pm tomasz.:

the only Lynch film i have seen is "The Straight Story". it was very good, but, i'm led to believe, unrepresentative
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:06pm ɨkɛ:

Oh no, more of that Inland Empire video lighting? Yuck.
  4:07pm mrmikestandsir:

David Lynch is credited with the sound design in the new series.
Avatar 4:07pm V Priceless:

Lynch did sound design, so it's Lynch
Avatar 4:08pm coelacanth∅:

i dunno, tomasz - apparently you'll eventually be disappointed.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:08pm Rich in Washington:

I used to DJ before a late night Reggae DJ who would bring his background music all the way down every time he talked and bring it way up in even short pauses. No one knew why he did that. It was really dumb sounding.
Avatar 4:09pm fred:

@tomasz.: apart from the accident scene, it was far from Lynch's "usual" output
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:11pm Rich in Washington:

Straight Story is so strangely non-Lynchian. It's as if he wanted to see if he could make a very mainstream movie just for shits n' giggles.
I guess Cronenberg approached making mainstream movies in an experimental way, starting with Eastern Promise.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:11pm ɛɨk:

@Rich@4:08, that's standard Caribbean pirate FM DJ style here.

@c∅@4:08: Isn't eventual disappointment inevitable in all facets of life, and in most great TV shows?
Avatar 4:50pm coelacanth∅:

it's "shah-nah" !!!
Avatar 4:54pm coelacanth∅:

Yikes@4:47 in Life maybe; but as long as i remain a twin peaks virgin i won't be disappointed in it, at least.

the second yes record.
Avatar 5:34pm slugluv1313:

i agree, Scott!
i looked @ playlist & pleasantly surprised -- WOW, that is Yes?!?!?
what an intricately cool song!
Avatar 5:36pm coelacanth∅:

the first one was called "yes". it has that abominable version of "every little thing" on it.
time and a word is the only one i don't have until after (the also abominable) "tormato".
i have to hear this album.
Avatar 5:38pm coelacanth∅:

(i think i still like the buffalo springfield version better though)
  5:44pm zopa:

i love tormato. don't kill the whale. dig it.

Avatar 5:52pm coelacanth∅:

okay, i like that sentiment, zopa; and though i don't remember the album at all, i know i thought it wasn't as bad as "going for the one"....but a huge disappointment after "relayer".
Avatar 5:53pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Quite a hit-and-miss discography Jane had, but the hits were magnificent.
Avatar 5:54pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

That early one (Here We Are) is one of the grooviest LPs of all time. Speaking of Brain...
