Just gone midnight Bill. Feels like 1am - its been a long day!
Avatar 7:13pm Bill Mac:

Tell me about it! Coming to JC on a workday is always an epic journey. I'm here now so the rest is gravy. No cocoa though.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:05pm melinda:

hey Bill!
Avatar 8:10pm Bill Mac:

Howdy do, Melinda!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:10pm Parq:

Home and settled in for the second and third acts. Strictly speaking, Bill, Xiu Xiu is on the first floor, not in the basement.
Avatar 8:18pm Bill Mac:

We don't have a basement....
I'm picturing the band being tied up and left in a closet somehow
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:24pm Uncle Michael:

Avatar 8:27pm Bill Mac:

UM!!! Too bad you're not here now. It was 80 today
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:28pm Uncle Michael:

It was pretty nice here today, but not quite 80.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:28pm Parq:

This is a way cool set. Gotta cook.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:30pm Parq:

Bill, something like this?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:31pm Uncle Michael:

I met Denny. I got his autograph. Winifred Haun tore it up.
Avatar 8:32pm northguineahills:

yoes, geezerette! (whoops, I tried to send this 40 minutes ago, and it didn't go through).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:34pm Uncle Michael:

She was 11. I was 10. Wini was mad at me.
Avatar 8:39pm Bill Mac:

I hate when they do that!
  8:46pm V Priceless:

Yeah baby!
  8:48pm wu wei:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:50pm Uncle Michael:

This Sabbath track is quite topical.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:11pm Uncle Michael:

I've decided I like this cover by the Bangles quite a bit.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:16pm melinda:

I liked the Bangles number too
Avatar 9:19pm Bill Mac:

I like what I've heard on there so far
Avatar 9:23pm coelacanth∅:

greetings Mr.Bill and magnetic Zzzzzzeros

...i'm ready to boogaloo, i think
Avatar 9:24pm Bill Mac:

J Geils RIP
Avatar 9:25pm coelacanth∅:

oh shit, really?
- rest in peace.
Avatar 9:26pm northguineahills:

The Zombie remind me of 2000, probably b/c my roommate got the box set, and the girl I was seeing was really into them....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:26pm Parq:

Used to have a tape of a Geils set from the old King Biscuit Flower Hour. They opened with "House Party", and not to take anything away from the original version of the song (or that studio Geils version) but they just tore into that mother like the 7th Infantry.

Uncle Michael, yo tambien.
Avatar 9:26pm Bill Mac:

@CC - Still no reason not to dance... J would have wanted it that way, right?
Avatar 9:28pm coelacanth∅:

Parq, the "full house" album is certainly one of the best live albums of that era.
Avatar 9:28pm Bill Mac:

Needs to check that one out
  9:34pm V Priceless:

never got to see J. Geils live, but know many who did and swear they kicked major ass unlike no one else.
Avatar 9:35pm coelacanth∅:

Bill it's pretty hot; still i like the bloodshot album the best. ...and @9.26, yeah i think so!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:36pm Parq:

Oh yeah, it's a great one, coa.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:37pm melinda:

Avatar 9:37pm coelacanth∅:

isn't "it ain't easy" a Randy Newman song? ...one of those guys!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:38pm Parq:

This is true. The Mutts people send the strip out as a daily email, always accompanied by a quote. It's usually some inspirational thing, very often sappy, but a few days ago, it was a Don Van Vliet lyric.
Avatar 9:39pm coelacanth∅:

Ron Davies penned it ain't easy. (i'm not familiar)
...i first heard it by 3 dog night.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:39pm Uncle Michael:

When we fill the vacuum, we just empty the bag and keep going.
Avatar 9:40pm coelacanth∅:

i Loves me some pretty things!
  9:41pm V Priceless:

Mutts is great
Avatar 9:44pm geezerette:

Long time no coel, how you doin'?
Avatar 9:46pm geezerette:

it's just a scream...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:48pm Parq:

This is also true. i saw Long John Baldry when he was touring to support "It Ain't Easy" at a charity "rock festival" in the parking lot of the Fashion Center mall in Paramus NJ in 1972.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:49pm Parq:

If I recall, one side produced by Rod Stewart, the other by Elton John.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:50pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Well, at least I'm not too late to drop in with a witty comment. Pity about J. Geils. They had a good sound in their time together.
Avatar 9:50pm coelacanth∅:

i just read about Ron Davies. i don't know why i was thinking Randy Newman, except that i must've confused 2 different people who compose excellent songs, that i don't really like their performances of.
Avatar 9:51pm geezerette:

Rat- packy!
Avatar 9:52pm coelacanth∅:

hey there g!
Avatar 9:52pm geezerette:

I dig Johnny Mercer.

Howdy c!
Avatar 9:52pm coelacanth∅:

Bill should appreciate something Ratty!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:54pm Uncle Michael:

Long John and Rod were old bandmates...Steampacket
Avatar 9:55pm Bill Mac:

Time to go all, thanks for hanging out. See you in a couple weeks?!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:55pm Parq:

UM, weren't the two of them and John also football mates?
Avatar 9:55pm geezerette:

Whose voice?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:56pm Parq:

Oh shit, is it time? Man, great show, Bill, see you soon.
Avatar 9:56pm coelacanth∅:

i guess i should learn myself about this Long John Baldry?
Avatar 9:56pm geezerette:

Thank you, Mr. Mac!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:57pm Uncle Michael:

Thanks, Bill!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:58pm Uncle Michael:

Probably later on, Parq. Steampacket was real early for LJ and Rod.
  9:58pm V Priceless:

Thanks Bill! Fun show! Can't believe it's been three hours already!
Avatar 9:58pm coelacanth∅:

Thanks Bill. sorry to be so unfashionably late.
- see y'all
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:58pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Thanks, Bill. I see a couple fill-ins for Mayuko coming up. Keep yourself limber until then!
Avatar 4:16pm Brian in UK:

Great mix as ever. Whistling along with the Capt'n.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:58am Stanley:

Whistling along like Brian, that's me caught up.
Thanks, Bill. Show was as good as ever.
