Hi. Been awake since 2.50pm; what great music I be missing while asleep!! Plus the dj patter, so informative. Also, I'll be Miriam'ng and Eitzel'ng at Monty.
Avatar 3:39am Mark R:

Glad you could join us tonight, Herb!
  4:14am Ajay:

this Horace Tapscott jam is killer!
Avatar 4:16am Mark R:

It's quite an epic performance, isn't it? BIG.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:17am Scraps:

So sorry about Blythe. I associate him with David Murray, and I never thought he was approaching dying.
Avatar 4:19am Mark R:

His obit said he had Parkinson's. He was 76. He was one of the real keepers of the flame IMO. That sound! You knew in 5 seconds it was him.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:29am Scraps:

In Washington there is no liquor store; just buy liquor in the grocery now. (Kinda weird.)
Avatar 4:30am Mark R:

In New Jersey, it's a whole separate deal--they don't even sell beer in the grocery store, which can be very inconvenient when you're stocking up for a cookout or something.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:32am Scraps:

Whoa, not even beer? In New Jersey?? That's like, Alberta or someplace.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:47am Guido from Cologne:

Godd morning Mark!
Avatar 4:49am Mark R:

Welcome, Guido! How's Cologne this morning?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:58am Guido from Cologne:

It's pretty foggy over here.
After having a almost summer-like Sunday!
Avatar 5:20am Sem Chumbo:

Yes, the Divine Ms. Sarah. Lovely, thank you, Mark, and, hello, Circulars.
Avatar 5:22am Mark R:

I remembered your comment last week, Sem, so I'm playing some more Sassy for you.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:29am Guido from Cologne:

best debut album ever:
US- or UK-version?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:31am Guido from Cologne:

Avatar 5:33am Sem Chumbo:

Thank you very much, Mark. Ms. Vaughn's voice first thing in the day is a healing balm for the soul. And I'm all about the balm:-)
Avatar 5:39am Mark R:

Either one, Guido! The modern era CDs combine them so you get both "Purple Haze" and "Red House," since it was a crime to leave either one off, anyway.
