Hiya, Irwin, Hoboken Jack, whomp.
No runaway train recordings today, I guess?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:09pm Irwin:

Bouncy bass: Andy Fraser.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:09pm Parq:

Dying is easy, Freeform is hard.
Avatar 3:10pm Sem Chumbo:

Freeform dying is an under-explored avenue of self expression.
Avatar 3:11pm PKNY:

Once again, if only classic rock radio went a little deeper in the Free catalog than "All Right Now" every once in a while.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:15pm Bronwyn Bishop:

hellooo irwin and friends

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:33pm maestroso:

Wow. Thank you scientist indeed.
  3:33pm Jack:

Wow, thanks Irwin. Haven't heard that Al Kooper song since...well, I had the album decades ago. 1969!!
Avatar 3:34pm spodiodi:

A little Klezmerish there too maybe
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:34pm AnAnonymousParty:

Dream Theater rhythmic elements there.
Avatar 3:35pm Hoboken Jack:

This sounds like Michael Jackson fronting Devotchka.
  3:45pm Elle Tor's Husband:

Search Stanyan St and Rod McKuen. He lived right across the street from me on Stanyan St. He had a big photo spread in Life or Look Feel The Warm....
Avatar 3:46pm spodiodi:

voila: media.gettyimages.com... (thank you, cool!)
  3:50pm Elle Tor's Husband:

McKuen left when he hit it big and his house was empty for a long time so we used to sneak in and rifle the cupboards. I remember all the Mail on the floor - hundreds of letters...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:56pm Passaic River Blues:

That Nina was excellent.
  3:57pm Marie:

Hi Irwn, Were you on a trip?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:57pm AnAnonymousParty:

Logitech ... crap? No, you are thinking of Samsung.
Avatar 3:57pm Sem Chumbo:

Didn't take the comments seriously, Irwin. We just consider the source:-)

I spent an hour or so this morning cleaning my logitech mouse (inside and out.) ~13 years of mung BLASTED into the bin. I love this mouse. I love it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:00pm Irwin:

No, I meant LOGITECH. I FuCkInG HATe theM and will never buy their products again because they KILLED MY MAMA*(&@%^$
Avatar 4:01pm spodiodi:

*covers Logitech mouse's eyes*
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:03pm Irwin:

I don't care how much you despise VZ and MSFT, in my brief life, Logitech has delivered the absolute worst tech support experiences. I'm delighted to slam them over the airwaves.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:04pm Irwin:

I get feverish discussing my hatred for Logitech. I tremble and start to perspire.
  4:13pm shtus:

oh shit
  4:17pm Jack:

I'm with you Irwin! I just put my crappy faulty Logitech speakers curbside. They really sucked, and then they broke.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:18pm Irwin:

The Swiss should stick to chocolate and cheese.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:19pm Passaic River Blues:

Oh man, Joe's analysis is spot on but brutal.
  4:22pm Jack:

Yeah, and their cheese has holes in it! ( I don't like chocolate)
  4:23pm shtus:

yeah the swiss dont even know how to make corkscrews for their swiss army knives
Avatar 4:25pm dk50b:

They're also good at laundering money for the Nazis and holding on to money belonging to Holocaust victims. Sorry, too dark?

  4:29pm Jack:

Speaking of Al Kooper; Shuggie Otis gets played on FMU a bit, but didn't Al Kooper discover him? They made an album when Shuggie was 15, but I've never heard it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:32pm melinda:

Playful self-loathing, the good kind.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:33pm Passaic River Blues:

@Jack: the Kooper-Otis record is pretty cool. I have an old CD-R of it somewhere. There is one really long jam hybrid blues jam I recall really liking (even if I can't recall the title).
@Melinda: Joe's needling of his buddy right now is giving me life.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:37pm Irwin:

Al discovered Shuggie and produced his debut (titled Kooper Session, a play on Super Session). Don't think they worked together again. Al indicated that Shuggie was socially dysfunctional, but that's not the word he used.

Pete: 'So - our Manager asks him - do you recommend he stop playing entirely??'
Moon: 'Become a Pauper?!'
Pete: 'Throw his Career out the window?!?'
Pete:...'& the Dr. says - well...*no*...but...I *would* advise him to lear to lip-read'...
Moon: 'OooooHaHahHahahh'...
Pete:...'It's true.'...
  4:39pm Jack:

@PR Blues - I'm a check it out, thanks.
Irwin - is that from Kooper's bio? I read it a couple years back but don't remember lots.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:39pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Well, at least there are no Logitech vacuum cleaners that would cause anyone grief ... yet.
  4:41pm Jack:

I was going to ask Irwin if he was vacuuming. I generally like to vacuum during Fabio's show; the music he plays often blends with the vacuum cleaner in wonderful ways, produces beautiful music (although the cats don't like it much)
  4:41pm Courtney of Morris:

Joe frank every week please
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:44pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...'we're not quite divorced *yet* - but we're separated...& you're rilly rilly important to me - I promise'...

  4:51pm Courtney of Morris:

  4:57pm whomp:

Thumbs down on that one.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:57pm melinda:

That was funny.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:59pm joe mulligan:

for years I've been wondering who the Buddhist speaker is on Joe Frank's episodes. Is it a young Jack Kornfield?
Avatar 4:59pm spodiodi:

We forgive you, Irwin.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:59pm Passaic River Blues:

What are the odds Debbie and Malcolm made it as a couple?

Hello Laura. I'll bet you're working alone.
  5:48pm Laura L:

Oh, yeah. And on Monday I have to go back to Italy to finish project at the printer, so I am extra working alone.
