Avatar Mon. 3/27/17 12:28am Jennifer_PNW:

I've tried to get into MV & EE before but couldn't. This track however encourages me to try again.
Avatar Mon. 3/27/17 12:29am Jeff Conklin:

@Jen: So you go make coffee everytime I play them over the years?
  Mon. 3/27/17 12:30am Eric Hat:

Hey Jeff and all. Got the night off. So I can actually just lay back and listen...
Avatar    Mon. 3/27/17 12:37am tuner fish:

Avatar Mon. 3/27/17 12:38am Jeff Conklin:

This is the longest into to Stephen I've ever heard...almost 4 mnutes until the first verse.
Avatar    Mon. 3/27/17 12:40am tuner fish:

they are in top form here, that's for sure!
Avatar Mon. 3/27/17 12:40am Jennifer_PNW:

@Jeff , No I make some Pu-erh tea. I can't have coffee this late at night.
Avatar Mon. 3/27/17 12:43am Jeff Conklin:

@tuner: Agreed!

@jennifer: gotcha, well, once you get into them, there's so much music to discover...
Avatar Mon. 3/27/17 12:44am Jeff Conklin:

Quiet around here tonight....
  Mon. 3/27/17 12:50am tomasz.:

Avatar    Mon. 3/27/17 12:54am tuner fish:

  Mon. 3/27/17 12:56am ?:

We are all making this great again and again and again. We oddballs have every right and obligation to fly the redwhiteblue union flag. Sing it Jerry!
  Mon. 3/27/17 1:09am Dean:

Just picked up Laura Nyro's Mother's Spiritual LP for four bucks, Mel Torme and George Shearing for two, and a Jorma K. CD for seven. Also on vinyl a Faure Requiem and a compilation of Delius work for pennies.
  Mon. 3/27/17 1:14am Eric Hat:

Reminds me of Albatross.
  Mon. 3/27/17 1:18am Eric Hat:

Sorry, the Fleetwood Mac track.
  Mon. 3/27/17 1:21am blythest:

hey jeff! beautiful florian fricke track. :) really into the prana crafter stuff you've played the past few shows!
Avatar Mon. 3/27/17 1:25am Jeff Conklin:

@Dean: May have overpaid for that second thing ;)
Avatar Swag For Life Member Mon. 3/27/17 1:29am Scraps:

Good pickup on Mother's Spiritual. Hard to find.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Mon. 3/27/17 1:32am Scraps:

Which Delius? Which conductor? Really, really like Delius, with so many pieces are good
  Mon. 3/27/17 1:33am Mike tp:

star cut is amazing
  Mon. 3/27/17 1:34am Eric Hat:

Seriously
Avatar Mon. 3/27/17 1:36am Jeff Conklin:

ISNT THIS SO GOOD????
  Mon. 3/27/17 1:37am Dean:

Hell, no! That Shearing record is really slick. I love Torff's work with Union. Nice to hear his earlier work.

The Delius is at 2LP Unicorn-Kanchana LP from 1981 featuring Felicity Lott and Anthony Rolfe-Johnson, the Royal Philharmonic conducted by Eric Fenby: https://www.discogs.com/Delius-Felicity-Lott-Anthony-Rolfe-Johnson-Thomas-Allen-Julian-Lloyd-Webber-Ambrosian-Singers-The-Ro/release/3971529
  Mon. 3/27/17 1:37am Eric Hat:

I can't find it
  Mon. 3/27/17 1:38am Eric Hat:

The Citrine Dreams...
Avatar Mon. 3/27/17 1:40am Jeff Conklin:

Thought you said Mel Torme??
Avatar Mon. 3/27/17 1:40am Jeff Conklin:

@Eric: Not out yet ;)
  Mon. 3/27/17 1:41am Dean:

Big Delius fan here, too, Scraps.

Hell, yes, Mel Torme. He and Shearing did a live thing in SF and they were all on fire.
  Mon. 3/27/17 1:42am Dean:

[Not sure why I keep saying, "Hell."]
Avatar Mon. 3/27/17 1:43am Jeff Conklin:

Have I been mislead about Mel Torme all these years??
Avatar Swag For Life Member Mon. 3/27/17 1:43am Scraps:

Some of that Delius I don't have, in any form. Neat. Unicorn Kanchana is very reliable, in my experience
Avatar Swag For Life Member Mon. 3/27/17 1:45am Scraps:

Boy, I like Torme's voice. And with Shearing they are pretty neat.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Mon. 3/27/17 1:49am Scraps:

Boy, I like this.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Mon. 3/27/17 1:49am Scraps:

Boy is my Hell, apparently
  Mon. 3/27/17 1:51am Dean:

Prob'ly. Torme is the quintessential lounge singer, for sure. But he is really good.
  Mon. 3/27/17 1:52am Eric Hat:

Yeah!!!
  Mon. 3/27/17 1:53am Eric Hat:

I know I've heard this Glenn-Copeland tack
Avatar Mon. 3/27/17 1:53am Aitch:

Very gentle tonight Jeff?
Avatar Swag For Life Member Mon. 3/27/17 1:53am Scraps:

Torme also writes and arranges. Versatile lounge singer
Avatar Mon. 3/27/17 1:54am Jeff Conklin:

@Aitch: We got the rock out in the first set, you missed it.
  Mon. 3/27/17 1:56am Dean:

Torme wrote "Born to Be Blue." I mean, c'mon.
  Mon. 3/27/17 1:56am Matt:

Shades of Terry Riley!
Avatar Mon. 3/27/17 1:58am Aitch:

Time change Jeff, came in late, will re-do tomorrow. This is really nice.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Mon. 3/27/17 2:00am Scraps:

Torme also played drums.
  Mon. 3/27/17 2:00am zehr:

Well I guess it's time to finally visit that Copy of the first Bev Copeland record I grabbed on a large thrift pull a few years back...just need to find it first.
  Mon. 3/27/17 2:05am Dean:
