It's always a relief to move beyond the main page to the playlist. Irene's place is a welcoming place.

Don't cry because it's over on commercial radio; smile because it happens on WFMU.

Reference cedars? No, you can't reference cedars. Just refer to them, and you'll be ok.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:14pm redkayak:

@Brian --- I'm more gardener, than grammar-er ;)
Avatar 9:18pm βrian:

Gardeners are the center about which the world revolves, so you've got that!
Avatar 9:19pm glenn:

Neither a gardener, nor a grammar-er be.

Or something.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:20pm redkayak:

@Brian - I like the way you think friend :) I should ask for a raise, lol....

Ah, finally coming up for air! I'm setting up for two live bands tonight, with Darlin Darlin up first. Then Stephen Karl & Handsome Animals. Hey, thanks to all who supported us during our Marathon Fundraiser-- our most successful yet! Massive thanks from all of us at WFMU.
Avatar 9:29pm slugluv1313:

beautiful evocative perfect music
(and not even 30 minutes into your show!)
having a tough time defining exactly what you do, Irene, but you always send out such loveliness! excellent when all things are positive and wonderful, but REALLY amazing (healing?) when things are sore and bruised and not going so great . . . THANK YOU!!!!!
Avatar 9:30pm geezerette:

Hello hello every body!

glenn, it's a linguistic affectation, especially in visual art, to use the word reference that way. Not defending the practice but I often see it used like that. I was just goofin'.

Hey Red ! :)
Avatar 9:31pm geezerette:

slugluv1313: purrrrfectly put! Total agreement.
Avatar 9:33pm BEAVO:

Shouldn't it be the Jersey City Serenade?
Avatar 9:33pm βrian:

Irene, I'm so rarely here during the night hours. I miss having you here in the light of day ...

Irene Trudel's show is so, so good tonight. "Cindy" by Stephen Karl & Handsome Anumals blew me away. Maybe its not supposed to, but that song hit hard. A happy song? Not for me, but a great one. Somehow deeper than intended perhaps. Excellent!
  11:16pm KP:

Hello, Irene. This sounds super
  11:27pm herb.nyc:

I try and do Marissa N's Monty Hall on Sunday!!
  11:50pm luh3417:

Irene staying up for days in a 'New Jersey' hotel playing Sad Eyed Lady of Lowlands for you or else sneaking out for a break. So nice to have a station that can play a whole side of BD.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:00am Irene Trudel:

Avatar 8:25am Sean in Bristol UK:
