Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:08pm Ike:

@Coe, good thing that imaginary FMU HR dept. only has imaginary staff and imaginary powers. (Its trailer full of John Zorn CDs is real, though. Don't ask me why the nonexistent HR department controls the John Zorn trailer, but that's imaginary bureaucracy for you.)

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:03pm Andrew Waterloo:

I think everybody remembers the day they discovered this record.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:03pm rsj:

that was so lame...i got pulled over once and wasnt drunk anymore but offered to do the alphabet backward, may have been while hopping a line on one foot, anyway I nailed it which made them really suspicious since it was like 4 am, I got arrested for refusing the breathalizer but they did not find the stash in the car which would have been really bad
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:03pm coelacanth∅:

i once saw Fabio walking across the street and i could hear that song in the distance.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:04pm rsj:

so kids need not practice that bit, it doesn't really work

Avatar 2:20pm Wild Neil:

PEACE All. Diane, I will never forget your Phil the Philthy Animal show then the Lemmy show in the span of like a month or less...that was EPIC!!! RIP, guys.

  2:30pm tomasz.:

definitely getting my hands on that Japanese deathgrind premium
  2:30pm JakeGould:

@coelacanth: Kinda getting sick of random “JM in the AM” bile being casually posted to comments here. I definitely was not into Nachum’s content, but support the tolerance and respect he had for the station as a whole. Far more tolerance than some random commenters/listeners are showing him now that the show us gone.
Avatar 2:34pm V Priceless:

(@ DK - btw, Neil Innes @ Chiller!!)
Avatar 2:34pm Chris M.:

70% of the goal! let's do this! everyone steal $20 out of your mom's purse and pledge!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:35pm Rich in Washington:

Sure is great hearing you on the air again, Diane!
Avatar 2:35pm Chris from DC:

Meeting finally over. Yay Diane.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:36pm coelacanth∅:

Jake, what's your opinion got to do with me?
Avatar 2:36pm Chris M.:

if not for me then pledge for Diane! DO IT!
  2:40pm JakeGould:

@coelcanth: “i'm glad jm in the am is gone” Your opinion is that of randomly bringing up a past DJ who supported WFMU for decades and randomly spitting venom at them. Especially nowadays, I find this kind of arbitrary, passive-aggressive hate to help nobody.
  2:41pm JakeGould:

PS: Everyone else… I’m done on that topic. Now please pledge if you haven’t!!!
  2:44pm Listener Robert:

I learned things from JM in the AM and even its predecessor Hebrew & Jewish program. Not a lot, but some things.

They played a song that sounded to me like, "Don't talk Russian, Hora, don't." I wondered why Hora shouldn't speak Russian. Then someone explained to me what lush-an-hora was, and the message was good advice. Don't talk lush-an-hora about Nachum!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:44pm Greg from ZONE 5:

UGH. I would eat my phone before I read texts out over the air.
  2:46pm JakeGould:

Don’t eat your phone!
  2:47pm Listener Robert:

Now, if Nachum were actually present & you said critical things about him then, that would NOT be lush-an-hora because it's not behind his back. But it seems the people here freak even more about things said about people who are present.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:47pm coelacanth∅:

Jake it was not random it was in response to Chris and Diane. you obviously weren't listening to the show and you don't seem to know the meaning of the word"random". you're overreacting if you call that "bile"; and i was tolerant of that waste of good air time for all the years it was on wfmu so it has nothing to do with "now that the show is gone".
- and i respect that he and his listeners had a mutually beneficial relationship with wfmu.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:48pm Ike:

Quick, somebody text something absurd/dirty (but not so dirty that it's FCC-unsafe) to Chris M.!
  2:51pm Listener Robert:

What does seem in retrospect to have been a waste of time was the rerunning of the Alan Watts lecture series, considering there were only about 2 dozen IIRC. But guess what? I used to listen to them on WFMU over & over! (They were widely available on video & audio cassette.) They were that good IMO.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:51pm joe:

@VPricless can't make it this time and very bummed about missing Slim Jim
  2:52pm JakeGould:

@Ike: Ohhhh! Tempting.
Avatar 2:52pm Undead83:

No reading personal texts aloud please xD
Avatar 2:52pm V Priceless:

@ joe: Dang!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:53pm Ike:

"Chris, if you don't stop fondling that warehouse full of lady mannequins with no heads...."
  2:53pm Listener Robert:

I think there'd been a special arrangement (surviving the demise of Upsala Col.) that had those Alan Watts lectures running on WFMU as long as they were.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:54pm coelacanth∅:

Alan Watts was not a waste of time at all. those lectures are for everyone.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:55pm joe:

I'm really glad they made the Children's Dare Socity.
  2:57pm Listener Robert:

It could also be pointed out that Malcolm Homeline gets around on radio a lot these days (e.g. John Bachelor), so the value of his input to JM in the AM has been diluted. Then again, I hear a lot of other experts on subjects make the rounds of programs I like.
Avatar 2:57pm Diane Kamikaze:

Beefheart double 7"s up for grabs, last prize, last push! Love ya folks, show us what yer made of!!

Avatar 2:59pm dgg:

Thanks you guys. I can't remember the last time I won anything. I hope this doenst disqualify me from lsitening to Fabio's show
  2:59pm Listener Robert:

Another example is Dave Emory, whose casettes people could subscribe to...but airing on WFMU & elsewhere got 'em out there.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:00pm Greg from ZONE 5:
