Baby. Happy Happy New Year. Thanks from all of us out here in radio-land for another fantastic year of service to good taste, discovery, and insight. Only a few of us know all the work that goes into every one of your shows. I know that fact doesn't matter to you. It does matter to us. Keep doing what you are doing. It's a public service that is a blessing. Love, Baby..
  11:02am P-9O:

Happy New Year, Michael! Last week's show was a classic, the whole family loved it! Thanks for what you do all year.

Man, every bit of this Above track sparkles - harmonies, lead, drums - the jumpin' intro. Tight.

Good morning, gang! Happy new year to all!

Happy new year, everyone.

Love that New Year's tradition. I am curious. Have the nachos ingredients evolved over the years, Michael, or do you make the same classic kind every year?

Happy New Year from Paris! Thank you, Michael, for a great year in music. Not sure if you're taking requests, but we'd love to hear some fun frenchy tune. It will help us ring in the New Year at -1 celcius....

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:37am Parq:

You got it, man. Your show makes Saturday morning great.

Hold too on the health care advice - not all Canadian pharm outlets are safe!

That said - thanks for the music.

The Yokes? yeah, real good! Happy new year to all. (F- made me think of Andy Kaufman's character in Taxi. When he says "it's so bad it's terrible")

Impeach Trump on day 1
Avatar 11:45am dk50b:

He's gotta commit an impeachable offense after he's sworn in. Give him a week, there should be plenty to chose from. And a bigger reason our health care costs are highest with worst results is lack of any price controls on pharmaceuticals. That's why Canadian prices are so much less for the same meds.
Avatar 11:48am Todd-o-phonic Todd:

But seriously...thanks for another year of amazing radio Michael.
Avatar 11:49am Michael Shelley:

Mika - I agree, in general "too many tests" is correct - but how could you possibly know what test I need - or why I got them?
  11:51am Will:

I can't believe that you're playing this song! I thought of it all last week! And I'm neither a reggae nor a Jimmy Cliff fan. Jeezs, louise! I saw the movie when I was 17 at the Bleecker Street cinema.

Avatar #1 Hit Supporter Marathon 2021 Swag For Life Member 11:53am Pedro G.:

The Michael Shelley Show is the best reason to get up on Saturday morning. And if you don't like what he says, don't listen.

AND Mike's advice saved me $500, passing on the VIP experience for the Brian Wilson show. It would have been an expensive few minutes of awkwardness.

Thanks Mike! And Happy 2017 even if it means watching a hateful orange toddler and his even more dangerous pals attempt to destroy our country. Cesspools don't drain swamps. Resist beginning Jan. 20.
Avatar 11:53am dk50b:

Anh Disc-O-Mat. They were a local chain but Grand Central was on the way home.
And Tower Records in The Village was record nerd mecca.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:55am Parq:

I owed a huge part of my collection to Disc-O-Mat. The one at GST was one of my stops, although I didn't use the station as a commuting point. (Was there one in the Port Authority? If so, I'm sure I shopped there.)

  12:32pm Marc15:

The question is however which Beatles is it a rip off of? It could it be a rip off of the Uruguayan Beatles
Avatar 12:32pm Juke Joint Jonny:

I think they literally wanted to play Don't Bring Me Down, but half forgot how it goes?
  12:32pm Tommy Jack Haynes:

As a music composer ...When it come to the plagiarism issue I'm of the school of thought there are only so many chords .So I tend to cut people a lot of slack
  12:34pm Tommy Jack Haynes:

And I am also of the opinion that the Uruguayan Beatles are severely underrated
  12:36pm andy in berlin:

I get the similarity to Don't Let Me Down but it also sounds to me like the verse part of Suspicion by Elvis
