It sometimes takes a kitsch cover Bob to reinforce how great a song is. The Arbors going psychedelic with their phasing!

Wow what a jazzy opening

@tadpoles: haha! They are cute. When I googled flowerpot men I got a whole page of those puppets. The band members didn't wear costumes but they had nice threads typical of the times.

I thought Lee Dorsey was Terry Adams until I peaked.
  10:37am Superb Owl:

Reverse polarity is what goes into noise-cancelling headphones, so maybe the original recording was silent?
  10:37am Stuart Rose:

Yes, John, it's pretty amazing, and a damn fine gift to us that Bob's been doing this so long and so well.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:40am Hughie Considine:

I first discovered Bob's show in 1986 or so when he played a set full of Alex Chilton, the Meat Puppets, the Necessaries, and a bunch of other things that blew my mind. Still kind of miss the "Anyone Can Whistle" sign-off he retired some years ago, but you can't have everything.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 10:45am WilliamfromDumont:

Shirley Collins - amazing.
