Managed it when I was a younger man but it's more old drunk man style now. You know where the fella is slightly moving his feet to the music, eyes nearly closed, while clutching his bottle but in his mind he's dancing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Sat. 12/10/16 12:49pm listener james from westwood:

@Brian in UK: A cellar temp one would be delightful, thanks.
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sat. 12/10/16 12:52pm Brian in UK:

james coming right up. Belhaven from Stanley's neck of the woods.

Stanley, surprised there is no gin on your rather meager list of supplies. Forty gin distilleries have opened in this country since January.

Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sat. 12/10/16 1:13pm Brian in UK:

KP ever heard of a band called 'Starry Eyed & Laughing'. Yes, they were an English band that had a Byrds habit. Sang original songs in a Byrds style. Saw them once. Good, but nothing like the real thing.
Best live Byrds had to be Roger, Clarence, Gene & Clyde sorry Skip.
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sat. 12/10/16 1:16pm Brian in UK:

Peter Blegvad used to be a cartoonist amongst other things if my memory serves.
Avatar Sat. 12/10/16 1:19pm Bill Mac:

Clyde, hah that's funny, Brian. Im a big fan of the "latter day Byrds," Skip in particular. I spoke to him once just to do so. Nice guy. Also saw him with the New Riders (tremendous show before a huge crowd in Central Park) and the Burritos.
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sat. 12/10/16 1:35pm Brian in UK:

KP yes Tony Poole was the kind of leader. Had the first two albums an age ago.
Someone told me that Gene Parsons might be touring.
Still so sad that Clarence has gone. Only 33 years.
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sat. 12/10/16 1:38pm Brian in UK:

Bill don't suppose that FMU has Panama Red by NRPS in the library. Not heard it in a millenium. KP just tripped the brain cells.

KP was playing Fancy Nancy by Skip & Flip the other day.
Avatar    Sat. 12/10/16 1:40pm Andy in Berlin:

@ Brian - Peter B was indeed a cartoonist, and living in Paris to boot. I actually met him several decades ago, my friend Sheila and I went to the Doll Cinema in Times Square to see a porno triple feature and she brought him along, and he brought along a pint of scotch. Little did we know that one of the features was a live sex act. Thank god for the scotch! :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sat. 12/10/16 1:45pm Stanley:

@Andy - your friend Sheila sounds quite a character.
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sat. 12/10/16 1:46pm Brian in UK:

Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sat. 12/10/16 1:47pm Stanley:

Nik Turnip. Yeah!
More than once caught him on the same bill as Steve Cabbage.
Avatar    Sat. 12/10/16 1:48pm Andy in Berlin:

@ Stanley - she totally fucking is! She had just gotten her certification as a registered nurse and the film we went to see at the Doll Cinema was "Oh, Doctor!"

@ Bill - Peter Blegvad and Andy Partridge do indeed have another album, it's called Orpheus - The Lowdown. There is a great song that I heard Irwin play called Galveston. It's Andy, Peter and a bowling ball!
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sat. 12/10/16 1:52pm Stanley:

Brain - hahaha
Andy - seems she knew what she was in for
Bill - I remember way back I went to a Dylan gig (Blackbush 1978) and in protest of the price of tickets Nik set up his stage over the road and played for free.
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sat. 12/10/16 1:52pm Brian in UK:
