Ridgewood Radio features concert recordings by adventurous bands and experimental musicians and restored archival tapes from private and institutional collections captured at venues large and small across the five boroughs of New York. It is produced by David Weinstein and Outpost Artists Resources operating out of the Ridgewood section of Queens, NY, where you'll find more yellow bricks than on the road to Oz and the cemetery of your choice is never more than a few blocks from home.

Tod with one d. Freaky. Good afternoon, pre-Turkeypeople!
Avatar 2:20pm weinstein:

Tod with one "d" in 1927! How cool is that?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:26pm doctorjazz:

I'm a big Philip Johnston fan, rabid Micorscopic Septet fan (seen them not too long ago, they still got it)!
  2:33pm Dean:

OMG, what a line-up.

Cool, Great band, love this stuff!
Avatar 2:40pm weinstein:

I think Phillip would be thrilled to be compared to Hindemith and that Berlin sound.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:40pm doctorjazz:

I'm at the office, work will have to wait!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:52pm listener james from westwood:

Digging this soundtrack and performance!
Avatar 2:56pm weinstein:

Zorn put a studio version out on his Avant label in the 90s if you want to dig around.
  3:00pm Dean:

Shoot, I think I might have that one. Picked up a bunch of Johnston stuff over the course of a few months a few years ago. Can't remember which ones...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:00pm doctorjazz:

A version of this track? That would be cool (have some Big Touble CD's, shorter tracks if I remember, been a while).

Thanks for that Link, think I'll get me one...
Avatar 3:07pm weinstein:

And the band is amazing. I did not edit this, they really played this straight through in concert at Roulette.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:16pm doctorjazz:

I believe it, sounds like Johnston's music. (probably a bit out of breath at the end of this show...)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:17pm doctorjazz:

That last odd time signature section sounded very Micro-esque.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:28pm doctorjazz:

This Guerilla Toss is cool to, great show!
Avatar 3:47pm weinstein:
