That is a great Everly song! Unique

Feelin' it with this song.
  4:42pm Slaboch:

I did my best...nowhere near as great as all the shows you guys have been doing this week. Best take away from Thursday's Dave the Spazz show is that The Hound shows are archived! Been listening to those all week.
  4:43pm Shannon:

Now that's a segue.
  4:44pm Sissophonic Cheryl:

This is beautiful, sweetheart, thank you.
  4:48pm President Trump:

It's American Dada.
Avatar 4:59pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

The original 'Alley Oop' was one of the earliest records I had & heard in my life
- & I didn't know til like this year it was Kim Fowley.
  5:01pm IFisher:

getting schooled...very poignant...thanks to all
  5:01pm andrew:

this was lux's fave
  5:02pm Bluesman:

These stories continue to bring tears to my eyes. My wife says I complain too much. In honor of the mighty Billy's tenacity and strength throughout his difficult illnesses Im gonna try and suck it up no mattter how big a baby i wanna be!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:05pm Gaylord Fields:

That's why you're a BluesMAN and not a Blues Boy!
  5:09pm Bluesman:

You're right Gaylord!
  5:11pm Bluesman:

Howsabout an early Doug Sahm side to soothe the mourning souls up here in Rockland?!?
  5:13pm Tommy Jack Haynes:

I have never heard anybody honored so much at the station . Good for Billy. People that takes risks and go out of thier way for things they believe in are something to behold and there are many at FMU and the FMU extended family
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:13pm Hugh:

Keep all the Billy stories coming you guys!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:20pm Matt F:

The Presley story reminds me of another piece of classic Billy stage patter, from when the A-Bones shared a bill with the Jim Jones Revue in New Orleans during Ponderosa Stomp week: "People have described the Jim Jones Revue as a cross between the MC5 and Jerry Lee Lewis, which is interesting because the A-Bones are often described as a cross between the DC5 and Jerry Lewis".
Avatar 5:23pm Todd-o-phonic Todd:

@Matt F: Funny and accurate!
  5:24pm Bluesman:

Thanks Todd-O!
  5:27pm Greg from ZONE 5:

Checking in from a tiny house in the woods of Saugerties. Sounding great, fellas.
  5:29pm Ignore Function:

Avatar 5:33pm geezerette:

Thanks for sharing your celebration with us TOPT,Matt & Gaylord. What a party! Your joy brought him alive.
  5:35pm Derek B:

Played one of my Norton favourites by THE GREAT GAYLORD last night at my DJ night in Toronto - SQUAT WITH ME BABY! THE CROWD WENT WILD
  5:35pm andrew:

a real treat hearing the 3 of you together carrying the torch this eve
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:38pm Gaylord Fields:

@Derek B: Thank you kindly for sharing that with me. That resonates with me particularly strongly right now.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:40pm efd:

That was beautiful, Todd. Thanks for sharing it with us.
  5:40pm Sissophonic Cheryl:

Beautiful. Crying.
  5:41pm Dungaroos Kipawah:

At one of the Stomps, I showed Billy a copy of the Toussaint McCall "Nothing Takes the Place of You" Ronn LP that Mr. McCall had just signed. He was mesmerized by the hilarious cover, in which a sad, lonely, coiffured man reads his Dear John kissoff and his now ex looks at him, from the misty diffuse distance, ready to jumpstart her new romance with assuredly a rich Adonis. Both wear powder blue clothes and the whole thing looks like it was art directed by the local yearbook photographer. Billy looked at it, called Miriam over and beamed, "This guy looks just like Teddy Randazzo!" I can't look at it now without thinking of Randazzo, Billy or Miriam.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:41pm dale:

love this del shannon - ola gaylord!
  5:42pm SeanG:

it doesn't get better than Norton Records.
  5:42pm Dungaroos Kipawah:

Fine, fitting words, Todd. You just got the waterworks started again and I didn't think my body had the mositure to produce another tear this week.
Avatar 5:44pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

That was an impressive bit of writing.
I didn't know a thing about the man - altho' obviously impacted by the universally renowned & beloved Norton Records
- but I have been amused & inspired now by him too.
  5:46pm herb.nyc:

Such a lovely eulogy, Todd. My eyes got misty. Long live Billy in our hearts and minds. I wish I met him. (Oops, Todd said "the Above w Matt Clark")
  5:52pm IFisher:

what RevRab said
to me, these records are the sound of freedom and liberation
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:53pm Matt F:

One of the eulogists at Billy's funeral, I forget who, remarked that Norton never put out a bad record. Gaylord was sitting right in front of me and I could see him struggling not to raise his hand...
  5:54pm Thee NoCount:

YES!! I start every gig with Squat with Me Baby.
  5:54pm Mike Sin:

Had to pull the car over and get a comment in... Another great, very touching tribute show.
  5:55pm Mike Flynn:

Thanks Todd. Great show!!! Brought back some great memories.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:56pm efd:

I love how so many Billy Miller stories involve White Castle.
  5:59pm Thee NoCount:

Fantastic show, Todd.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:59pm Matt F:
