Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:20pm Planet Tyler:

Bill Callahan is perfect for a Cohen cover
Avatar 12:23pm cee:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:24pm chris:

hi. thanks for this tribute, Chris M.
  12:26pm Listener142985:

What a legacy to leave the world; a whole bunch of great songs. RIP, and thanks, L. Cohen.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:27pm chris:

i woke one morning early this year, this tune was blasting from my neighbor's apartment. now both she and Leonard are gone from us. 2016 is not getting a holiday card.
  12:28pm Blix:

So, so much better than any of the numerous recent Cohen tributes given up here in Canada.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:29pm Bronwyn Bishop:

I'm sorry about your neighbor, Chris.
  12:32pm BennettCap:

Great rendition. Imaginary Cohen with Chris M.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:33pm chris:

thanks, Bronwyn. <3
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:35pm Rich in Washington:

this Bad Seeds song was sort of my introduction to Leonard Cohen. Before that, to me, he was old records in my then girlfriend's late dad's collection and a couple of Young Ones references.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:40pm Sebastian:

oh I love this Coil track, thank you!
  12:41pm AK:

amazing covers, all so far!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:44pm Rarouse:

Really really great set, thank you imaginary Dj
Avatar 12:47pm Chris M.:

thanks everybody
  12:50pm andrew:

on the young ones, Neil says "no one ever listens to me, i might as well be a Leonard Cohen album."
Swag For Life Member 12:50pm tadpoles:

1961.. the year I remember from my childhood that reads the same upside down. The world is upside down..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:51pm highlowe:

so good
Avatar 12:55pm cee:

oh my god i'm crying
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:58pm Bronwyn Bishop:

tadpoles: I was born in that year.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:59pm Ĩkє:

Just wait until you see how many people are going to die in 2017!

Well, actually, maybe none of us will see that. Except perhaps from above as we float away on the cosmic winds.
  1:00pm Chucktown Dan:

A download show for shure. Thanks for the research to put this one together.
  1:02pm Agent Peter:

If you're not talking then I'm not listening. Just so you know.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:03pm Rarouse:

Who else is there out there that is as widely poetic as Leonard was? I suppose lyrically there's Robert Hunter...Bob Dylan... who else?
Avatar 1:05pm Chris M.:

i would easily rate Cohen head and shoulders above Dylan in every regard
  1:05pm Agent Peter:

Springsteen's first few albums
  1:06pm SeanG:

rarouse--check out vic chestnutt's "little" and "west of rome"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:09pm Rarouse:

I would rate Cohen above all, but as far as musical story-telling, Dylan has to count;) I'll check out early Springsteen, thanks Agent Peter; and thanks Sean G, I've heard only Vic Chestnutt's Salesman n Bernadette.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:09pm Rarouse:

BTW the cover of the Grantchester Meadows album is pretty awesome.
Avatar 1:10pm Polyus:

Chiming in late to say that Pain Teens cover is amazing. What an underappreciated band they were.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:10pm Bronwyn Bishop:

@Chris M: same!!!
Avatar 1:11pm Polyus:

This Pink Floyd box set can be yours for the cool price of $550.
  1:12pm SeanG:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:16pm steveo:

  1:19pm BennettCap:

I'm all in for Cohen, and I'm a big Bob Dylan fan. I think Paul Simon counts up in there too.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:42pm Rarouse:

Exlnt, now it's time to clean.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:49pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Alright....here now and ready for some imaginary music.
Avatar 1:56pm Polyus:

I just can't believe it has been that long for that Killmen record.
Avatar 2:14pm Polyus:

Red Temple Spirits! Their two LPs from back in the late 80s-early 90s got reissued a couple of years ago, but I never see them.
  2:15pm SeanG:

Avatar 2:20pm northguineahills:

  2:28pm Mark R:

Like this Tall Black Guy track too!
  2:32pm Mark R:

Haven't heard Belle & Sebastian in a while. They were sort of a part of my regular soundtrack around the turn of the millennium.
  2:34pm Mark R:

This is a nice set, you're mixing it up really great--things going together I wouldn't think go together. You're like a master chef in there!
Avatar 2:34pm Chris M.:

thanks Mark!
  2:36pm JAMESIE:
