Good morning!
I'm scared!
;-)

Mark R:

You know what's really scary? We're almost out of money here at WFMU. Please pledge, my ghouls and goblins.

Guido from Cologne:

The enduring dysfunction of the pledge dialog and absence of paypal opoption was scary.
The fundraiser needs to beprolonged for a month or so to cover the loss.

... when U2 still was somthing of a "real treat" ...
  3:41am
Mark R:

Guido, I believe we're doing just that--extending the fundraiser a bit until we hit our goal. Today was supposed to be the last day, but I'm pretty sure we're going to keep going a while longer. Thanks to everyone for your patience. It shouldn't be so hard to give us your money right?
  3:41am
Mark R:

I feel the same way about U2, Guido. This has sort of developed into an 80s set, hasn't it?

Yes Beasties! Thanks Mark R.

Mark R:

It's eerily quiet this Halloween up here. Thanks to everyone who's pledged already, and if you can spare a little more, we can really use it. Happy haunting, my little monsters.

StuBot:

Great show! You've managed to break all the rules even for WFMU. Very unique!

anon:

I'm broker than WFMU but grateful it somehow survives like me.
  4:35am
Mark R:

That's the highest compliment you could possibly pay me, StuBot! Hang in there anon, and please keep listening, broke or no! It's nice to know you're out there. Happy Halloween, everybody!

I had to get out of bed and power up my phone (I shut it off to get real sleep) just to come and comment. I love your show. So very eclectic. Love that you have the balls to play U2 and Prufrock? My dad used to play the French horn solo in this piece. love the dylan, sab, beasties

my dad played the French Horn solo on that Strauss piece (not Prufrock). great mix... Sabbath, Dylan, Beasties...awesome you.

You're paying good music. I shouldn't be awake now, but I am. Unless I'm a robot. I'm not totally sure I'm not a robot. I think I'm not, but that may be an illusion. Isn't everything, though? I don't know.

You know who lives at 1313 Mockingbird Lane, right?

Looking forward to handing out candy tonight, while cackling in a menacing manner.

The new Bob Weir album is very good.

Mark R:

Thanks for your nice comments everyone. Stubot, that's pretty cool that your dad played on that piece. Simon, I was actually wondering where you've been lately. Welcome back from wherever you were.

Mark R:

We have the new Bob Weir album in the library, but I haven't had a chance to check it out yet!

The guitar on Wolf Mann seems to be ahead of it's time.
Is it 1950ies or 60ies already?
fave track!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:05am

The Cramps played a ton of Halloween shows in SF -- the Dead were more of a New Year's Eve band.
