Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:23pm Parq:

I am *so* glad I made it back in time for Eddie Murray.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:28pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Husband or brother or father of Anne Murray, I wonder?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:29pm AnAnonymousParty:

It's almost like she's got him under her thumb.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:32pm Michael 98145:

( i'm not what they believe; if they find out, they will leave )
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:36pm Mike East:

singing "something in the way she moves" over the guitar riff part is hilarious to me for some reason
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:36pm Michael:

Certainly not Bob Sinatra.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:37pm Irwin:

Like when Gary snaps his fingers.
  3:37pm Will:

Ooh, I see there a Microdisney 12" that has one my favorite songs ever on it, "Harmony Time." I will sit right there and hope that it plays.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:37pm Parq:

How did Gary get this recorded without the mike picking up any of the shower water?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:37pm Fuzzy:

Billy Murray is that you?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:38pm AnAnonymousParty:

Is this someone impersonating Joe Piscopo impersonating Frank Sinatra? It's uncanny.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:38pm rsj:

love to joe piscopo reference
reall ymakes me appreciate this tune, like all good covers do do
Avatar 3:38pm V Priceless:

record of the year, this
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:39pm Michael 98145:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:40pm Webhamster Henry:

Here's a real Microdisney, from the Parent Trap, featuring two micro Hayley Millses.
Avatar 3:49pm Dominick:

Very nice
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:55pm AnAnonymousParty:

I thought it was the soundtrack from some old black-n-white Ice Follies newsreel or something.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:55pm crateslinger:

Has anybody else been exposed to the wqxr fund raiser these last two weeks? They're relentless. I think all the listeners must be unable to change the station. Life support joke, that.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:57pm crateslinger:

raising money hand over fist tho...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:00pm crateslinger:

Am I the only New Yorker here?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:03pm Ken From Hyde Park:

I catch WQXR on their upstate transmitter W279AJ 103.7 FM occasionally. Maybe 15 minutes at a time while driving across town.
  4:03pm Polyus:

Geez, you wouldn't know this guy was a Blockhead or anything.
  4:07pm jan:

Glad that 'Glad to Know you" is over... must have been the disco mix...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:07pm Alison Porchnik:

I would love to hear Calypso for Adam and Steve, if you have it handy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:09pm Alison Porchnik:

Imagine a film this could have been a soundtrack for.
Avatar 4:09pm geezerette:

Upper Westside Story.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:10pm Irwin:

Amazing that this was a SINGLE.
Avatar 4:10pm Sem Chumbo:

Caper music.
Avatar 4:13pm V Priceless:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:13pm Alison Porchnik:

@crateslinger - When I'm too lazy to change the channel that campaign is pure torture in the evenings. The ad nauseum peddling/playing of those best of the opera and classics premiums are certainly one way to kill off an audience already on life support.
  4:22pm GeorgeSimian:

Love it when the old calypso comes on
Avatar 4:30pm wearpants:

I'm gonna go smoke a bowl
  4:31pm Dean:

"New Jersey ... is high...!"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:31pm crateslinger:

@Alison - I did actually laugh out loud reading that. Just goes to show who is actually listening. It's like watching one of those weird tv networks you can still pick up with an antenna.
Avatar 4:32pm Jeff:

I love it when announcer-voiced guys say veg-et-a-bles.
  4:32pm Marc15:

What's wrong with this?
  4:34pm rw:

I'm off to the post office. I'll be right back.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:35pm crateslinger:

Don't forget stamps!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:35pm Alison Porchnik:

Avatar 4:35pm geezerette:

I'm fascinated by announcers whose off air voices don't change when they leave the studio.

He's probably one of them.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:35pm Webhamster Henry:

Do you have Travelling Through South Dakota?
  4:37pm Dean:

Heh heh, geezerette. I have this recurring dread that I'll be at a party or some public event where I'm introduced to the person who voices phone support systems: "For sales, press 3..."
Avatar 4:37pm geezerette:

Surreal from first note.
Avatar 4:39pm geezerette:

haha, That would be so weird. I mean, you can't laugh,it's rude, but I'd want to.
  4:43pm Dean:

Well, it would be weird to meet Mark E Smith in person, too.
Avatar 4:43pm geezerette:

"No Bulbs" is great. :)
  4:45pm BennettCap:

I ♡ Irwin.
Avatar 4:46pm geezerette:

It CAN be weird to meet ANYONE in person! :D

Can't believe I haven't aired this before -- at least not since we launched online playlists 16 years ago.
Avatar 4:51pm geezerette:

It's like if Charles Manson could really sing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:53pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...if he gets Royalties - it's a crime against The People...& if you played the 7" backwards - is that counter-revolutionary?...
Avatar 4:53pm geezerette:

Dylan's DARK side. The one even darker than the usual one.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:53pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Did 'Accidental Slip...' sound like 'Powerhouse' (Raymond Scott/Carl Stalling) ?
Avatar 4:54pm geezerette:

RevRab, good one!!! :D
Avatar 4:56pm geezerette:

It sounded familiar to me too, probably have heard it before but can't place context.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:02pm Kat in Chicago:

"Disappeared", eh?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:13pm pantz:

I don't care for Stop and Go ever since they got rid of Free Slushie Sunday.

Betty Hutton FTW.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:50pm Parq:

Avatar 5:50pm geezerette:

Betty Hutton scares me.
