  3:08pm Dean:

Whoops. Add another sonatas and partitas recording to the list. I'm a fan of Gidon Kremer's ECM outing. Can't get enough of these. (I think it's Numata.)
Avatar 4:10pm Jesse K:

Hi Kurt,
You're playing all the songs I was going to play, what am I supposed to do now?
Avatar 4:12pm Kurt Gottschalk:

Avatar 4:15pm northguineahills:

loving 86F/30C autumn day here. Dying trying to get a giant root ball from a tree that fell during Mathew. I don't have manual labor hands! Beer break!
Avatar 4:16pm Jesse K:

Maybe I can play the last three hours of your show backwards to make a sort of radio palindrome?

Haven't done heavy manual labor since I did construction on the Upper West Side 13 years ago in Grad School.
Avatar 4:32pm Jeff:

Did I ever tell you about the time I went to a Teresa Brewer concert in early High School because she was doing the show at our school?

I had no idea at the time who she was, but she sang about a nickelodeon and inserting nickels therein.
Avatar 4:32pm Kurt Gottschalk:

... and i take it now you are, ngh?
Avatar 4:32pm Kurt Gottschalk:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:36pm Jeff Golick:

OK, done to day w/ the tree root structure. Tomorrow I take the chainsaw to it. (Yeah, been doing manual labor helping my parents clean up after Mathew the last 1+weeks. Most I got done the weekend before last, but the fallen tree was something that I needed help w/.

Avatar 6:41pm Kurt Gottschalk:

  6:44pm Dean:

When you...I mean, when he writes that "Diamond Curtain Wall marks Braxton's first use of electronics," he means Braxton's first incorporation of electronics into his compositions? There's the old stuff with Teitelbaum, duets, for instance.
Avatar 6:49pm Kurt Gottschalk:

right - his own personal use, not the first time he was ever around them.
Avatar 6:53pm northguineahills:

Thanks Kurt!
Avatar 6:54pm Kurt Gottschalk:
