Sat. 10/8/16 9:07am MD:
Good Morning World...Hello Bob... and of course....all the Bobbies!
Sat. 10/8/16 9:18am David in ATL from NJ:
This is a great Fagan/Becker track, Bob. Thanks for the spin. I always like to hear these pre-SDan or alternate SDan tracks.
Sat. 10/8/16 9:18am Stuart Rose:
Welcome back, Bob.
A musically perfect Saturday morning - you deliver it.
Sat. 10/8/16 9:46am 1whoknewcthulhu:
Thanks for solo Florence Ballard, Bob. So rare to hear her independent of The Supremes.
Sat. 10/8/16 9:48am Stuart Rose:
Miss Ballard had a very pleasing voice and could really read a lyric. Too bad she was crushed by Diana Ross's monster ego.
Sat. 10/8/16 9:50am RHenderson:
Terrific 1st set, Bob. Perfect soundtrack for dawn on a Californian Saturday.
One thing about 'Farewell Aldebaran,' as regards its initial disappearance: even when hearing tracks on 2 different 'Zapped' samplers, it was apparent then that no 2 of its tracks sounded like one another. Not just for having 2 distinctive vocalists in Henske
Sat. 10/8/16 10:01am RHenderson:
[cont'd] Yester, but it sounded as though each track came from a different musical genre. A lot to ask even of adventurous listeners (read: stoners) of the Bizzare/Straight labels run by Messrs. Zappa
Sat. 10/8/16 10:19am joechrismorris:
Clarence White - strictly for the Byrds!
Sat. 10/8/16 10:20am Stuart Rose:
Interesting point, RH.
It seems as if they made the album unmarketable.
Sat. 10/8/16 10:23am WilliamfromDumont:
Love Bradley's Barn!!
Sat. 10/8/16 10:36am WilliamfromDumont:
"Triangle" track by track would be excellent.
Sat. 10/8/16 10:39am joechrismorris:
this reminds me of Unhalfbrickling
Sat. 10/8/16 10:45am WilliamfromDumont:
Bob, whenever you play Leroy Anderson I think of Van Dyke Parks.
Sat. 10/8/16 10:45am Dennis Diken:
great to hear Leroy Anderson!
Sat. 10/8/16 10:50am annie:
tickled ivories... damn...
Sat. 10/8/16 10:55am Dean:
Steeleye Span's "Ragdoll" is pretty faithful to this one.
