Werk the shirt, Pi!

@Liz: Lucas sends his greetings. He has not been able to contribute financially because he takes his starving artist calling seriously, but his love for your show remains strong
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:14pm Liz Berg:

Aww, best to Lucas!

Hi, Liz and residents of Bergland!
Avatar 12:23pm Whooda:

Interesting variety of band covers of SAM including Hank Williams Jr. , The Pagans, The Toasters, Bruce Willis...
Avatar 12:25pm herb.nyc:

ahhhh, thanks for reminder to buy this YLT. (pssst, maybe cd should be avail at Monty Hall merch table?)
Avatar 12:26pm ᏠЄႶႶỊѺµЄ:

So funny, I just downloaded White Lines yesterday! Great cover.
Happily floating on the Berg downstream with all the other penguin listeners.
Avatar 12:28pm fred:

@Liz: I told Benjamin Bret to send his new CD to Brian, even though you're the one who played him. Was that the right move?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:31pm Liz Berg:

@fred: perfect! Always best to send new music to Brian's attention.
  12:37pm Polyus:

Guerilla Toss is playing in my neighborhood tonight, should I go? I went out last night, two nights in a row could kill a person my age.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:40pm Liz Berg:

Push it to the limit, Polyus! You ain't old unless you act old.
Avatar 12:41pm fred:

@Polyus: Health comes first but I really enjoyed seeing them two years ago. Not experimental, but well done
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:47pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Pro tip for touring bands: Please schedule matinee shows for us olds.
Avatar 12:49pm fred:

touring bands: please disregard whatever Old Codger Ken says
Avatar 12:58pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

bit of a codger here, down with the earlies.
  12:59pm JakeGould:

  12:59pm Polyus:

Luckily, shows at this venue have to be over by midnight, so I may be able to rally. I like the stuff I have heard from them on WFMU.
Avatar 12:59pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

and possibly better than matinee shows, i'd dig a manatee show now & then. So mellow & floaty...
Avatar 1:03pm ᏠЄႶႶỊѺµЄ:

Manatees are my spirit animal. If only I could come back as a manatee, spending my life floating in hot springs...
Avatar 1:04pm ᏠЄႶႶỊѺµЄ:

I'm sure everyone has seen this but I feel compelled to share.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:06pm steveo:

I saw Sleater-Kinney in the afternoon at Irving Plaza many years ago. It was weird coming out into the bright daylight.
Avatar 1:07pm fred:

@RTD: I miss the Harsh Noise Wall festival. But merging that with a manatee show would be so mind-blowing. It has to happen
Avatar 1:13pm ᏠЄႶႶỊѺµЄ:

Sea World should set all the orcas free and replace them with manatees. See how far they get trying to get them to jump through hoops.
Avatar 1:15pm Whooda:

@ᏠЄႶႶỊѺµЄ That wouldn't be cruel enough for such a kind beast. They could saddle them though and play games of water polo with spurs.
Avatar 1:19pm Chris from DC:

Plan 9!
Avatar 1:19pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

our dog very much resembled a manatee at 6 weeks ... it's the boxer face, etc... resemblance was very weird.
  1:21pm Polyus:

Sometimes I yell this at passers-by on the street.
Avatar 1:25pm fred:

@steveo: I once saw S-K on a wooden boat and they were not comfortable at all. They were much more at ease in corporate settings, which is so wrong. I didn't see them when they got started though
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:26pm Bronwyn Bishop:

I liked the Yo La Tengo
Avatar 1:28pm fred:

@RTD: was all that talk about punching yourself innaface just manatee envy?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:31pm Michael 98145:

i tend to not be comfortable on wooden boats, myself
Avatar 1:32pm fred:

Gotta go: Bill Orcutt/Okkyung Lee/Tom Carter show caliing
Avatar 1:33pm ᏠЄႶႶỊѺµЄ:

@Whooda: you have a point there, but I think making manatees jump through hoops is plenty cruel enough for them!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:35pm Liz Berg:

Last time I saw S-K, it was to record them at the Primavera Sound fest last year... they played on the largest stage in front of a sea of humanity (not manatees), sounded great and seemed like they were lovin' it.
Avatar 1:48pm βrian:

The Orange Manatee was trying to jump through hoops last night, without much luck.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:49pm Michael 98145:

( i don't think i'll eat those strawberries, thank you .... )
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:51pm Ike:

Hello all. You may think that free office peanut M&Ms are a blessing. I am here to assure you that they are a curse. One must exert willpower at all times! ALL TIMES ARRRRRRGHHHH [slowly transforms into Blob Ike, vaguely resembling something out of "Akira"]

Avatar 2:15pm Chris M.:

the russian guys at the liquor store were eating some sort of dried fish and drinking beer. i asked what it was and he gave me a piece. it was like fish jerky coated in salt. he forgot to give me something to drink. that was a long 2 minute walk home! #salt #hotday
Avatar 2:16pm Chris M.:

apparently this is it: en.wikipedia.org...

enjoying this rock music, Liz!
  2:17pm Polyus:

I wonder if Negative One have a miniature skinhead following that causes trouble at shows?
  2:19pm el BO-bO:

Love this. Generacion Suicida. They sound just like Paralisis Permanente. Awesome. Nobody else plays this music, not even in Spain. FMU rules!

Oh, dear. Another one of those band names without letters and the clicky star doesn't show up. Might need some Kenzo intervention for the -> ^ -> band.
