good morning, sorry i'm late...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:44am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...w/ the opening figure of 'Before You Go', I wondered if Richard Shindell might be in line to try & sue Led Zeppelin...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:46am Jeffrey Davison:

Yeah! I definitely thought Led Zep too!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:57am annie:

i think there was a flying griffen in "Jason and the Argonauts"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:00am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

@annie: Harryhausen had a Griffin in 'Golden Voyage of Sinbad' - but did not feature it in flight. Said the Monster Culture kid...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:03am annie:

thanks for that, all those stop-motion films have congealed into one in my mind. we loved 'em as kids.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:04am annie:

a quick googl shows images of flying griffens.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:07am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...when the Balrog took Gandalf down, he somehow did not use his wings...monsters & wings are a peculiar thing...
Avatar 7:09am Hams:

supposedly there are also griffins without wings.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:09am annie:

wait, what about the part of 7 Voyages(?) where they were kept in cages, what was that creature? it was the one with the blind man
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:09am annie:

rats, now i have to see them all again and take noted this time
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:14am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

It's finally Saturday. Hello Jeffrey and listeners everywhere
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:27am annie:

hi duke!!
Avatar 7:31am duke:

Hi Annie. I also loved those old Harryhausen films. My son and his friends used to try and make stop-action films but didn't have the patience so they ended up with a film of kids pulsing toy dinosaurs around.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:34am annie:

yeah, my son did, too. he also got frustratd and made flip-books instead. some of his hand-made characters were creative, though.i still have a couple after 20 some-odd years. it's fascinating to watch that creative genius emerge.
Avatar 7:37am duke:

My son was also into flip-books in a big way at certain age. He would download cartoons, print parts frame by frame to make a flip-book
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:42am annie:

wow! i often wonder what would develop if we foster those talents instead of severe regimented education. i miss the days of vocational education. ... but.. my son did have a chance to go to an extra-curricular class, "Film for Production", which was really just a class on how to sell stuff. did not get his creative juices going at all, but he never fit into a mold anyway.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:42am annie:

we saved all his flip-books, too.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:43am annie:

some day, when he's famous they'll be worth a few bucks
Avatar 7:47am duke:

we've been holding onto those flip-books. Haven't seen dime one. :-)
  7:57am Davefromknoxville:

I am really enjoying the show this morning
  7:57am Tommy Lee:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:09am Dave in Vermont:

thanks for a great Saturday morning!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:10am annie:

duke, what does you son do now? hi dave-r-mont!
Avatar 8:23am duke:

@annie Right now, he's looking for a better paying gig. He has some disabilities so it makes it tough for him. He' does video production for local musicians
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:28am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

DJ JD - Thank You so much for curating & presenting for us & our Sat. A.M.s.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:29am annie:

that's a great talent to have. always a little money in that, but nothing consistent. my son got lucky enough to get a gig edting one of Dead Prez's videos, never released, but very good. i hope yours gets some credit, it may pay off.
Avatar 8:32am duke:

Gotta run for a little bit. Thanks for the great show (as always) Jeffrey
Avatar 8:49am TDK60:
