British Exotica!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:07am Guido from Cologne:

Stanley Black in the 60ies was on EMI-Columbia if I remember right ... as far as the easy listening stuff is concerned. Usually nice cover artwork.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:07am Dave in Vermont:

surely the yips could only have achieved the ability for interstellar travel by having a proletariat to work endlessly for little reward except the pittance of a meeaningless holiday

Swag For Life Member 10:26am tadpoles:

The Raincoats to Joni - the great power of the free-form dj!
Avatar 10:27am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Yeah - it's an interesting thing to have someone express their personality by compiling & sequencing tracks by Artists that have nothing to do w/ them.
  10:28am herb.nyc:

More eggplant, plz
Avatar 10:29am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

  10:31am rigid:

you are playing a lot of songs in a row that I enjoy!
Avatar 10:31am FernandoBelmondo:

I haven't listened to those Michele shows from 2012. But from this set it's clear, she has to have a weekly music show. PLEASE!
Avatar 10:31am SheWolf:

Same. Great set.
  10:34am melinda:

The Source Family!
  10:34am herb.nyc:

I've told this (sorta) Roky E story a lot, here goes- John Wesley Harding played Maxwell's to support his Name Above Title cd. He also had "if you have ghosts" on a Roky tribute. In middle of show, he does the song. The subdued quiet throughout the set young woman in front of me unleashes a big howl. I can never forget that.
Avatar 10:36am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

NewHampshuh represent! The Shaggs are the sound of a child's drawing...
  10:36am melinda:

What kind of howl was it herb?
Avatar 10:39am Sem Chumbo:

Shagg-o-licious. Thx., JMc
Avatar 10:44am Joe McG:

You bet, Sem. Michele's going to DJ up to 11 and then we're going to do something silly.
  10:46am herb.nyc:

What kind of howl, melinda? I can't remember! Tho it has caused hair to grow on my fingernails. (Hickory Wind makes me think of Clay Pigeon and Rip Torn and...)
Avatar 10:46am Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Hope Sandoval - swoon...
  10:48am WadeT:

please DJ the rest of my days...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:48am Smilty69:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:58am Goyim in the AM:

Avatar 11:00am Joe McG:

  11:06am Joe stalvey:

Great show, Joe & Michele! Happy Labor Day!
  11:12am SeanG:

I like this idea
  11:13am melinda:

I like the idea of DJs and audience discovering the music simultaneously.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:14am Brian in UK:

You have to ask yourselves one thing, why have these records been sitting on the library shelves unplayed?
Avatar 11:16am Joe McG:

@Brian: Ha ha ha! Apparently someone played Danceable Weird Shit on FMU before!
  11:19am Mido:

Avatar 11:30am djsheilab:

@Joe McG Lucky lucky lucky me! Thanks Joe + Michele :)
Avatar 11:30am Joe McG:

@Rich: Exactly what I was thinking. Awful! Hi, Wendy!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:30am Brian in UK:

Record labels are as obscure as the bands.
Avatar 11:30am djsheilab:

That Fowler Brothers fade! Were you both like...."Er......no!" Agree with @rich!
