I saw Tull open for Blood Sweat & Tears early on at Fillmore East. Probably their first US tour. Pretty impressive performance.
  9:32pm
JakeGould:

@coelacanth: Well you can mail order anything nowadays, so hey.
  9:35pm

Speaking of Tull, I saw Fairport open for Tull long ago. Dave Pegg played bass for both bands.
Avatar 9:38pm

Ah, yeah, that's right about Dave Pegg. Last I saw Tull was maaaaany years ago.

@George: Ah, thanks. Yeah, we're playing there again, but I can't talk about it here.

I don't believe Kooper ever toured with BST. They morphed into that David Clayton Thomas Spinning Wheel band. Not nearly as creative as Koop's band.

Girls On Grass, featuring Mr Dave Mandl on bass, are appearing in Maplewood, NJ 10/14 at Rent Party. They're opening for Jesse Malin. Rent Party is a hunger fund raiser that features great bands for a great cause. I saw Girls on Grass last time they were there. Extra twangy rock n' roll. Jesse does a great show too. C'mon down!
