Hi Sam! Exciting show!

Hi Melinda! Ike!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:17pm Sam Segal:

@G, @Ike, welcome to you both!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:22pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Boptised in the Name of Rudolph Van G. Only then may I be worthy...
Avatar 9:26pm geezerette:

Man, I am swooning.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:27pm Sam Segal:

For what its worth, you've always been worthy in my eyes, @Rev.
Avatar 9:37pm geezerette:

Was going to say this music brings a whole world with it, but all music does that.

Still, I like the particular piece of world this music brings.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:41pm Sam Segal:

Wow, well said, @G. I think what's special about RVG is how he made the transmission of that world into this one so seamless.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:42pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Oh - Jazz is all about that geezerette - absolutely.
I know most Blue Note sides (which these aren't) were two tracks w/ no remixing: recorded Live & boom !? Thinking of perspective on the achievement of these musicians & Rudy Van Gelders' engineering of an incomprehensible amount of priceless treasure...
Avatar 9:43pm geezerette:

Absolutely Sam!
Avatar 9:45pm geezerette:

RevRab, Yes!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:45pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...altho' Tom Dowd @ Atlantic is famous for having eight tracks before anyone. In a doc about him - iirc - he talks about inventing faders: before that, you'd have to intuit when to turn rotary knobs up or down as Jazz players improvised!...
Avatar 9:56pm geezerette:

It's a wild horse!!! :D Steppin'!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:58pm Sam Segal:

Thanks for bearing with her while she bucks, @G.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:08pm Sam Segal:

Thank you for humoring my Jungle phase, @Ike!

Avatar 10:26pm coelacanth:

good to be riding on the ponyless express
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:33pm Doug Schulkind:

Sam Segal. He is rocking the house. He very much is.
Avatar 10:34pm geezerette:

Radio Roller Coaster! "Coney Island of the Mind".
Avatar 10:35pm geezerette:

Like Zappa doing Japanese folksongs.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:38pm melinda:

This is fun.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:38pm Sam Segal:

Ahoy, Greetings, and Good Evening, @Doug!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:39pm Sam Segal:

That whole Jake Tobin record is a mind-splitter, @G. Highly recommend it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:40pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

NuttySet !
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:11pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

This is not cloying banjo.
Avatar 11:12pm coelacanth:

this is fetching banjo
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:13pm melinda:

I like that distinction.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:14pm Sam Segal:

Glad we're all in the mood for some fetching banjo!
Avatar 11:14pm northguineahills:

Loves me some Sandy Bull!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:17pm melinda:

How's the packing/moving process going, ngh?
Avatar 11:18pm geezerette:

Almost made it sound like hammered dulcimer.
Avatar 11:21pm coelacanth:

if anyone else here is gold-starring any songs, are you too having disappearing gold issues?
...it happened earlier with a track; then after 2-3 tries it stuck.
now it's happening with little Maggie. it disappears every 30 seconds - at 10 then at 40 seconds past the minute... i click it again, it disappears. i've probably clicked it 15-20X.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:22pm Sam Segal:

That's quite strange, @coelacanth...I'll report it to the proper authorities
Avatar 11:25pm coelacanth:

it started staying while i typed that post but - pretty odd...
Avatar 11:28pm coelacanth:

( -maybe it's part of the curse of the particular little Maggie that once was part of my life.)
Avatar 11:29pm coelacanth:

(...it's happening with snakeoil too.)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:29pm melinda:

That's it, coelecanth. Cursed.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:30pm melinda:

My Little Maggie star is holding steady.
Avatar 11:32pm coelacanth:

ha! i decided to stop trying after 4 tries... now the gold just reappeared "on it's own"!
Avatar 11:34pm coelacanth:

...also in both cases, when i clicked it it didn't show that anyone else had favorited it.
...quite strange.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:46pm melinda:

I think something like that happened to me before, actually.
Avatar 11:54pm geezerette:

Have either of you clicked and seen the star rotate until you click it again, but it never goes yellow?
Avatar 11:56pm coelacanth:

i have,g. i've found that if i refresh the page it will then stick.
Avatar 11:59pm geezerette:

Incredible show Sam!

Thanks for tip coel!
Avatar 12:01am coelacanth:

oh it's closing time already. i guess i'll go look for my horse.
Thanks Sam!
good night kemosabes
