I never miscue a record. I am punctual, well-prepared, and dislike clutter. Outgoing and helpful, I'm always appropriately dressed. I do not behave erratically and have excellent penmanship. My CD's never skip, and I am in good health. I like all the notes, in any order.

Ok forum-what is your best Thrift Store find in terms of LP records?
Avatar 12:25pm Cecile:

AC/DC bootlegs sold by Zombie Bon Scott at his own gravesite. ;)
Avatar 12:26pm Cecile:

they were free because he had no use for money at the time.
Avatar 12:31pm Cecile:

I found a copy of General Johnson's (singer for Chairmen of the Board) solo album, which has three great songs on it for $.25 at a used store. It was his sole record on Arista.
  12:31pm nic:

love this !!!

Avatar 12:35pm Cecile:

you didn't have to punch yourself inna face at all this week, did you Rev?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:37pm fred:

I once saw ID M Theft Able perform with Audrey Chen. Good times
Avatar 12:39pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Cecile: Missing that Treehouse-label Cows track yesterday (chris m.) was a close call. Face was in certain danger.
Avatar 12:40pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Fred: Live IDMTheftAble is a can't-miss, 600% of the time. Marvelous stuff.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:45pm sphere:

Back in the mid-90s, I tried to get into a Cows pit but got smacked in the mouth with an elblow. that ended that.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:46pm steve:

saw Id M play drips of water of a piece of glass, squeaking them along with his fingers. good times.
Avatar 12:48pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

@sphere: Cows = still favorite live band ever. I avoided the pit nastiness by always being way up front, waiting for the inevitable shannon-scream in the face. Life-changing.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:50pm fred:

I hated Anne-James Chaton the first time I saw him, but by now I absolutely love what he does
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:52pm steve:

dam, i'm jealous Rev
Avatar 1:02pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

called away for mtg... so clearly, now is the time to punch self innaface. In anticipation of missing Excellent Audio.

Avatar 1:08pm Chris from DC:

I seriously regret never seeing Cows.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:12pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Happy Independence Day, Burkina Faso (1960).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:18pm sphere:

it was an awesome show. the club (Black Cat) was almost empty, too.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:19pm foofs:

This is strikingly like The Fall's 'Mollusc in Tyrol'.
Avatar 1:27pm Chris from DC:

Sphere: the old Black Cat?
Avatar 1:33pm βrian:

Good ambient music for the over-the-road way commuter bus.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:42pm Ken From Hyde Park:

@βrian - You mean this here thing? www.vox.com...
Avatar 1:43pm Cecile:

damn, that's kind of insane but cool
Avatar 1:46pm Bryce:

no fucking way, it HAPPENED??
Avatar 1:48pm Bryce:

been seeing renderings of those things forever. jeez, i would hate to be driving while one of those things overtakes from behind.
Avatar 1:54pm Chris from DC:

Wish we had that instead of the Metro.
Avatar 1:55pm βrian:

Yes, that's the beast. The bow-legged bus.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:55pm Michael 98145:

it would probably drive the collision warning monitors nuts, too
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:06pm sphere:

@ Chris - yep, the old Black Cat.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:09pm Michael 98145:

Soothing. I needed this set.
Avatar 2:11pm Whosondephone:

Yes. But you've been playing awesome music.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:16pm steve:

i'll never understand why someone doesn't start making cheap clones of Buchla modules... doesn't like everyone want those Charles Cohen sounds?!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:17pm Mister Dobalina:

Bryce, you play some of the best, bleeps, squeaks, pops, glitches and just in general cool sounds, EVER!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:18pm sphere:

totally agree Mr. Dobalina. this show puts the AWE in awesome.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:20pm єki:

Y'all beat me to it. I was just about to post a link to the WaPo article on the awesome Chinese traffic-stradding "bus", but that Vox article is better.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:27pm Mister Dobalina:

Like Like LIke --- Literally. Ugggh.
  2:27pm chicken:

Chris from DC, I just moved to DuPont, know of any good music venues I should check out??
Avatar 2:28pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:28pm Mick:

OK, I'm a little freaked out by the road-straddling Giant Bus turning out to be a real thing (well, almost), but intrigued... Thanks for the article Ken!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:28pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Also, look out for The Big Bus: youtu.be...
Avatar 2:29pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

..that is, I come back from meeting and there's six months' worth of Bryce playlist on today's Bryce playlist. Also, missing the Craig Leon is worthy of some self-abuse about the face.
Avatar 2:30pm Bryce:

you should see last week's. my poor fingers
Avatar 2:32pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

a single umlaut-a is three keystrokes right there.

This Avarus track is amazing.
Avatar 2:37pm Bryce:

Avatar 2:37pm mark r:

Hey Bryce, did you hear Frank's mash-up of your Station ID played backwards on his show Monday? If not, check the playlist/archives, you might get a kick out of it. Just the mere fact that someone would go to so much trouble...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:38pm steve:

wow, amazing track here
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:38pm Greg from ZONE 5:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:39pm 1ke:

Does anyone know what Avarus is sampling here? Something Peruvian? Bolivian? I've heard it somewhere before. I'm sure of it! Maybe.
Avatar 2:41pm Bryce:

mark, i didn't! i'll check it out :)
Avatar 2:43pm Chris from DC:

Wow, this is nice.
Avatar 2:44pm Bryce:

greg, i'm just trying to play some piano jazz over here. don't know why that's so weird
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:45pm Greg from ZONE 5:

Avatar 2:48pm Bryce:

damn self-transforming machine elves keep getting into all the pianos
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:50pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Do they make underwater headphones? This would be good snorkeling music.
Avatar 2:50pm Sem Chumbo:

Outdid yourself today, Bryce.
And the bar was plenty high. Thanks.
Avatar 2:51pm Rev. Turnip Druid:

If you start with the jeweled, self-dribbling basketballs again...
Avatar 2:52pm βrian:

Now the munchkins can't get a drink. They insist you lower the bar.
Avatar 2:53pm Cecile:

whose voice does that remind me of?
Avatar 2:54pm Sem Chumbo:

The munchkins can always get a short beer.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:54pm chris:

this is pretty close to musical bliss... drifting off into droney land.... thanks, Bryce!
Avatar 2:55pm Bryce:

oh, i locked the basketballs away in the neon moiré stellated polyhedral steamer trunk.

not letting THEM ruin my piano jazz again.
Avatar 2:55pm βrian:

@Sem: What we call a shell, in the midwest.
Avatar 2:55pm Bryce:

thanks, everyone! have delightful weeks! :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:56pm Michael 98145:

Thank you, DJ Bryce
Avatar 2:56pm βrian:

Friday already? Here comes the weakened.
Avatar 2:57pm Chris from DC:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:57pm єki:

Thanks Bryyyyyyyyce!
Avatar 2:58pm Sem Chumbo:

@Brian: a keen student of regional folkways, I am. I am in no small way appreciative.
Avatar 3:00pm βrian:

Sometimes ya just need a shot and a shell. Then you're good.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:02pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Was the last track from the Three Lobed Recordings label?
