Thanks feels good to be in the studio!
Avatar    Sun. 7/3/16 3:25am mariano:

This is like the bubble when someone tries to escape on The Prisoner...
Avatar Sun. 7/3/16 3:27am Jherweg:

it sounds like this is playing at the wrong speed but I swear it's not.
Avatar    Sun. 7/3/16 3:30am mariano:

Sounds find to me, don't feel wounded at all ;)
  Sun. 7/3/16 3:40am Veronica:

Welcome back...I met George Kuchar once! Nice guy. Yeah, his films are funny.
Avatar Sun. 7/3/16 3:40am Mary Wing:

Robert Carradine?
Avatar    Sun. 7/3/16 3:41am mariano:

Robert Carradine is indeed one of the famous brothers, if you're talking about the one from Revenge of the Nerds...
Avatar Sun. 7/3/16 3:42am Mary Wing:

IMDB says "Son of John Carradine, younger half-brother of David Carradine, Bruce Carradine and Michael Bowen. Younger brother of Keith Carradine and Chris Carradine."
  Sun. 7/3/16 3:43am Veronica:

Damn, a lot of talented Carradines...
  Sun. 7/3/16 3:45am Mike tp:

The arise tune will be my signal to sleep. Beautiful choice Jonathan
Avatar    Sun. 7/3/16 3:45am mariano:

There's a cool movie by Walter Hill, his follow-up to The Warriors, called The Long Riders, about the James, Younger, and Miller gangs in the old West, with actual brothers playing the brothers: Stacy and Frank Keach as Jesse and Frank James, a bunch of Carradines, including Robert, as the Youngers, Dennis and Randy Quaid as the Millers, and Christopher Guest and his brother Nicholas as the Fords, who killed Jesse James.
Avatar Sun. 7/3/16 3:47am Jherweg:

That sounds right up my alley! Speaking of the Warriors someone needs to do a modern re make of that Movie ASAP!!
  Sun. 7/3/16 3:48am Kafuka:

Bedroom cassette masters are great. I think I'll do this super download for 30 euros
  Sun. 7/3/16 3:49am Veronica:

Yeah, I saw The Long Riders! Great movie. I just looked it up on Wikipedia to refresh my memory. I'd forgotten it has a Ry Cooder soundtrack (four years before his soundtrack for Wim Wenders' Paris, Texas).
Avatar Sun. 7/3/16 3:50am Jherweg:

Ohh that does sound good!!!
Avatar    Sun. 7/3/16 3:55am mariano:

@JHerweg: was just joking about a Warriors remake with some friends, about what the gangs would be called: the Bushwick Hipsters, the Midtown Douchebros, etc. Some real potential there!
Avatar Sun. 7/3/16 3:56am Jherweg:

The Cobble Hill 1 percenters!
Avatar    Sun. 7/3/16 3:57am mariano:

Hah, totally!
Avatar Sun. 7/3/16 3:58am Jherweg:

The Park slope Gentrifiers.
  Sun. 7/3/16 4:00am Veronica:

Warriors scared the shit out of me when I first saw it. A remake could be great, but it would have to walk that fine line between terrifying and campy.
Avatar    Sun. 7/3/16 4:01am mariano:

David Patrick Kelly has such a perfectly demonic face and voice, legendary villain, very scary.

Nyc ghosts, a thousand leaves, washing machine and experimental jet are all great underrated albums I think
Avatar Swag For Life Member Sun. 7/3/16 5:12am coelacanth:

Thanks Jonathan! i'm not leaving but just in case - because i may fall asleep. (which from me is always a compliment!)
ciao

@Kafuka: Yeah, I never understood all the hate for Experimental Jet Set, it's got some really good stuff on it.
Avatar Sun. 7/3/16 5:17am Jherweg:

This album gets shit on too, and i think it's so dope.....
  Sun. 7/3/16 5:21am Kafuka:

@mariano are you Italian?
Avatar Sun. 7/3/16 5:24am Jherweg:

Everyone's asleep....zzzzzzzzzz
Avatar    Sun. 7/3/16 5:25am mariano:

@Kafuka: Actually Spanish -- the name comes from my father's side of the family, my great-grandfather came to the States during the Spanish Civil War. It's a name that could be Italian too though. Honduran on my mom's side, but with lots of German and Irish in there as well. I'm one of those newfangled white Hispanics according to the new classification.
Avatar    Sun. 7/3/16 5:25am mariano:

Not asleep at all, loving this SY/LR set!
Avatar    Sun. 7/3/16 5:30am Sem Chumbo:

Hiya, Jonathan. Been lurking and listening. Glad to have a chance to hear you again.
Avatar Sun. 7/3/16 5:36am listener mark:

Still Listening! Now then! Back to cooking. Many get confused between baking and cooking. These are entirely two different things. If you're cooking you want moderate heat, unless you are searing,... Anyway thank you for all the music it was brilliant.
Avatar Sun. 7/3/16 5:38am Jherweg:

I'm good at eating.....
Avatar    Sun. 7/3/16 5:46am mariano:

Thanks Jonathan!
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sun. 7/3/16 5:47am fred:

Thanks Jonathan. I guess I might get to listen to the start of your show next time. That would be a first
Avatar    Sun. 7/3/16 5:48am mariano:

Awrite, he's gone, now we can all talk shit about him :)
Avatar Sun. 7/3/16 5:57am D in Miami:
