'Don't Waist Her Time' hitting 'Long Promised Road' by B.Boys buttons. I worked a CD store (when they was ones) & someone just left Disc 3 of 'Good Vibrations' box set w/ no case or anything - a really interesting period for the band ; love discovering music unpredictable ways like that... |

@RRN63: Hopefully not relevant, but a guy I knew at the time would make CDs of his own noise stuff printed with well-know bands "outtakes" labels and leave them on CD players in record stores back then. I'm sure many others did that |

I only went to the US once. Spent two weeks in Foxboro, these New England folks won me over forever. Went on with a Broncos jacket, left a Pats fan for life (that was in 1987, no "dinasty" in sight then) |

Michael, the NEers treated you that way because you're from New York. Good thing you didn't tell them you live in NJ, or you would have absolutely never heard the end of it. |

@Parq: that's quite amazing: I though the rest of the US just pretended NJ didn't even exist |

Revolution Rabbit Nov63:
...people are up here in NorthNewEngland (where I am) *because* they want to be North of NorthEast of Nowhere & don't wanna be bothered here - or, they can't escape (or are too dumb to know they should). Small towns are xenophobic - but see humans as persons more than BigCity folk. Has been suggested that NYC is really a large series of smaller neighborhoods in fact...but perhaps less xenophobia. But - tough... |

Chuck Berry drinks the same elixir as Keith Richards, I'm guessing. Anybody else get POed at all the news pieces that suggested that Scotty Moore was important only because Keith cited him as an influence? Or started with "You've probably never heard of him, but ... " |
![]() |
Sat. 7/2/16 11:55am
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:
@P-90: Maybe he has other Scorp in his chart than the SunSign. Elvis-Scotty-Black-D.C. was a great band, man! ...Anybody can be a RawkBand - but you have people w/ harmonies on rekkids - don't even try Live. Props. Beautiful. |
