Speaking of "Ceu", this:

John L. Thunder is the seventh son of a seventh son, born at 7 a.m. on Saturday, July 7, the seventh day of the week, the seventh day of the seventh month in 1917. This causes him to be kidnapped and sold to a group of men from the fictional country of Badhnesia who had been looking for someone born at this time on this day. As an infant, Johnny is given possession of the genie-like "Thunderbolt"[1] named Yz during a mystic ritual on his seventh birthday, which was intended to allow the Badhnesians to use Johnny to rule the world. However, the plan is soon aborted after an attack from a neighboring country.[2] Johnny eventually returns to the United States and lives an ordinary life until one day, while washing windows, he inadvertently summons the Thunderbolt with the magic words cei-u (pronounced "say you") when he calls for someone to throw him a sponge, which he accidentally uses to become a successful boxer. Johnny underwent several adventures (each time inadvertently summoning the Thunderbolt via the use of "say, you" in his day-to-day conversation, never realizing the Thunderbolt was responsible for the extraordinary events that befell him) before finally learning of the Thunderbolt's existence.[3] In the first few issues of Flash Comics the title of the feature was "Johnny thunderbolt".

@Sam & Dave: That's what SHE said!
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sun. 6/26/16 4:59am pacific standard simon:

Any excuse to play awesome Stax-Volt singles is OK with me. The ends justify the means.
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sun. 6/26/16 5:03am pacific standard simon:

OK, listeners, quiz time! Where did the name "Pink Monkey Birds" come from?
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sun. 6/26/16 5:20am pacific standard simon:

Oops, fatal flaw -- no real time listeners.
  Sun. 6/26/16 5:21am Mark R:

Just us chickens, apparently...

It's too late for the night owls and too early for the early birds.
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sun. 6/26/16 5:24am pacific standard simon:

Gotta be some EU listeners. It's Sunday morning, but statistics say they aint goin' to church.
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sun. 6/26/16 5:31am pacific standard simon:

David Bowie -- "Moonage Daydream" -- "You're squaking like a pink monkey bird."
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sun. 6/26/16 5:36am pacific standard simon:

I still say, run down to the record library and get some Clifford Brown (and Max Roach). Be amazed.
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sun. 6/26/16 5:37am fred:

Good morning Mark and simon and others
Simon, does WFMU count as church? I mean, there's even tithing
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sun. 6/26/16 5:41am pacific standard simon:

True, fred, true. FMU is my church. I give a ton o'bucks, yet rarely follow the party line.
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sun. 6/26/16 5:45am fred:

There's a party line?
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sun. 6/26/16 5:55am pacific standard simon:

The party line of recent, and obscure, releases. It's fine with me, but I prefer music that is older, usually.
Avatar Swag For Life Member    Sun. 6/26/16 5:58am Stanley:

Finger on the pulse? Head up his arse.
Avatar    Wed. 6/29/16 4:25pm Barnaby:
