  9:09am melinda:

This has a village people vibe
Avatar 9:11am PKNY:

@Melinda - they were on Casablanca, so you could see that they'd want to try to cash in on the formula again.

Did a check on their Wikipedia page, Sean Delaney was in the Skatt Bros, who co-wrote a bunch of KISS stuff, deepening the Casablanca connection.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:13am Ken From Hyde Park:

@melinda - I thought so, too!
  9:14am Cliff (moving to Prague!):

I wanna know which one's Sean and which one's Rocket. I can't tell from the picture
  9:15am Polyus:

I come for the hits, I stay for the history lesson.
Avatar 9:15am PKNY:

I believe Sean is the one second from the left, with the beret. Pics of him on the Interwebs show he looked like Freddie Mercury or the biker dude in the Village People.

FYI, a bunch of Twin Cities gay clubs are doing a benefit pub crawl for Orlando tonight from 5-10. Each bar hosts for an hour and all proceeds go to charity. LUSH is the last one from 9-10. Not affiliated, just allied. I'm seeing FoTC tonight.
Avatar 9:45am Cecile:

Hey, it's the Teddy Pendergrass version. ;)

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:37am sphere:

disco has always had topic songs but this feels like a stretch!
  10:37am Polyus:

This made me think "hey, whatever happened to Curtis Sliwa anyway?" Unfortunately, it looks like he became a conservative radio host and Giuliani bobo.
  10:39am jmasalle:

Sliwa is a sleezeball. The tune is kinda interesting tho...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:42am Ken From Hyde Park:

He used to appear on Howard Stern's show along with his then-wife Lisa.
  10:45am jmasalle:

Clyde McPhatter: vocal style in the 1950s imitated by Jackie Wilson, Chubby Checker, and many others... by 1964, he was on his way out.
